Eloise, we love you too!
HONEY, I LOVE and other love poems is simply put, one of the all-time best books of poetry ever written - and it is loved and enjoyed by adults as well as children. Eloise Greenfield's poetry is full of wisdom, simplicity, and elegance. The title poem reflects a childhood any child would be privileged to have - a "flying pool," a cousin from the South whose words just kinda "slide" out of his mouth, a Mama whose arm is for holding her child...and for being kissed. What more could anyone need? The other poems are brilliant as well - especially HARRIET TUBMAN who didn't "take no stuff." This poem, in fact, is an anthem for school children everywhere, who love a hero and aspire to be one as well. Poetry doesn't get any better than the stuff that comes out of Eloise Greenfield's experiences, heart, and pen. As an author and teacher myself, I admire the timeless nature and awesome craftwork in this book, and I share it every chance I get. Honey, you'll love it!

Great story
I love to see positive Black Books and Eloise Greenfield fits the bill. This story tells of a toddler and the various ways she makes music. The pictures are simple yet full of life and the story really flows. My Maddie requests this book over and over so I think this is the perfect book for any toddler.

Wow. What a great read.
Wow. What a great read. I especially liked where the dwarves were lost in the forest and the cyborgs told them how to find the beach party. When Frankie Vallee showed up, I was blown away! You gotta get this one. A must have!

A very interesting read of life before the Taliban.
With all the turmoil in the Afghanistan and that area did you ever wonder what it was like before all the unrest? Eloise Hanner has put together a collection of letter to her mother that takes you on a journey and shows you life pre-Taliban.
Over the 170 plus pages you get a new insight into the people, the land, the culture and the world. Hanner walks you through the streets and you get to meet and talk with the people.
While the book is short in pages, it is full in details and it makes a great read. It is too bad that photos weren't included top put faces and places with the stories and letters. Overall a delight to read and pass on to others.

Great New Internet Marketing Book
I recently purchased this book and have found it to be extremely helpful in understanding the intersection of marketing and the Internet. I am a computer engineer trying to better comprehend the world of business. This book provides both theoretical and practical insights that have been extremely useful. The book is very well written in a style that is accessible to an outsider, yet covers the topics in significant depth.

A view from inside the Wall
Many books have been written on Cold-War Germany, but this one is unique. Schindler, an American married to a German pastor, was there; this is no second-hand account. She brings alive the day-to-day tensions and struggles of a time and place in history that changed forever when the Wall came down in 1989. It is full of fascinating details that only Schindler's book has so far given us. I sensed that there is more to tell, and I hope she will write a sequel.

THE MONEY ROOM
I think this is a wonderful book. I've read it at least seven times. At the beginning, Scott and his sister move in their mother's uncle's house. They hear about a "money room" and decide to search for it. They meet a few friends along the way, and solve the mystery of who's been messing around on their property. They find a tin box in the attic full of money, but later their parrot "accidently" finds the real money room...

A Darling Book
This is a darling book with true life illustrations. This book was recommended by the Before Five In A Row book. I ordered it used and received the book in perfect condition. It's a good book for exploring nature for children ages 2-5. Also, the illustrations provide good examples of nature, in the case you want to do nature journaling.

Tamika appears to be around six years of age. That is a time when children are so impressionable. That which is trivial to an adult is of great importance to child; therefore, the story has a relevancy for all who care about and deal with children.
Tamika reminds me so much of my niece who really adores her grandfather, my dad. As I turned the pages, reading the text and admiring the beautiful illustrations, I could only imagine how my niece would react to the unfolding events. This is a sign that the book can have meaning for all.
Miss Greenfield has used clear vocabulary that successfully tells her story to the young reader.
The book comes highly recommended!
