I got this book as a tech student and it is great if you study this book you should have no problem passing the certification exam. It is packed with alot of info. I really like how the explain the answers. Instead of just telling you the right answer it also explains why that is the right answer. I would recommend it to any tech student.

I have just finished recertifying and most of the questions in this review book were either word for word or a rearrangement of a question from this book. I have taken and passed the CST exam twice using this book as my primary source for study material. My advice as a surgical tech of 16+ years - Buy this book now, you won't be sorry !

Because of the many multiple choice questions and catagories of this review book; all subject matters and possible test questions are covered throughly. By repetatively performing the various test and reviewing the answers I got wrong, I felt well prepared for the certification test.

This book (and it's companion volume) are highly appropriate for families, children of most ages and for less than highly active adults.

We bought this book when my son was 3 and my daughter was still catching a ride in the backpack. We needed easy but nice hikes and boy did we find them. It gives good accurate directions and realistic difficulty rating. A big plus if you are hiking with toddlers. My kids are now 6 and 4 and is still our favorite hike book. You won't be disappointed and you will find a ton of hikes that are close to home yet you feel miles away.

This book will give possibilities for varying degrees of difficulty hikes and day spots to visit. The best resource I have ever found.

This collection is a triptych of poems that focus on culture, family, and the personal landscape of marriage. Logghe writes of the beauty of northern New Mexico's Espanola Valley and the problems experienced by an outsider upon entering this special place. She has lived in New Mexico for 18 years and spent 15 years writing these poems. Check out "Something like Marriage." Graceful, hopeful, and wonderful.

Joan is a very talented poet whose work is lyrical, fun, real, true! All of her work reads well.

No finite amount of stars could express how much I've gained by reading Logghe's passionate rythmic poetry. She makes each poem divine, yet accessible and wholly intelligible. Logghe is an honest poet who reveals her tenderness and love of the world and family through the most ordinary language. The material aspect of the book is also quite simple and beautiful.

I'm sure that this book will soon find it's way back into print after Knight's dismissal from Indiana University. Whether you believe that Knight was the greatest college basketball coach of all time, or the biggest bully of all time, you owe it to yourself to read Mellen's book. Say what you will, Knight is not a simple man. After reading this book, you may not have any symphathy for Knight, but you can't dispute his knowledge of the game, determination, and committment to excellence.

Joan Mullen's book is an eye-opening experience for the typical college basketball fan. She looks past all of the hype surrounding one of the game's greatest coaches and gets down to his true passion: The success and development of the young men trusted to his care. This is great book and illustrates the many facets of Coach Knight. I highly recommend it, especially for those of you who have already read Feinstein's book, A Season on the Brink. This book offers a more objective approach.

This book is a fascinating look at the general, Robert Montgomery Knight, one of the most interesting coaches in all of sport. This book follows him through a season to give you a total picture of the man. It shows you far more than the narrow, negative view John Feinstein took, and it also debunks many of the myths about Knight the media has created. Through it all you see Knight's humor, wisdom, candor, ability, and yes ocassionally his temper. You see why he is the character, and the winner he is. You also see why his players love him.

My two and a half-year-old niece has gone Boo and Baa crazy, and requests the Boo and Baa stories several times daily. She makes up little songs about Boo and Baa, and refers to them even when she's not reading the books. I think the appeal is that the stories are about things young children can relate to, and often have experience of, and the hapless sheep find the world as surprising as little ones often do. They may not know why things happen the way they do, but have fun anyway. Also, Boo and Baa are a boy and girl, and they are portrayed as equals. Both are enterprising, both can get a little scared or apprehensive, and they are not slotted into doing "boy things" and "girl things" respectively, but both can do everything, as opposed to many other children's books. This series is a great choice for young readers!

My three year old son loves vacuums. This little book is perfect. You can't go wrong buying it!

I bought this book for my son when he was 2 because he was infatuated with vacuum cleaners. It is a very cute book about two sheep who decide to clean their house. They have some mishaps along the way, but they get the job done. If your child loves vacuums, this book is a must-have. It is one of a very few children's books that mentions the vacuum cleaner! It is a cute book even for the non-vacuum-lover!

I loved this book! The characters were real and raw, the plot moved smoothly, and the elegance of the writing made the love story even more touching. I felt like I was transported into the story, and I never wanted to put the book down! I highly recommend this novel -- this is some of Wolf's best work. I cried more than once!

I had previously read another Joan Wolf book - The Road to Avalon - and quite enjoyed it. Actually, quite enjoyed it is not saying enough. It was absolutely wonderful and I laughed and cried and cheered and cursed and lived along with it. That was an Arthurian book. This book takes place almost 100 years after Arthur's death when the Saxons and Britons really start mixing, peacefully and at war. Definitely an engaging book, one that I could barely put down.

This book by Joan Wolf is part of a trilogy on the making of Britain, starting with King Arthur and Morgan in The Road to Avalon, this one, Born of the Sun, and ending with Alfred the Great in The Edge of Light. Born of the Sun is about the clash between the Celts and the Saxons in the 6th century. Although it is less based on outside sources than the other two (just the the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle instead of legends or historical records), it is a powerful, moving novel about what might-have-been, and indeed probably was. The main characters, the Saxon Ceawlin of Wessex and his Celtic wife Niniane, have a beautiful love story, set against the turmoil of the times. Ceawlin did exist, and, as Wolf says in her afterword, was one of the few kings in the AS Chronicle upon which the Saxon title of Bretwalda, or "ruler of Britain" was bestowed. BUT, don't read this book for the history. Read it for the writing, as always superb - Joan Wolf is in top form. Do yourself a favor and buy this book today!

I am a Spanish speaking teacher. I used this dictionary when I was a Foreign Languages student in my hometown. It taught me that, when learning a foreign language, one needs to REALLY know one's OWN mother tongue. It is a great tool for expanding one's language universe.

At the time of my first daughter's death in 1986, this was the *only* book I could find that was of any help to me. While other books at the time relied heavily on expressions of "faith" to guide and support bereaved parents, this exquisite book uses photographs of art and poetry from throughout history and cultures to illustrate and describe what a parent feels. This is an excellent book in a time of despair. I have also read "A Broken Heart Still Beats", finding that book valuable, but frankly - for our family, "A Child Dies" better filled our needs. This book uses art and poetry to help the reader connect with the timelessness and universality of grief. It is a briefer read than "A Broken Heart" and the chapters are segmented into topics such as: death of an infant,young child and older child. I found that the chapter written for specifically for caregivers useful.

The authors exude compassion, wisdom and experience. They gently confront the gruesome issues the parents of a lost child will likely encounter (martial problems, interaction with others, etc). My 9-month old grandaughter was killed the first day of the new millenia, by a drunk driver, as my daughter was walking her in her stroller. Needless to say, our families are shattered. My daughter and I found this book the best of several which we have read in these two hearbreaking weeks.

I could not expect anything more from a thesauras. This has all the words I, through my preteen years, have needed, without boggling my mind with lots of words that I never try to use. I don't feel overwhelmed, but I DO find the information I need.

_The_Clear_and_Simple_Thesaurus_Dictionary is the most practical thesaurus I have found for use with my fourth- and fifth-grade students. Unlike many thesauruses, it is formatted in a style that students (and adults!) will find familiar and easy to use. While not as comprehensive in scope as those designed for college use, this thesaurus allows students the satisfaction of finding synonyms or associated words for almost any word they might need. I had not found this to be true of other "beginning" thesauruses, which was a frustration to both my students and to me. This gem was a major find, and is now in regular use in my classroom. I highly recommend it to any teacher of intermediate or junior high age students, as well as to parents who want a truly helpful resource for their school-age children.

DYNOMITE! Albarella and Nikki Barnes are back! Nikki, of course, finds herself in trouble - although warned by her concerned partner, Dr. Virginia Clayton, not to get involved - Nikki simply can't help it. Barrett is once again on the scene, cooking up a storm and getting in deep trouble to help Nikki, and I suspect (if I'm reading between the lines correctly) still enthralled by the unassuming Rev Barnes. It's my favorite Nikki Barnes yet!

Albarella, In Close To You" doesn't hesitate to tackle tough social issues - GHB (the use of the date rape drug), lesbian relationships and how they can be perceived by the "straight" community, the solid blue line of the Police Department (enter a new character, Detective Ana Ramos), and the truth that handicapped people are viable and sexy (as demonstrated by another new character - Taylor Fleming - who is going to drive you crazy!)

This is the best Nikki yet. Joan Albarella spins a great, well-written tale - but you know in your heart - it is on some level a true tale. A very good read. Agenda For Murder and Called to Kill - also recommended, BUT - this is the BEST yet!

This writer has a deep fund of wisdom as well as humour, and writes an engrossing story. As another reviewer says, she just gets better and better.
