Rumiko has done it again!
Rumiko has certainly done it again with Vol. 3. I love every minute of this book. I was practically on the floor laughing. It is hilarious. Yet, it still has the action we all love. Believe me, this book is awesome. This is thee best book series I have EVER seen. You'll love this book. It's great!

gotta love it
All I have to say is if you love Anime you will love this series. The graphics are wonderful. The stories are great. It has good humor with a touch of romance and horror. I could read these books over and over again for hours. I'm not just saying this about vol 3 either. All I have read so far are wonderful. But a slight warning, these things are so addictive.

Inu-Yasha is the best series yet!
This is the best manga series Ive seen so far. It is an EXECELENT drama, comedy, and fantsy, all in one.
In the beginning Kagome is a normal Jr. High kid but when she accedentally falls into the sacred Bone-Eaters well she is tranported to the Fudal Age of Japan. When she finds herself there, she goes exploring for her family owned shrine. Except it's not there. instead she finds a demon boy named Inu-Yasha.
When she finds herself surrounded by the local villagers she is taken to the village where the preistes examines her to find a remakable resemblance to the high priestes and protecter of the sacred Shikon Jewel. This jewel can give the posesser vast powers wether good or evil. Kagome is in grave danger because many demons in the fuedal age seek the jewel. but when Kagome finds that the jewel is inside her body pretecting it, it gets blown apart by an enchated arrow that Kagome shot, it breaks and the shards cover the feudal japan. Now Kagome has to team up with Inu-Yasha to set out across the feudal Japan to find all the shards before the demons do.
THIS IS AN EXCELENT MANGA!! ...

A printing error makes this an interesting book.
I won't detail the storyline for this book since others have told you. I will however, comment on this bizarre mistake in my copy. One and a half chapters of the Picolet story suddenly appear in the middle of the Nabiki=fiancee' story, messing them up. But the dislocated chapters are also printed correctly earlier in the book! So, I am reading the same stuff just in a different (and wrong) place. But other than that, I have enjoyed this section of the story. And I want to think that this odd quirk will make my copy more valuable in the future.

Ranma beginner
This is the first Ranma 1/2 I read, and it's the best! Humorous; keeps you laughing even when you're alone. Although it may have some weird concepts (a boy turning into a girl), the overall idea is brilliant!

RANMA ROCKS!!!!
I LOVE RANMA....well not literally but i mean the books...ALL of Rumiko Takahashi's books are good. If you put me on the couch and give me one of her books i won't get up until i am done! Her books are sooooo good! if you haven't read any of the books i encourage you to read 'em!

Shampoo has come!
As with all of my manga, there are some characters that I like more than others, some that I outright despise, and others that tickle me everytime I read the books. Ranma-chan and Shampoo are those two for me in "Ranma 1/2". Ranma-chan is just so much fun--she always has some weird little prank she's pulling (usually on poor Ryoga), and she is just so cute! Shampoo, a Chinese Amazon, is wild--she has been hunting the Saotomes for months, ever since she bestowed the 'kiss of death' on Ranma-chan for beating her in a tournament. But when she catches up to the Saotomes, she is once again defeated by Ranma, only since he was a boy at the time, she gives him the kiss of marriage and declares her love! Naturally, none of the Tendos or Saotomes are especially happy with this development. Ranma manages to get her to leave, but I have the feeling she will be back...

Ranma 1/2 is awsome! -^_^-
Volume 3 was the first Ranma manga i ever read. At first glance, I didn't think it would be any good (guess it was the skate-battle thing). but as i read farther, the story was more interesting. Ranma is no average high-schooler. He has the power to turn into a woman whenever a drop of water touches him. His uncle, Satome can also turn into a panda & Ryoga into Akane's pet pig, P-chan. Suddenly, Shampoo, a warrior from China, drops in for a visit (she's been hunting down female Ranma ever since she recieved the kiss of death). This time, male Ranma is there & fights her again;of course he won. Instead of getting the kiss of death,Shampoo falls in love with him;and reports that she must marry him by the rules of the Chinese female warriors (or something like that). Ryoga is overjoyed to hear this, knowing that it might give him a chance to have Akane as a girlfriend. But, Ranma wont hear of that. As he tries desperately to steal Akane's heart, A little bit of hope appears, when Shampoo "shampoos" Akane; ridding her of all memory of Ranma.

arigato, Takahashi-san! for this outstanding manga (& anime)!

IT ROCKS!
Ranma 1/2 Rocks! Ranma 1/2 Volume 3 rocks! Read it![.] In this book, Shampoo is introduced. She is a Chinese girl who is out to [destroy] girl-type Ranma. But I'll stop telling stuff now, because I don't want to spoil anything. This book is short compared to Volumes 1 and 2, so you have to immediantly buy the next ones....*sighs* oh well. They are so good, so okay^_^. Just read these books! THEY ROCK!

wow
The second last book in this outstanding series. Plot lines start coming to an end in this book. We finally get to see our hereo in a few kisses and embraces (ok the cover kind of gives it away). The end will simply have you begging for the next book.

Having read Ranma 1/2 and parts of Urusei Yatsura I was amazed by the maturity level of this series. The humour elements are certaintly their but it's raw human emotion that carries this series. At 14 volumes the plot is kept pretty tight (though i found the addition of the new tenant to Ikkoku extremely pointless) and doesn't have that drag on feeling like Ranma 1/2 does. Also the ending of this series will have more of an impact then the one Ranma 1/2 did.

Good lord
There is alot of stuff that happen sin this book. The main point being that Shun Mitaka is put out of the contention for Kyoko's affections. He does end up marrying Asuna, but the interesting part is how he ends up marrying Asuna. Also Kozue finally confronts Godai about the prospect of marriage because she has been proposed to by another man. Godai tries to tell herr that he is in love with someone else, but everything as usual ends up becoming a big misunderstanding. Kozue even kisses Godai, and of course Kyoko sees it, which fuels yet another jealous rage. Also Godai has to help out Akemi by paying the bill at a love hotel, but Kozue sees them coming out, and runs off and later tells Kyoko. Kyoko and Godai get in a huge fight in this book and it looks like everything could come to an end for their relationship. good stuff

Game, Set, Match, Yet not quite the end.
This has to be one of the finest Comedy / Drama's I have ever read. This is the second last book in the series so expect most of the story arcs to be resolved in this volume. Including all of the love triangles. Yes, most of the plot points in this volume have hilarious occurances, yet this volume also begins to take on a much more serious and dramatic tone for the series. It's a beautiful piece of writing and I recomend it to anyone who wants to laugh and cry and the same time. I have also been fortunate enough to come accross a comics store that got The final volume (Entitled Welcome Home) in on it's release date (No small miricle here in Toronto.), and you should also get that as well. It wraps up the series beautifully and show's where everyone of the major players end up when all of the growing pains and romantic angst is over. I would almost have liked this series to continue indefinately, but then it would lose it's magic and unique charm.

still loving it
It's been a while since I'd read any Inu-yasha books, but I got this and found out that I still love them. This book even has a "the story thus far" section and short explanations of the characters, for those of you like me, who need a bit of a refresher. Those two sections would also probably be helpful for those you you who are only just starting the series, although I think it would be much more satisfying to start at the beginning. This book starts where the previous one left off. Inu-yasha, Kagome, and the rest are trying to defeat the false water god. After that, Miroku ends up with problems involving his curse - if those problems are not dealt with, he will die. Then, to make things more difficult for everybody, Naraku has resurfaced and is using Sango's weaknesses against her. As ususal, the storylines were interesting and the artwork was great. Defnitely recommended.

Good book
This book is one of my favorites. I'm a huge fan of inu-yasha. And this book is supurb. If you like the Inu-yasha manga you will love the Inu-yasha T.V. show.

MY POOR LITTLE MIROKU!!
First off, I want to say that I'm am hopelessly obsessed with Inu-yasha. The only cure is to read it, watch it, and breath Inu-yasha.
Anyway, in this one poor Miroku cut his hand! ...And by doing so, windens the wind tunnel. Will he get it fixed before it sucks him up?...Will he ever be able to defeat Naraku now?....Will he ever get passed second base with Sango?...So many questions, one great volume!!

Read advise from somebody who "did it"
Jim's book is very entertaining and easy to read. His advice comes from real-life experience and it is explained in terms that any novice would understand. I recommend this book to anyone considering the cruising lifestyle, especially y you are not loaded with a bottomless cruising kitty. This book is full of practical, common sense advice.

I'm no expert, but...
This book seems to be very thorough, well constructed and executed. I've been collecting alot of cruising books over the past few years in anticipation of a round-the-world cruise (someday), and this book not only answers many of the questions I have, but also is a very enjoyable (and effective) read when your dream needs a booster shot. For this reason alone, it has aearned a place of honor on my nightstand, where it has already, and will I am sure, many times more give "the dream" the neccesary "kick".

Excellent place to start, if your starting to dream.
Howard assumes some knowledge of sailing, but you don't have to be an experienced sailor to understand and appreciate this book. It is very well organized and is about as in depth as any *single* book on such a wide subject can be. He isn't afraid to name names when recommending equipment or other books and has a good bibliography and index. If you are at all interested in the *reality* of offshore cruising, buy this book.

This series is better than I expected
I LOVE InuYasha, but could take or leave what I'd seen of the Ranma anime. I still think InuYasha is Rumiko Takahashi's best work, but Ranma's very entertaining. Every volume manages to make me laugh. This one picks up at the end of Ranma's fight with Cologne leaving her so impressed with his skill, she surrenders the prize. Next she tutors Ryoga since her battle has left Ranma vastly improved so that Ryoga has no chance. Of course, Cologne has her reasons. Martial Arts Tea Service vs a monkey follows & the volume ends with a delivery girl race Ranma refuses to lose even though Kuno is the lucky recipient of the meal

How can you pass this up?
A story about a boy who fell into cursed springs, and is now only 1/2 man, the other half...a girl. Which a martial arts theme, a panda for a father, a fiancee that he didn't mean to match up with and loads of characters all seeming to be foe, how can you go wrong?! Althought Ranma 1/2 doesn't have a deep thick plot like anime you might be searching for, its a light read and very enjoying if your just looking for a wacked out anime that will make you laugh. I highly recommend this to anyone who has liked Love Hina, Slayers, Chobits and more! :)

This series just keeps on getting better!
WOW! I think my intro said it all. Ranma 1/2 is awesome, and this book is the best in this series (I have read Volumes 1-5). It is SO GOOD I can't describe it. This book has lots more Ryoga in it (Yea! Yea!), and very interesting events take place. My only question is, where's Gosunkugi??? He's way cool ( :) ). Well, READ THIS BOOK! I RECOMMEND IT AND IT'S SO AWESOME!

When did Ryoga get a little sister?
And why does she look so familiar? Yoiko is a perky little girl who introduces herself as Ryoga's little sister. Her story is somewhat plausible, given that he finds her living in his house. As for how he could have not known about her--his whole family has the weird direction disability, and since he's been away so long, he might not have known about her. Or it could be something else.

Everyone knows that Ranma has more fiancees than any five men, but now it is Ukyo's turn to get an admirer--and it is not Ranma. Tsubasa Kurenai likes to play dress-up; a tree, a mailbox, even a one-eyed mushroom!

And how will Ranma react to getting another admirer?

Ryoga gets it all from Ranma
In the last book, Ranma disguised herself as Ryoga's fiancee--now, she's his little sister Yoiko. Both times she did this to come between Ryoga and Akane. Maybe Ranma has feelings for Akane after all...

And we get to meet a very interesting person who has a connection to Ukyo. Who--or what--is this Tsubasa Kurenai? And what is the connection to the okonomiyaki chef?

I liked this book, but I found the story with Tsubasa hard to understand. I can't explain why I was confused without giving away vital secrets..

But don't let my easily confused tendencies keep you from enjoying anotehr fun installment of the Ranmaverse!

Gotta love Yoiko
This is one of the funniest books out of the series, next to #21. In this, we meet a hopeful suitor of Ukyo's from her past, Tsubasa Kurenei, who is different from most people you meet. Lets just say that Tsubasa is quite fickle and has unique taste.
Ranma also goes to Ryoga's house under odd situation and pretends to be Ryoga's kid sister. Don't ask, just read it!

Two words: IT ROCKS!!!!
Ranman 1/2, Volume four is an AWESOME addition to the Ranma series! It is great! It has more excitement, romance, and cool guys!! (Yup, two new male characters who are awesome....plus there's Ryoga and Ranma......) In this book, you also learn Ranma's "weak spot." It's really interesting. You will know what it is if...you read the book!^^The only thing is, Ryoga isn't in this book as much as I'd like...but this book developes more of Ranma's personality, so I won't be mad. Volume four is probably my favorite Ranma 1/2 volume so far (I've read Volumes 1-4). It ends at a cliff-hanger, though. Well, Ranma 1/2, Vol. 4 (actually all Ranma 1/2 books) is really great! I highly reccomend it! Read it!

Shampoo has come!
Shampoo is one of my favorite characters, and this continues her entrance. I love Shampoo!

Joe the 12 year old comic enthusiast
volume 4 was great! there is 3 new characters, hikaru gosunkugi(creepy akane stalker), colonge(shampoo's grama), and mousse(guy that weapons come out of his sleeves) I liked this one alot becuse shampoo can turn into ranma's worst fear which is...

Inuyasha is the BEST!
Inuyasha is the bet manga i have ever read!! Inuyasha is a hanyou or an half-demon. This manga is about a girl from present times that falls into a well and get transported to the past, her name is Kagome. Kagome is the reincarnation of a dread priestess named Kikyou. Personally i think Kikyou is the best female character and Inuyasha is of course the best male character! I' won't give too much away or i'll spoil the WHOLE story...hehe...INUAYSHA IS THE BEST!!!!!! ^.^

GO INU-YASHA!
We all know of the Half-demon Inu-Yasha, the girl from the futrue, Kagome, The Monk, Miroku, And the cute little fox-demon, Shippo. Well, Inu-Yasha severed his half brother's, Sheshomaru's, arm. He has been looking for a new limb sence. Naraku shows up and the trouble begins. An over-all great read!! INU-YASHA, RAH RAH RAH!!!

Buy it now I tell you!
The Mermaid series was good, Ranma was better, Maison Ikkoku was great, and now we have come to Inu-Yasha. I'll tell you, I've read many a manga, but this series is by far my favorite. I'll admit to you I don't know any more of the story besides what happens in the first nine volumes, but as more keeps coming my love of them only grows. out of all of these books, though, only two I can call my favorites: seven and eight. If you haven't read the books I highly recomend you start with one,(no really), but if you're having second thoughts about buying this, STOP. Buy it, and buy it now. I assure you it's worth having.
