This is a wonderful little book. I sent a copy to three friends because I enjoyed it so much. The writer's exuberance gave me a lift just reading it, his joy is contagious. While he has a good foundation in the Eastern mystical tradition, his path is one of enjoyment of the physical life as a gift from Spirit. The book would be worth the price just for the third chapter which has so many techniques for Spiritual awakening. Many have spent years if not decades searching for these "secrets" I keep the book on a table so I can see it during the day, not only for the beauty of the cover photography, but because the title reminds me of how we should embrace each and every moment.

This is a wonderful guide book for those who want to feel the bliss of existance that is available to us right now. This ancient science is made easy and accessible for modern westerners. Mark Jones has perfected these practices and attested to their effectiveness in a completely down-to-earth and believable way that enables the reader to simply stop procrastinating and do these practices right here, right now. The cerebro-spinal system is ready and waiting to be made a conduit for the eternal bliss that the sages tell us about. Read this book now!

Anodea has put together a wealth of information on the chakras from her experience and has presented it in such a way as to be practical and applicable to day to day life.

As a student of Energetic and Spiritual Healing I have studied many versions of work on the chakras. Although I have attended training and studied the works of Caroline Myss (who seems to be the favourite at the moment) I have to say that for thorough information on the chakras and methods of practically working with them, I prefer Anodea's work (books and audios).

This six-tape series is incredible. I have listened to each tape at least twice, and have gotten something extra each time I listened. Diane Stein strongly recommended all of Anodea Judith's work, and I agree wholeheartedly. I will be ordering more of Anodea's books and tapes in the near future. Thank you so much

Being a student of the author, I am somewhat biased in my assessment of his book, but frankly, I think it's great. As a student of Chi Kung, I am always in search of resources from which to learn the art and then pass these resources onto others. I have to say that Jim's book is one of the most complete and clear that I've read, thanks to the array of contributions from leading practitioners. However, the jewel of this book is that underlying the entire work is Five Element theory, an extremely effective though lesser known approach to acupuncture than TCM. Five Element functions both as a basis for a healing art and as a profound approach to life. Enjoy the wealth.

James MacRitchie is one of our gifted interpreters of the secrets of ancient China. This is his third book on Chi Kung - Qigong, the mother of Tai Chi. His exploration of the Qi (Chi) cultivation arts is assisted by 22 of the most impressive luminaries on this suject in the modern era -- Jahnke, Johnson, Garripoli, Winn, Weil, etc. MacRitchie's incredible crafting of his own writing, the writing of this impressive team of experts, the illustrations and photographs, creates one of the more definitive of the contemporary books on the subject of Qigong and its roots into the deep and rich soil of Chinese philosophy, medicine and culture.

As a student of the Occult for many years I highly recommend every book of Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki. But this book is a special one; this is the Master Magician playing the concert piano of the Holy Qabalah, performing the Music of the Spheres with such exquisit images, meditations, rituals that the Sound of the Creater becomes visible when you read the book. It moves me and toutches me deep in my heart.
I recommend this book as well for the beginning student as for the advanced student on the path of magic; Dolores is one of the greatest teachers of our time who is truly able to 'tap into the Universe' herself; she is original and inspiring.
She has the skill to make abstract ideas and images very accessible. Her writing style is very personal, when you read her book it is almost like she is sitting in your home and telling you her story, and in the mean time she seduces you to take on a gigantic amount of Work. But you know what... you will love it.

I am in the process of reading this book, and will update this when I have finished it. So far, it strikes me as a profoundly healing work. Born out of her own pain, as the author states, it not only introduces the unfamiliar reader to the power of the Hebrew letters, it also contains new insights and information for those already familiar with them.

It provides the reader with clear instructions on how to work with the letters. A beautifully written prayer begins each chapter, setting the scene for her ideas about and analysis of each letter. A clear picture of each letter is included. Her instructions for how to use each letter in meditation, as well as a ritual specifically written for each letter, are all included.

In her introduction, Ashcroft-Nowicki sets out a course of study for the entire alphabet. Students can do as much with these instructions as they wish. As one follows along in the book, the idea of how to heal the self of past hurts and sadness is clearly built up. This is a powerful, compassionate process, reflecting the personality of the author of the book, and of course even more reflecting the true nature of the letters themselves.

I have known the author for many years and want to disclose this to be honest in this review. However, long before I met her I had read some of her books, and the way her writing spoke to me--the way she presents ideas--was what drew me to meet her eventually. But even if I had never met her, I would be writing an identical opinion of the book. If you have any interest in these letters, which form the basis of one of the world's great religions and also contribute so much to the Western Mystery Tradition, read this book.

I must confess to a vested interest in any book by Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki... she is my Master.

Having said that I was totally "blown away" on first reading through "Illuminations". So much so that I have put aside all my other books (I normally have about 4 or 5 on the go at anyone time) and restarted it to use it in the way it is meant to be used - as deep meditative study. I will not attempt to spoil your adventure by describing the contents, but will only catechise you to go out and buy this book.

You will not regret it.

(myself included) I have read other Qigong books but none have come close to the Pure Knowlege and Inherent Wisdom that this book holds. Master Wu is a true Master. And that alone, speaks for itself. As does the book. Musical Qigong will change your life 'if' you read it with an open mind and apply the exercises with a honest heart. This author assigns the inner child the responsibility of accepting and distributing Reiki, whereas, others have assigned these tasks to the higher self. Until this conflict is resolved I will believe this version, as it is convencing. In "a tip from Shamanistic healing" (p43), Reiki is combined with herbs in a manner similar to the method described in Kryon Book 3 (p147), "Healing Tools" (In the new energy). Also interesting, item 5 (p13) addresses the use of a combination of holistic systems with Reiki, a process which Kryon Book 3 (p144) calls " a melding of the sciences", which can increase your healing power threefold. I appreciate the organization of this book, especially the identification of the type of Reiki being used as either level I or Level II, the figure with the positions on the facing page of the description of the special position, the seven Laws of Reiki, the 12 rules of Reili with food, 5 ways to determine special positions, and how to use Level II to bring the inner child and/or the higher self into the healing process. After reading this book I have ordered 2 other books about Reiki by this auther, Walter Lubeck.

I found this book very informative and helpfull. It really put Reiki in a practical application that we can all use everyday (especially if you are a Nurse, Doctor, or professional Reiki practicioner). One of the most usefull and comprehensive books that I have read on Reiki. A DEFINITE MUST!!!

The first section of the guide covers self-healing techniques and also provides a chart outlining the 7 energy centers of the body, while the latter section focuses on those techniques that can be used for treating others. Clear, concise instructions accompany the photos to illustrate each point.

The origin of Reiki is mentioned, along with the various stages a student passes through during training. To highlight the various ways the acquired skills can be employed, several testimonials are included from students who have successfully used the techniques to bring about healing in their lives, and the lives of others.

This course is ideal for beginners desirous of finding their true potential via hands on healing, and for the experienced practitioners who want to further their studies and increase their knowledge of this natural healing art.

The book has excellent photos illustrating hand positions and treatment options both for self treatment & treating others. The treatments are illustrated in two page spreads, with page numbers to the larger illustrations & explanations, a useful format. The book also lies flat to make use of this feature.

The author suggests that the book & tape (I haven't heard the tape) would be good for those unable to get much 1 on 1 training or practice, and this seems very likely.

The written material is good, though not too in depth, but the pictures make this an excellent book for anyone new to or interested in learing about Reiki.

Outstanding. The best of the 16 chakra books I have read. Easy to read, it is filled with information I have not found in any other books, and an amazingly simple yet profound healing technique.

It would be easy to find fault with this book, typos, grammer errors, but the content is outstanding. A very serious document, and a must for any person seriously seeking healing. It changed my life.

Taiji Qigong by Chris Jarmey is a genuine breakthrough is literary excellence on the subject of Qigong. The clarity of the text is outstanding, whilst the content enables one to fully understand at a cerebral level what qigong is all about. The book then gives precise instructions on how to do Taiji Qigong, with emphasis on exactly what your mind should be doing throughout. In my opinion, this book should go straight to the front of the intelligent person's bookshelf.

As a practitioner of daoist meditation and qigong, I found this book by far the most well laid out and comprehensive text on the subject. Not so complex as to lose the reader, but a perfect balance between practical advice and theoretical background. Great stuff.

Not since janeAnne Narrin's book, One Degree Beyond, A Reiki Journey Into Energy Medicine has there been a book with such heart. Here (in the heart of the writer) you can find the very essence of what Reiki is all about.

Having read numerous books on Reiki and a student of metaphysics for over 30 years I encourage anyone who is interested in self healing and healing others to read Dr. Mill's book. Dr. Mills writes with a style that many authors never acheive. The ability to write for both the novice and Reiki Master. Reading this book may be the best thing that has ever happened to you.
