Wonderful!
My daughter is 5, and we have been reading Bob Books for about a year now. We started with the most basic set and have worked to the more difficult books. They are simple enough that she has gained tremendous confidence in her reading skills. She never gets frustrated and wants to quit. Her reading skills have far surpassed her age, and I feel that these books are part of the reason. I would highly recommend them for anyone with beginning readers! I can't say enough good things about them!

GOOD PROGRESSIVE LEARNING TOOL
WE LIKE THE WAY THE BOB BOOKS GRADUALLY GET MORE DIFFICULT - IT BUILDS CONFIDENCE AND SKILLS.

Five WOWS for Bob!
This series continues the fantastic reading series Bob Books. I use these little books in my first grade class room and also had them available for my own child when he was a beginner reader. Your children will adore these little books---simple, accessible, enjoyable. Children gravitate toward little books which the author intuitively used as her masterstroke in marketing these charming books. I love them! Kids love them! Get them all! And write and draw your own! Five WOWS!

The Haunted Hotel
It was the first book I ever read in the A to Z mysteries. I like it because it was short and there were map in the front page. It about three kid, Dink, Josh and Ruth Rose who solve the mystery of the ghost in the hotel. Read it, you will like it.

Would you want to go to a Haunted Hotel?
This book was great. I liked it because it was a good mystery for younger kids! My favorite part was when they found out who the ghost ...was! I think it was a good book and I hope other kids enjoy reading it like I did!!!!!!!

The haunted hotel
This item is wonderful!!!!! I think everyone should get a chance to redad it! Even rented on the library.Really!

Bathroom Humor
I admit it. I love to read in the bathroom. I've even been known to stay in there much longer than I need to (personal best... 1 hour... hey, I was enjoying what I was reading!). Uncle John's Bathroom Reader is a great way to pass the time in there. It is full of history, puzzles, stories, and other useless, but interesting, tidbits. Admit it. You want something to read in while you are in there. Go ahead and buy it. You'll be glad you did.

Great calendar
My husband loves this calendar. Everyday there is an interesting and often funny fact written. He just loves reading it before he goes to bed. I recommend this calendar to everyone who enjoys a bit of a laugh before going to bed.

I love this book!
This book is one of those "useless facts" books, but the useless things are so interesting and unlike other "useless facts" books, it actually held my attention because the things they talk about are interesting and relevant.

Excellent book
My son is only 4, but is an advanced reader/listener. He really enjoys the book. Initially I got it for him because he was interested in snails, but I think he likes the school aspect, and the three different adventures in the book (his first chapter book). If this book was part of a series I would definitly try others.
I also found some of the dialogs and illustration to be amusing for adults as well.

It's even funny for grown-ups!
This book made me laugh out loud, and my six year old still talks about the stories in it. The stories and pictures work together to get beginning readers to want to keep on reading. My son was especially excited because he could read a real chapter book, just like big brother. I wish there were more Snail books like this one!

One of my children's favorite bed time books!
There are 3 stories in this 64 page book, illustrated with large, colorful, interesting pictures. All the stories involve a little snail at school and how he/she engages in fantasy play. Or is reality and not fantasy, or a bit of both? Read it and you be the judge. In every adventure Snail must grapple with Mrs. Harvey the teacher, who likewise must grapple with snail's adventures, and whether they are real or imagined. Mrs Harvey never seems to push the point of how much of snail's adventures are real. As she is about to ask snail, she restrains herself; the stories end with Mrs. Harvey saying "Never mind, snail, never mind". Tom Keresztes Princeton, N

Bob forever!
The Bob books are wonderful supplementary materials for the early childhood classroom and home libraries with young children. They are progressive, innocent, gentle, and captivating. Children love them; they are eager to read them. They learn! Get the Bob books; you'll be glad you did!

Progression reading for beginning readers of all ages.
These titles worked wonders for my late bloomer at the age of six. The books are masterfully written in a style that encourages positive self-esteem. Each book gets just a little harder and more challenging without the child even aware. A must for any parent of a child with learning disabilities.

Excellent first reading books for your child!
This set of reading books is the best I have seen so far.
The Maslens have created a masterpiece for teaching our young children to read by phonics. Step by step progression allows your children to just about teach themselves how to read.
They enjoy the stories & simple yet funny pictures and can be proud because it is so easy & quick to get through a book.
Also an advantage is the sturdy easy to turn pages. All around these books are great!

The Canary Caper
My name is Arden Feldman. I think that the book was very good. I liked how they solved the mystery. I really liked the part when the kids came out of the bushes and they looked like ninjas. I could not stop reading the book because it was so good.

Good Mystery
What I like about the book is that the book has a lot pages to read and is interesting about A canary.
The canary is lost and there are three kids, Dink Josh and Ruth that found the canary.
The book is a good book for kids who like mysteries.
I like to read too much.

Nice children's mystery!
My 5 year old son loves this series -- we read them as quickly as they come out. In this one, pets are disappearing -- but why? These are not exactly mysteries -- unlike, say, the Clue Jr. books there's no way for the reader to solve the crimes before the crooks are caught -- but they are interesting and fun to discuss, chapter by chapter, as the plot thickens!

Excellent Book
When Mandy and James are playing near the pond they find a duck nest, but only one egg is still warm which means that one is still alive. Mandy decides to try to hatch the duckling and make a diary/journal about everyday with the duckling, which she names Dillon.

This is an excellent book for readers 10 and under.

Finally they found Dillon.
In this book, Duckling Diary, Dillon the duck gets lost but is found. I like the part when every one was happy to see Dillon, like this:" Mandy went shopping and Dillon got out of his cage and went in the green-house. Mandy got back and Dillon was gone. She searched, and searched. Mrs. Todd was right, everyone was pleased to see Dillon home at last. And Mandy was right too. Dillon was the most famous duck in Wellford", and that was my favorite part.

Excellent Book for Young Readers
This is a wonderful book about a young girl (Mandy) and a duckling (Dillon) she raised from birth. I found the content of the book excellent for young readers.

A Wonderful Collection
If you want to understand Hauerwas' thought on the issues of the day, as well as his method for doing ethics, begin here. The selection of essays for this text allows you to see many facets of Hauerwas' writing. The opening essays attempt to show how Hauerwas goes about doing ethics. They explore the way narratives impact the living of life and what Christian discipleship looks like. The later essays explore particular social issues, such as war, capitalism, sex, and medicine. The introductions and conclusion by other authors help to understand some of Hauerwas' thought. The essays in this book range from complex to simple and straightforward. There is something here for everyone, though some of the essays might be a struggle for those who are unaquainted with Theology and Ethics. Be prepared to disagree with some of the things Hauerwas says. However, if you want a thought-provoking book that deals with the issues of the day, this is it.

Clear and thought provoking.
This is the collection of essays through which I was introduced to Stanley Hauerwas. I wish I had begun reading him sooner. Hauerwas' arguments are clear and to the point, and some of his comments are jarring; but then, we need to be shaken from our complacency. I like that fact that Hauerwas can combine what is sometimes an abrasive manner with humility. He truly seems concerned not only with whether we think through these problems, but also with whether we properly understand what the problems are that confront us as Christians. I recommend this book to anyone who is concerned with ethics and especially the manner in which Christians should respond to the issues of the day.

A valuable reference
Stanley Hauerwas is probably the most influential contemorary Christian ethicist. While prolific, Hauerwas can be frustratingly difficult to read, especially if one's goal is to get a sense for his overall "system." (He avoids this last word like the plague.) This anthology provides an excellent way to learn Hauerwas's approach to contemporary Christian ethics and his views on a range of topics.
