Excellent combination of songs for meditation and background
I have listened to this tape many times while traveling on long trips. It is soothing and stimulates prayer. The combination of songs are thoughtfully arranged and very well performed. I recommend it highly for meditation or as background to drown out the daily noise. I wish it was in CD format also.

Compleat Alchemist Reviewed
The Compleat Alchemist is a very good book for those who wish to create their own magical items. It covers everything from minor potions to making constructs and humonculi (sentient creatures grown in vats). The only limit is the PC's own imagination. I highly recommend it to anyone that enjoy going in depth in their own magical research. I use it all the time in my own campaign worlds.

Good material on history and future of zoos
This is an excellent resource for anyone interested in the history and future of zoos and animal parks, as well as offering an assessment of present day facilities. Pro and con essays on a variety of topics related to zoo management, aquisition of animals and captive breeding provide both sides of the controversial issue of maintaining animals in captivity. Slight bias toward the view of zoos as the only viable future situation for wildlife but still offers critical analysis of

issues involved.

The Light shall overcome the Dark. I was blind and now I see
THE EVERLASTING BOOK OF THE LIGHT!

Steve Brown, has done it again. Writing the second book in the Everlasting series of Role Playing Games. Following up with his award winning Book of the Undead, Steve has written a much needed counter to the darkness found in the first installment. In the Book of The Light. We are introduced to the various creatures of the light, or essentially good beings. Players now have the choice of playing such character types as Angels, Questers, and Daevas. Angels of course being the messengers from heaven, are available to the players in several forms, include the Exhusai or Angels of Death and the Cherubs. Questers are brave men and woman who have devoted their life to a cause, and because of this devotion, they are granted immortality and can leave through the century's striving to fulfill their goal. Daevas , are demi gods and goddess. Immortals who have at one time , might have been worshiped by the Greeks or the Norse. The Book of the Light is a stand alone, and a supplement. If you are new to the Everlasting world, you can use this book to get you started. I highly recommend that anyone who is interested in gaming, that is not gothic to the extreme like Vampire or Were Wolf. Then this is for you.

If you love golf you need this book...
Up until the release of "Fairways" it has been extrememly difficult to find accurate and thorough information on the best public-access courses our country has to offer. These guys hit the nail right on the head - they visited each course and present a consistent and fresh viewpoint throughout the book. Ricker and Stevens present each track with such vigor and fluorish that you'll be itching to go play each one for yourself. The book is chock-full of color photos and illustrations - a very nice touch in a golfer's travel guide. Highly recommended.

Fundamentals of Veterinary Clinical Pathology
This is an excellent addition to the short list of available Veterinary Clinical Pathology textbooks. It is a comprehensive compilation of essential information for both large and small animal clinical pathology written in outline form, but with very readable text. I recommend it as an essential textbook for all veterinary interns, medicine and oncology residents, clinical and anatomic pathology residents, and veterinary libraries. It will be a valuable reference for veterinary students and should be added to a veterinary practitioner's library. I compliment the authors on their efforts!

Internetworking with TCP/IP, Vol. III: Client-Server Programming and Applications, Linux/Posix Sockets Version

Average review score:

A perfect book for linux network programming
If you are a linux lover and want to dig into client/server (socket) programming , this book is a good choice.

Compared with Steven's Unix Network Programming, this book is more simply and clearly written. Not like Steven who is an expert in explaining details, Comer is good at giving a sound explanation of the network programming principle both in theory and in practice. You will find nice "Algorithm" part in many of the examples which is a good abstraction of the general problem. So after the reading you will feel comfortable because of the gain in not only knowledge but also the kind of insight you could use toward other problems. As a distinguished professor in computer science, Comer spells out the single word of engineering ,"Simplicity is beauty", again by presenting this clearly written TCP/IP programming book.

Also some most exciting stuff like RTP (realtime transport protocol), Web server programming models are also included in this latest edition of his Vol 3. And as you expected, the full source code of all the chapters is available online.

Introduction to Programming and Problem Solving With Pascal
Published in Paperback by John Wiley & Sons (1984)

Amazon base price: $33.95
Used price: $3.18

One of the excellent books I read... Unfortunately outdated.
This book and the other one on Advanced programming with Pascal are ideal for beginning computer science students to learn programming fundamentals and data structures. Needless to say, this book is outdated, but then, how many languages are "current" after two years? If you want the plain basics, get this book. If not, go for those monster 2000 page java books... Pascal is beautiful as simple things are.

Can't wait to see this one. Lilla and Dworkin is like a collaboration between Ken Vandermark and Wynton Marsalis.
