I am the author of this book and I would like to add a few words to the publisher's remarks.

The book focuses on no-cost and low cost projects for buildings of any type. The projects are arranged within each chapter in order of increasing complexity. The first ones begin with projects that, say will apply to any building (including residences), then they get increasingly complex. So there are projects for any budget and any type of facility. In fact, the emphasis is on those that can be done as part of regular maintenance!

The intended audience is not strictly engineering design professionals as you might expect from the title, but also architects, designers, facility managers, realtors, and small business owners.

Finally, there is a form in the book by which you can request some software (available free from my web site) to evaluate the projects featured in the book. Energy analysis of buildings is a complicated business and it is very educational to have a simple computer routine to study an actual building. The software compliments the projects nicely, allowing many potential projects to be evaluated easily. For example, changing roof color or window shading or operating hours.

I recommend this book to anyone who ever wondered about the mysteries of an internal combustion engine. It is written for students and it covers the technical as well as practical aspects of small engines. It takes you through a blow-by-blow engine tear down and rebuild but is still an easy read. All aspects are covered from valve clearances (I know what that is now!) to rope pulls. Although this book was written for the person who plans on becoming a professional, I (a complete novice) was able to rebuild one engine and two carburetors for myself, and troubleshoot several other engines for friends who think I'm magic now.

Provides insight on how an electric meter works. Nice idea for a science project. Shows how inaccurate a meter can be.

Eilenberg's book opens the complex and fascinating topic of intellectual property, in addition to providing brilliant readings of the major poems of these two seminal Romantic poets.

This workbook has been extremely helpful in helping me study and definatly improving my comprehenstion of the materials I am learning in School. In Study Power the Book and Workbook, they cover: Part A: Input, which covers Chapter 1 Listening, Chapter 2 Note taking, Chapter 3 Study Reading, Chapeter 4 Class Participation as Input. Part B: Chapter 5 Managing Yourself, Chapter Managing Time, Chapter 7 Concetration, Chapter 8 Managing your Learning, Chapter 9 Managing your memory, Chapter 10 Class Participation as a Process Skill, Chapter 11 Test Peparation. Part C: Chapter 12 Test Taking, Chapter 13 Test Anxiety, Chapter 14 Test Taking, Chapter 15 Papers adn Written Reports, Chapter 16 Oral Reports, Chapter 17 Class Participation as Output. This sounds like alot, but really it isn't. The book was an excelent read, and there was not a boring moment, and as for this workbook, it was easy to follow and had additional information the Book did not. Also, it has many exercises to help you learn there method and will come in handy the rest of your student career. Have Fun, and Hustle!!!

What a compelling read..... I was afraid to put the book down for fear I would miss something! I think this novel really gets you thinking about what could REALLY be going on in the world. GREAT work!

The author of this book, a former Air Force officer, has done a good job of providing a glimpse into the day-to-day affairs of the USAF's Air Combat Command. It offers large, colorful photos on each page, highlighting the air operations and aircraft that make up the world's best Air Force. It has sections on all types of aircraft in the inventory, from trainer to bomber to cargo, and the photos are almost all unique and unpublished. this book shows well the beauty that comes from the lethality that is the Air Combat Command.
