Small Hours of the Night, Selected Poems of Roque Dalton
Dalton's poetry is intense, and exudes revolution in every verse. Knowing a history of the poet's life and struggle, you get a greater feel and appreciation for all his work. His pain, love, and hate all mixed together delivers the most powerful poetry I've ever read. I enjoyed this book immensely, and recommend it to all of those that are a rebel at heart.

Must have for your collection
In Dalton's words you can hear his pain, loss and anger; but it's his love and romantic vision that you take away. I tresure this book and it stands as my most read book.

Give me a break...
Once again another worthless book. This is what one can expect when they buy a book unseen. I didn't find much of anything very useful.

Great book - easy to read - simple to do.
This book I believe is primarily aimed for those new to sys admin. Even experienced professionals would benifit though because of quite a many tidbits of valuable insight. This mainly though walks you through the many wizards providing usually more explanation that that is given by default with the OS. A new admin under my wing, has been using it and he finds that it provides confidence as he works his way through many of the tasks. Well written book with lots of pictures.

For the Writer inside or the Writer in Your Life.
In the tradition of "little instruction books", this volume is full of short tips on writing well and getting published. These secrets will motivate, instruct and make you laugh.

The tips are categorized by chapter: inspiration, characterization, dialogue, plot, style, technique, writer's block, editing, marketing, the business of writing, reading & writing and the writing life. There is an index to help you find valuable passages again.

THIS IS A GREAT GIFT for yourself or for the writeaholic who is making your (co-dependent) life miserable.

As the author of 113 books (including revisions and foreign-language editions) and over 500 magazine articles, I recommend this book to writers. DanPoynter@ParaPublishing.com.

Quick Concise Ideas that work!
This is a great book to help keep you focused on what it takes to not only write a great book but to get it published! A friend loaned it to me for daily inspiration and I wore it out while waiting for traffic, waiting for the dentist, etc. Great to keep with you to keep you motivated and on the right track!

Great Book for Wargamers
This book is great for wargamers and others interested in two of the key German forces in WW II's Battle of the Bulge. Kampfgruppe Peiper is shown with great detail as to what types and quantities of tanks and troops were at specific places at specific times. The battles at Stoumont and La Gleize are well documented and the writing style will put you in the heat of battle. You will want to supplement this fine book with another Osprey title, The Ardennes Offensive,VI Panzer Armee.

Excellent book to use to come up to speed
A number of books out there look at Visual Basic for Applications, but this is the only one so far that focuses on the newest version of Access. I found this book to be invaluable in cutting through the clutter and getting me straight to the practical applications of VBA. The authors take you through basic programming tenants but don't dwell on them. Rather they jump into examples that are very interactive and instructive. Their examples are clear and are good starting points to expand from on your own. It is not an exhaustive reference, but you benefit from it more if you have some decent Access experience. If you don't know a database, you are not going to learn here. But in just a few weeks after reading this book, I find myself going again and again into the examples as starting points for my own projects. And it is amazing how a little bit of programming will impress the users.

There are a couple of mistakes in the book that can inhibit your code from running. In addition, the database supplied has dates of 1998 and 99, but the book uses dates in 2001, so you have to adjust your code in order to get results. And unfortunately WROX has shut down its errata area so you can't really get help with these problems. So don't assume if your code doesn't work, it is your fault. This is where the code on the CD can be helpful - if it doesn't run right it's the program, not the programmer.

Overall with a little patience and work, you can get a huge amount of help from this book.

Encounters with the Divine
Martin Buber gives us collected writings of well known and unknown mystics. First published in German in 1909 this wonderful work gives a good introduction for anyone who wants more knowledge and confirmation of the existence of the Divine in our finite lives. LK 11:9 "And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Other works that have passed the test of times are "The Interior Castle: St.Theresa of Avila", "Dark Night of the Soul: St. John of the Cross", "The Dialogue of Saint Catherine of Siena" and "The Spiritual Life: Evelyn Underhill.
