This is an excellent book for anyone looking for practical information on marketing research. Lots of case studies that illustrate. COmprehensive in that it covers the topics in marketing research well, but organized and presented in a simple, easy to read format. Well-structured. More practical, less conceptual or theoretical... as it's an "applied approach."

This book is probably of most use to the seasoned New Orleans traveler, as it deals with the city from the perspective of a native telling you the best places to go. Think about it - would a New Yorker send you to Tavern on the Green or to their favorite local hangout? Would a San Franciscan send you to Ma Maison or to a hole-in-the-wall sandwiched between a Chinese grocery and a laundromat? Well, "New Orleans on the Half-Shell" is no different; local, unknown places take the front seat here, leaving the touristy places to the other guides.
This is not to say that there is no consideration for the casual tourist here. You'll get all the information you need from this slim volume, from shopping to dining, tours to bar-hopping. But I'd recommend that you use this particular guide in conjunction with another, more complete guide, specifically the terrific Insight guide that doubles as a history book and cultural primary.
On a personal note, I found my favorite restaurant in all the world in "New Orleans on the Half Shell", a place not mentioned in any other guidebook. I won't tell you where it is; you'll have to read it yourself to find it.

I wanted to spend a year with just the Gospels, rather than the larger New Testament or the even larger Bible, so I picked up a copy of this book. I have been very pleased. The selection for each day is taken from a harmony of the Gospels (and the entire harmony list is given for reference in the back of the book), so as the year progresses, you move quite thoroughly through the life and ministry of Jesus. Daily readings are accompanied by an explanatory text and an inspirational text. Just a few minutes reading each day gets through it, so it's not really much of a time investment. The translation is easy to read, but corresponds very well to more traditional translations. The print is a decent size (I read mine in a rather dimly-lit church) and the binding is holding the pages in. A word to Catholics considering this book: this book is published by Tyndale, a Protestant publisher, but I haven't found anything in the commentaries that is either anti-Catholic or significantly against Church doctrine. In fact, the only item I have come across so far is a little reference to Jesus' brothers and sisters, which is definitely a Protestant concept, but a rather minor one. I am enjoying this book a lot and am glad I bought it.

The Romantics redefined english literature, and Samuel Taylor Coleridge was one of the leaders. Between he and William Wordsworth, they WERE the movement. His vision, and glorified writing style still tantalize me to this day.

I've lived in San Francisco and spent time in New York, but you can't find a better red sauce than Ralph's in South Philly. The book captures the personality of the Philadelphia institution and delivers some of the best and most authentic Italian recipes.

The book described the original design concept of the vehicle. It identified the Range Rover evolution from the beginning to 1995. The book provided the entry level knowledge to the new and current owners, the price tag, and what to look for if you are shopping for a used Range Rover. Does this vehichle fit your life style and daily living with your family. It is very relaxing to thumb through the entire book, especially those colorful pictures. Surely, it is the Rolls Royce of the 4 wheel drive.

Built from 1958 to 1973, the P 5 and P 5 B were the last Rovers to compete with the likes of Jaguar and other top British manufacturers. For this reason,a history of these cars is long overdue, and James Taylor could not have taken more trouble with his research. When the book was released, he owned four of these cars, which makes the chapter on restoration tips for prospective owners extremely useful. He also tells readers of rare models that were not available in most markets, like the extremely rare 2,4, and the 2,6, which was fitted with the same engine as the contemporary Land Rovers. In the final analysis, this is an excellent source of reference for any prevoius, current or prospective owner. To anybody who loves British cars,it is a very enthralling read, and it is sure to get anybody not familiar with Rover's history, interested in the other magnificent cars the company have produced before and since.
