lUCIFERIAN TRASH
What a piece of new age Luciferian trash, the likes of Carl Jung, Madame Blavatsky, and Alice Bailey. Only worth the purchase to prove what an occultist he was, as well as his associates, from Madame Blavatsky's Theosophical society to Steiner's Anthroposophical Society. Good for documentation. And this new age garbage lives on in Steiner's Waldorf schools! I'm not sorry I bought the book, as Steiner's own words prove what he was and what he believed. Suggested reading, THE ARYAN CHRIST by Dr. Richard Noll.

Good Intentions, Bad Writing
I wanted to read a good account of the revolution in Nicaragua and a friend suggested Liston Pope's book. The book is a novelization of the struggle against Somosa and his henchman. It was published by N.A. Gilbert and Sons in 1996. This is a bizarre book. The basic rules of punctuation to denote dialog have been ignored. This makes it difficult to keep track of what is speech and what is description. The language is juvenile and melodramatic. All of this drags what action there is into a thick soup that suffocates the reader. I don't understand how any editor could allow this text out the door. Here is a sample typical of the style used in this novel:
"Miguel strode by with a glimpse of her forestial charms, her figure, the glint in her eye. Since a boy she had stared at him that way. She loved what Donita Reyes hated: his wildness. And she hinted sometimes, sensuous challenges that would never be taken up."
Whoa! Barbara Cartland step back. Liston Pope is the new star of sticky prose. Forestial charms? What does that mean?
I had high hopes for enjoying this book but it is very badly written. However, if you want to know more about the Nicaraguan revolution, you might want to gird you "forestial" loins and have a go at it. Good luck.

Pseudoscience of the worst sort..........
To be fair to this book, I must admit I have not read the entire book in detail...though the reason is that I found the book unreadable. I borrowed the book from the library, as I was reading a number of texts dealing with the philisophical implications of quantum physics, but was dismayed to find this book is a hodge-podge of 19th century physics and 20th century 'new-age-rhetoric'. Perhaps an exerpt from the section dealing with colours will give a clue to the writing style: Red is the male force. This color is represented by C and C#. The male force is expansive, energetic, doing, building, expressive. Red is the color given Adam, the first materialized Man. This is the beginning point of material manifestation. Energy always manifests in a triangular fashion, i.e., a single source manifesting in a dual nature or way. Hence from this position the next color to be manifest is Blue or the female color. This has been eternally symbolized as Eve taken from the twelfth rib of Adam.
