A funny, skeptical and at the same time highly spiritual book. Corey, an independent Christian Scientist, who taught many of the luminaries of his time, eg in Hollywood, at his best: missing no chance to make a good joke, and at the same leading the reader deeper and deeper into metaphysics. I had laugh and smile a lot when I read this book; at the same time, I was touched by Corey's deep understanding of metaphysics.

This book is a reference guide to Mary Baker Eddy's collection of Miscellaneous writings. Every word that appears in her writings (or phrase)is listed alphabetically and makes researching her ideas quick and easy! A separate book is also available to reference her book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.

This is an excellent depiction of Connecticut for the resident and non-resident alike. From Connecticut's stone walls and quaint farms to its colonial images and modern aerial views, this book gives a good pictoral sampling of the state. Just enough text to keep it interesting and to inform the reader of some little-known Connecticut facts. One detriment, though, is that the book (copyright 1989) has a few "dated" photos in it. Aside from that, it is an excellent book for one to get a flavor of the natural and man-made beauty in this small state

Curt Swan was the man who, for many, drew the definitive Superman. This book is a loving tribute to the man. It details the evolution of hus style, it provides a great deal of skethcbook material, and contains many interviews with fellow comics pros and family members. One of the main features of the book is a lovely color montage of some of the most famous drawings that Swan ever did which looks stunning in full color. Highly recommended for fans of the Swan Superman and Silver Age comics in general.

As a side note, this book reprints many images from the "Kryptonite Nevermore" storyline of the 70s. Hopefully, DC will reprint that sometime in the future in its entriety as it was the best Superman story from that period.

Although Fallout is in a comic book format it is serious history. The portraits are accurate. The events leading up to the bomb are covered in depth.

The account of the government's digraceful treatment of Oppenheimer is chilling, reminding us of how the people at the top here were much like the leaders in the USSR.

This volume contains a global collection of materials for worship planning. Material is organized in several ways: by parts of the order of worship, by the liturgical year, by sacraments and occasions such as communion, baptism, weddings and funerals, and for special topic usage. Included are international artists' interpretations of scriptural events, which can be reproduced with proper credit given. Aside from worship planning, this volume provides spiritually uplifting and soul-searching reading for personal reflection.

This is a much longer more comprehensive book than Keegan's or Gilbert's books on the whole war. Very readable, interesting, detailed. Has color maps and photographs along with others in black and white. Reading the book is like listening to a discussion of various competing interpretations of facts and explanations. It's very informative. This book is far more extensive than any other one volume treatment of the war available. If you want one big book on World War II, this is far and away the most complete one out there. Covers events leading up to the war, has long chapters which are both historical (cover a period of time) and thematic (address one facet of the whole war).

Vary helpful and well written, no doubt. Mr. Kennelly is clearly well informed about the subject of his new book, The Homeowners' Guide to Hiring Contractors. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
