Exalted's second hardcover sourcebook is finally here!
Exalted: the Lunars is the second hardcover sourcebook for White Wolf's exciting Exalted RPG. The book starts with an introduction vignette, featuring several characters from the main rulebook. Next are two chapters of background, one about the Lunar Exalted themselves and their society and the other about the barbarian tribes they usually come from (and, in some cases, lead). I particularly enjoyed the shapeshifting Charms, numerous amounts of which are detailed in the book, along with two-page write-ups for each Caste similar to the Solar Castes in the main rulebook and the Dragon-Blooded Aspects in Exalted: the Dragon-Blooded (which is also a superbly-written book that I highly recommend). The book also contains an entire chapter of storytelling ideas (for those of you who aren't familiar with White Wolf's games...the Storyteller is similar to a Dungeon Master or Game Master) with info on how to possibly integrate the other types of Exalted into a Lunars story.

The one thing I didn't like about this book was the fact that it's a slight bit shorter than Exalted: the Dragon-Blooded, although it does cover the Lunar Exalted in much detail.

Illustrations are its strength
HISTORY OF CHIVALRY AND ARMOR is predominately a picture book. These illustrations are color and well-drawn, providing that added touch of detail that occasionally gets lost in photographs. There is a short text section that deals with Chivalry, the process of becoming a knight, and armor. A beautiful book.

Well illustrated
This handy volume is a pocket catalog of the latest American hardware. It's quite up-to-date, though I'm in no position to assess its accuracy or comprehensiveness.

The contents are as follow: Intro, Strategic Weapons Systems, Combat Aircraft, Support Aircraft, Special Electronic & Reconnaissance Aircraft, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Air-to-Air Missiles, Air-to-Surface Weapons, Surface Weapons, Submarines, Naval Weapons Systems, Tanks and Fighting Vehicles, Land Warfare-Indirect Fire Weapons, Land Warfare-Direct Fire Weapons, Air Defense Systems, Small Arms.

What this book lacks is an Index, and Sources and Bibilography.

A useful overview of the equipment of the most powerful military in the world. Have it by your side as you watch CNN.

Very colorful & detailed!
My elementary male students especially enjoyed cutting out these colorful knights and their armor. Some of the kids had difficulty managing the glossy sheets and would have benefited from thicker, more sturdy pages.

want to learn various late european armour styles?
This is a well researched volume. It places togather in one volume for comparison of identifiable pieces of Rhodian armour. All the pieces mentioned are photographed. Similar pieces to the ones dipicted and thier locations (where possible to tell) and referenced publications are included. Some comments about different locational preferences of style, i.e. Spanish, northern Europe, German, etc., are dispersed throughout the book. The book reads like it is, a grocery list. In other words, this is the piece, its' dimensions, location, known references, similar to, current condition, restorations, and such. It is written to be used as a reference for comarison to unidentified or future located pieces of armour. The book has two minor drawbacks that keep me from giving it 5 stars. I will admit I am being picky. It does not have a quick reference location map with major collections pointed out. Terms are used that would leave an individual uniformed about armour scratching thier head. Therefore the book was designed to be used by a select audiance. Besides these two points, I am convinced that the work is worth the money and would make a valuable contribution to the library of individuals interested in the subject.

Target, cease fire!
Panzer III & Its Varients is THE book to buy about this German Tank of WWII. All of the models and varients are captured- the prototypes, production tanks- in many excellent scale drawings, cut aways and photos.

What makes this book so excellent is the quality of the photos and line drawings. Everything is covered in a single source- hull, chassis, powerplant, suspension, turret, armament, armor, equipment- it's all there.

Two minor irritants, first is that many of the line drawings have not been translated from the German orginal. Secondly, many of the photos & drawings about the Sturmgeshutz (self propelled gun varient) are duplicated in Spielbergers work on the Sturmgeshutz.

An excellent work, a valuable collection to anyone's collection, highly recommended.
