First Uncensored View of the T-72
Steve Zaloga is one of the leading scholars on Russian and Warsaw Pact armor, and this book was one of the first to take advantage of the new information that became available after the fall of the Soviet Union. It traces the development of the weapon and its deployment by Russia, its allies, and the third world customers who bought the export versions. Zaloga also reveals the Soviet designations for the various subtypes. The Russian obsession with secrecy meant that many spurious designations appeared in NATO manuals on the subject, and the author finally clears up the actual designations of the variant models. The T-72's poor performance in combat is examined and the reasons are discussed, and it is compared to its design rivals, the T-64 and the T-80. There is a nice selection of pictures of all subtypes, and a color center section by artist Peter Sarson shows the markings and camouflage of the vehicle. This title is aimed at model builders, wargamers and those with a casual interest in military technology, but the format is too limited for the dedicated historian or defense analyst.

Tank Attack: A Primer of Modern Tank Warfare (Power Series)

Excellent Introduction to Modern Mechanized Warfare
Steven J. Zaloga is one of the most gifted popular historians of armored combat. Unlike industry-oriented publications like Jane's, Zaloga explains the concepts and methods of land combat with a maximum of clarity and a minimum of jargon. It is well-illustrated as well. The book was published before the First Gulf War, and so does not reflect the changes brought on by the current generation of satellite-guided munitions, but the basic concepts remain valid.

Tao to Earth and How it BecameThe Confirmation of my Essence
When I first read Tao to Earth, I was already a firm believer of our divine selves (Essence) choosing our parents. This book became my bible and reconfirmation of self in every sense of the word.

Now with the reminders in this book (we only remember what we have forgotten, because our divine selves already knows all) I continue to see my relationships in a broader sense, and more importantly, everyone I meet fulfills my life's goals--which is to complete my growth in this incarnation and eventually my spirit's reawakening into the tao (all that is).

terrific refutation to those who think anything has changed
This is a fantastic compilation of American adults' images of teenagers in those so-pure 1930s, '40s, and '50s showing (in my view) what a warped perspective grownups display toward adolescents. This book should be a text in modern film and sociology classes, where the first exercise can be: "find the Latino" and "find the African American." More than dry treatises, the visuals in this book show that America's so-called adults in this century have maintained an irrational terror of teenagers that speaks to the awful, anti-youth climate of the '90s as much as the latest newspaper headline-lie. Highly recommended.

A moose book for children to read and reread.
The Wonder of Moose is from the series of "Animal Wonders." The front cover shows a blue-eyed moose! My children totally enjoyed this book that has lots of pictures and interesting facts about moose. The print is a nice size, and the illustrations are amusing. This book is great for an older child who has an aversion to reading. He will enjoy being a moose "expert" after reading this!

A Must Have For Wine Lovers/Learners
I cannot even begin to describe how fantastic this book is. I've been working in gourmet restaurants for about three years now and have checked out many books on wine to try and understand every nook and cranny of wines; most of the time I still felt a little confused. The way the book is organised helps you to easily understand every aspect of wine including the varietals (grapes), laws of appellations for each country and so much more. It's so easy and detailed to understand (studying is still required, trust me) and also uses graphs, maps and tables to make the information even more clear. Yes, the book can be considered a bit pricey, but if you are a student, in the industry or want to know more about your hobby, I can't think of a single reason why this wouldn't be a worthwhile investment. There are cheaper books out there, but the information they provide is no where near the quality you can get with this book; believe me, I've got a mini-wine library where most of the books will now be collecting dust because all the information I need is in this book.

Also recommended: The Oxford Companion to Wine (detailed definitions to wines, regions, etc...); Wine Lover's Companion (nice pocket guide for quick definitions to wine)

An Extraordinary Work
This is a fabulous book that belongs in the libary of anyone even remotely serious about this broad and beautiful subject. The authors have surveyed the wines of the world, and include accurate information, maps, and engaging "insider" viewpoints. The chapters on wine and food, wine and health, and wine in restaurants are particularly helpful. A fabulous reference now used in the wine programs of dozens of colleges and professional wine societies, Exploring Wine is accessible to all with an interest in enjoying wine. Well done!

Doctors should buy this book too!
Doctors don't always know medication either. While vacationing in Annapolis a doctor over medicated me and I slept for hours. I hope he buys this book!

Do doctors really know their medications?
I think both patients and doctors should buy this book. I was once over medicated by a doctor while vacationing in Annapolis and slept for hours! I sure hope he buys this book!

puzzled about editor
why is the editor of this book listed as Andrew j. Buda in the search and Brenda Adderly in the link?

A impressive stories...
The Wishbone series,I thought ,was one of those nice, quick reads.I am captivated by his elegant and lively writing.
The story is about a little white-with-brown-and-black-spots dog,Wishbone and his friend,Joe,Sam and David help to save the missing history of Oakdale together .The saving action Starts after they found out the card of LINDSAY GROVES(the relief pitcher for the Oakdale Oaks baseball team),and discovered the records of 1933 Oakdale Oaks baseball team has hidden ,even being erase. As a result, the 3 kids and Wishbone try their best to cover up the truth of the Oakdale's history.Eventually, the 1933 National Champion, the Oakdale Oaks gets their right to keep record on their victorious pass ,so the Oakdale's heroes will never been forgotten!!It is a nice work,I loved the lovely Wishbone, the enthusiastic, funny dogs which always think of pepper onion chesse Italian pizza!
It is a worthy piece of work to read.Don't miss the chance to enter the adventurous world with WISHBONE!!!Read the book!

A wonderful mysteries
"sitting on the back of the car, waving to the crowd, was Lindsay Groves.....in his original Oakdale Oaks baseball uniform....... On the sign of the car,a sign read LINDSAY GROVES----RELIEF PITCHER FOR THE OAKDALE OAKS, NEGRO LEAGUE NATIONAL CHAMPS,1933......"The truth of Oakdale's past will never be hidden again, because of the little dogs,Wishbone and his friend. It is really a worth book to read. If you want to know more about the secret from Oakdale's past, read this book, you will have great fun by this....

THIS IS A COOL BOOK!
I loved this book because I was always wondering what was going to happen next. Wishbone, Joe, Sam, and David want to find out more about the Oakdale baseball team, the Oakdale Oaks. But the books, newspaper articles, and everything else about the Oaks has mysteriously dissapeared. They try to figure out why someone would do that. Then they learn that years and years ago, something really bad happened in Oakdale. I thought this book was very exciting. Some people who wrote reviews about this book, I won't say who, said it was confusing, and not mysterious, YA RIGHT! They're WRONG! It's not confusing, and it is mysterious so HA! It's not confusing, because I read it, and it's a really great book!
