boring
My 9 year old daughter had to read this book for school and thought it "wasn't that exciting" and didn't really like it.
Dull; lacks action
This story of an African-American girl whose problem is a refusal to get mad is more like a series of somewhat idealized vignettes of inner-city African-American family and school life with a very modest underpinning of plot. "Koya Delaney" was one of six books assigned for Book Bowl reading in my children's own inner-city school. It's the only one I didn't find engaging. It's possible that some girls might really like it, but for the rest of us, it's a wash.

Not Very Informative
My mother was recently diagnosed, and I bought this book hoping it would be an informative summary of treatment methods, statistics, and coping strategies. Unfortunately, it is not. It contains pretty much the same general information that can be found on the American Cancer Society web site, and I would recommend the National Cancer Institute's PDQ service for much more comprehensive clinical information. Also, my mother's oncologist provided several pamphlets that were just as good or better on treatment side effects and coping strategies. As far as I can tell, this book's main merit is its case studies, all of which have positive outcomes. These may give patients more hope. However, the price of the book is a little steep if that's all one gets from it. I would recommend that patients and families do their own research: it's more empowering, it's free, and the information is better.

It is a valuable materials for Eliot's negativity
I think this booek is a good book in order to figure out what Eliot think about negativities through Christian doctrine.
Professor Hay searched the whole range of negativity from phiopsophical to christian doetrine.
She started from philoshphical appreaches in negativity to religious approaches. The whole scope of negativity include Eliot's critical doctrine to riligious principle.
this book shows Hay's perspectives about Eliot's spiritual structure ranging from negativity to affirmativity. Changing to affirmativity is achieved through earlier poem to later poetry reaching the still point, the symbol of unification to God.
