Recommended by Reader's Digest
I saw this book in the Reader's Digest this month and ordered it since I travel a lot for business and occasionally to take a vacation. When I got it, I was like "Wow this book is amazing!" I didn't know about JohnnyJet before, but now I can definitely say Reader's Digest picked a winner. What makes this book so great is that it covers everything travel and other stuff I would never have known about without referring to it. This thick book reviews over 3,000 travel Web sites, and not just any sites, but the ones you really need as a traveler. I also found it very useful because it virtually covers every country that you'd ever want to see, has information on saving when traveling domestically or internationally, some very helpful tips that I never even thought of, and more than just where to find money saving travel bargains, but some strategies that I found helpful when bidding and researching the different travel providers. Overall I believe any traveler will like this book, that covers it all. It's something that I'd highly recommend getting, even if you travel a few times out of the year.

This book is awesome!
UPDATE TO MY EARLIER REVIEW!! The reader who gave this book one star and a bad review must not have even looked at this book at all. This book is meant as a companion to the Johnnyjet.com website and yes you need a computer to use this book - duh!! Lastly - there are a number of categories that have no links because the book would have been 1000 pages long if all of the categories had links under them, those categories can be found on Johnnjet.com and by using the Jet Codes, you will find the links you are looking for.
Original review:
This is a great book - the information is invaluable and can be used for years to come. This book will be my constant companion as I research every vacation that I take! You will not have to make endless searches anymore to find the critical travel information that you need, it's now right at your finger tips. If you buy this book, you will not be disaapointed. Enjoy!

The Most Excellent Travel Resource!
This super book has everything you need to travel anywhere. Beyond basic air travel, it provides detailed information on road trips, boating trips from rafting and canoeing to yachting and cruising, camping, and much more. Even exotic stuff like cathedrals and castles, factory tours, and crop circles are in it, too. If it's travel the JohnnyJet book has it for you. This is one book that any experienced traveler or beginning traveler will love.

Grilling: Where There's Smoke There's Flavor
What a fun cookbook! Every recipe is luciously photographed. There's a wide range of flavors in the recipes covered -- but there's nothing difficult to make or containing obscure or expensive ingredients. I've been working my way through the recipes since I got the book and haven't hit a loser yet. Would make a great housegift.

Grilling : Where There's Smoke There's Flavor
It is the first book that my mom is so inspired to cook. The pictures are gorgeous and the instructions are pretty simple and easy.

Great Grilling Book!
This is a truly terrific cookbook, specifically about grilling. Excellent recipes, instructions, photographs.

Whatever Happened to Justice? (An "Uncle Eric" Book)

Generic Spirituality in Real Life
Maybury cuts to the heart of what all well-intentioned religions and philosophies have in common with his 17 words: "Do all that you agree to do, and do not encroach upon other persons or their property." I have taught this as a mini-ethics course at my high school- one made up of over 60 ethnicities and nationalities- and all students understand it. Given the recent Florida election law war ,this book serves as a timely reminder that ultimately law must be found not in overly detailed law books, but in people's hearts. This book was recommended to me by author Harold Klemp (Autobiography of a Modern Prophet) who finds these 2 principles useful as an aid to spiritual living. So do I!

Best high-school primer of libertarian ideas about law
This easy-to-read book makes libertarian ideas accessible to any interested high-school or even junior high student. The concepts are simple, but not simplified. Buy it for your kid, or for the neighbor's kid, or for yourself. See other "Uncle Eric" books.

The cleanest thinking I have ever seen.
This is one of the very best books I have ever read, one of those that have actually shaped my thinking and that of many others! A book to be put in the not to be missed category! It deals with common law and politics and economy, all unavoidable aspects of our daily life, but most of all it deals with the hidden aspects of two laws, the ramifications of which politicians do not want us to know so we stay under their power. His thinking is so razor edged, one can only be thankful for having been woken from ones slumber.

This Book Is GREAT!!!
I love this book! It is so real and life like! The drawings and all the actual entrys from his diary. I sent this book to a friend who lives in africa and HE LOVED IT!

I'd give it six stars if I could!
I read this book as a young adult. It was like turning back the clock one hundred and fifty years, but unlike a lot of history books, it has no political, social or moral agenda. Indeed, it paints a luminous picture of rural life, while giving more useful information in the text of the diary and in the annotated pen-and-ink illustrations than most "country living" manuals. Check out Eric Sloane's barn books as well - more masterful work!

Excellent! I loved the intriguing drawings.
This is an excellent book for kids and adults. The book is fully illustrated with drawings that detail how things were built and how they worked. They capture kid's attention better than "Where's Waldo?", but unlike that meaningless book, there's a lot to be learned from this little gem! Lance Greenlee

The Job

Author: Eric T. Whitfield

AWESOME BOOK
The Job is a very empowering book. It illustrates the significance of relationships changing through death, not ending.

Silent but deep
"The job" by Eric Whitfield, is a heart warming journey, through Eric's eyes, about the great love between a child and his Grandfather.
If you have ever lost anyone you love......you must read this book! It brings hope, and serenity to your soul and the peace of knowing that loved ones that have left us, are really never to far away. Good job, Eric!

Spiritual
Eric's story had an immensely effective insight into his past, present, and future. The moment I picked up the book and started reading I did not put it down until I was finished.
This very spiritual and poignant story had an ironic parallel to my own relationship with my grandfather and father who have since passed on but will be remembered dearly.
This book has helped me remember them in more ways than one.
Read it and be inspired...

It's about hope!
I found this book again while cleaning my daughter's room; I found it years ago and it is such a wonderful and uplifting story. Perhaps it was more than serendipity that I found it again, for it seemed the perfect message to send to an adult friend who needed some TLC -- for its main message, to my mind, is one of hope, and of believing in the power of love.

Beautiful pictures, beautiful story
This story is one of the true classics of children's literature, even though it is an unkown. I collect children's books, and this is one of my all - time favorites. If you want a story with substance, meaning, and still a wonderful story - buy this one. The illustrations are outstanding, also. Have a kleenex handy, though.

Beautiful
This is one of the most beautiful books that I have ever read. It is love. Love that is indeed essential. Like water for chocolate type of love. Whenever I read this book it amazes me how as to how real the author personified the characters.

This story not only clarifies the necessity to of the need for love but it brings it forth with such astounding boldness. The mountain in its isolation literally almost gives up in the midst of its quest for companionship.

This book is not only a book for children -- it is can also be a literary piece for adults. In the quest for the mountain's security; the bird leaves behind generation upon generation of offspring to provide the mountain with a sense of love and security for many, many, many years to come.

Beautiful -- is a mere word that describes an element of something that is precious, astounding, and good. I cannot find the perfect word for this book. It seems to me that beautiful is hardly enough.

Inspirational! True Love and Romance are not dead!
True love does exist. But in this book, Eric and Leslie point to the author of true love, Jesus Christ, as the source of their incredible love story. Honest and open in its display of how God moved in their lives to bring them a relationship based upon love of the deepest kind, Eric and Leslie reveal the joy, pain and ultimate satisfaction of searching for God's will in their lives above their personal desires. You'll laugh, you'll weep and you'll cheer as you see that true love is not dead!

Wow!
Eric and Leslie do it again. Somehow they can use their love story over and over again and it brings home totally different points. After reading this book I fell more in love with Jesus than ever before. I actually have realized the importance of it. When you are so involved with Him, you feel the need for no one else, but also, if a future spouse is waiting for you, you want him to be like Jesus, so naturally its only logical to conclude that he is looking for the same. This book is just phenomenal, it also includes song lyrics that Eric and Leslie have written at the ends of chapters from their CD "Heavenly Perspective." The CD is a must have!! It's their best one! Their songs are like personal prayers put to music. There is nothing proud about them; they give God every ounce of credit for everything in their lives. This book, like all their others, is not a guide to successful dating or anything of the sort, just their beautiful story.

Beautifully Told With A Strong Message
WHEN DREAMS COME TRUE is the autobiographical story of Eric and Leslie Ludy, authors of WHEN GOD WRITES YOUR LOVE STORY. If you read WGWYLS then you got a taste of what the Ludy's tale was like. It's expanded upon greatly here and it turns out that their story is worth reading in its entirety.

WHEN DREAMS COME TRUE follows the lives of Eric and Leslie from childhood through marriage, in first-person point of view but from both of their perspectives. What the Ludy's are trying to accomplish in relating their past is to keep alive the dream of a real, pure love story for those who might think it is all a myth. Eric and Leslie were raised in the church but both made some bad relationship choices in their teen years. Leslie relates that because of her mistakes she thought the dream of finding a Godly mate (her "knight") was no longer possible. But, of course, there's a happy ending. Because both of them got serious with the Lord and began to seek after Him wholly God began to move in their lives. Individually they had made the choice to give Him total control of everything, including their love life. And that's where things began to look up.

WHEN DREAMS COME TRUE, then, is a powerful testimony to what can happen if you put God first in your life -- your whole life. The Ludy's are a powerful example of just how much more beautiful one's own personal love story can be when it's told by the Maker Himself, rather than in our own feeble ways. Their philosophy on this subject is better related in WHEN GOD WRITES YOUR LOVE STORY (I recommend picking it up), but there's something fascinating and lovely about reading through their whole experience and seeing the hand of God upon their lives. Not only was I touched by the read but inspired in my walk as well -- to strive harder for the things which they did in theirs.

If you're desiring to let the Lord show you a better way in your relationships, or if you are in a place where you feel like it's no longer possible for something this good to happen for you then this is a book you need to read. Everyone will have a different story, but I believe that things ultimately can be just as amazing as they were for the Ludy's if we let the same Author take control of ours. For the Christian single, you can't do much better than the Ludy's books. FIVE STARS.

A wonderful complement to corporate strategic thinking....
Eric Marks has offered us a rich framework of information-age paradigms to complement the secular world of strategic thinking.

A wonderful parallel is drawn between the organic nature of the corporation and the darwinian theory of survival. The author demonstrates that while thinking might be organic or hollistic, the IT organization lacks woefully behind due to its structure and the lack of generative planning that accompanies regular business chaos.

The book makes a conscious effort to stop at theory and frameworks, hopefully to be continued with a plan to action and tools for the implementation in subsequent publications.

A Must-Read Corporate IT Primer
I found "Business Darwinism" to be a no-nonsense, intelligently written evolution of information. The reading experience is educating, and at the same time, entertaining. It's a compendium of fascinating, and important events that shaped our current day information systems models. The Darwin, and other evolution analogies that the author selected, as well as the attention-grabbing timelines and events makes for an interesting read. He very nicely positions the IT importance intelligently at the center of the corporate model without overstated importance, and supports it with well-built logic as to why it works. The appeal of the book is that anyone, hanging on to any position on the corporate flagpole will find it both interesting and educational, as it helps him or her understand the core value of information at the business level, without all the technogibberish.

Outstanding profiling and research on serial killers!
Dr. Hickey's hard work is proven in this book. The serial profiling that he has done has made this book outstanding reference material. I have had the good fortune of meeting this man and I think anyone who has anything to do with any type of law work should read this.

A Must Read for Anyone Interested in Serial Murder!
This book is the first book I always consult when beginning a new research project on serial murder. Hickey has done an excellent job evaluating previous research as well as conducting his own study. He covers a wide range of topics that are valuable to students and professionals. I highly recommend this book and look forward to Hickey's future works!

Great book on Serial Murder
This book should be your first reference if you would like to understand the "reality" of serial murder. Cutting through the sensationalism this crime attracts, Dr. Hickey provides an in-depth, research-based analysis of almost 400 serial murderers and their crimes. He also offers the reader insight into the numerous theories (biological, psychological, sociological, etc.) that help to explain this phenomenon, including his own Trauma-Control Model. Of special interest in this 3rd edition of the book is Dr. Hickey's coverage of the phenomenon as a global problem, including a study of 300 Foriegn serial murderers.

WAY TOO MUCH INFO.
This is one of the best bathroom reads I have seen in a long time. ...Stuff like the average thickness of every plate of every cruiser in the Japanese Imperial Navy makes this something that you just cannot put down.

It is the Mother of All Reference Books on Japanese Cruisers. There is nothing to compare with it.

It is quite simply stupendous and will garner more than few stares from inquisitive guests.

Marvelous! A work of art.
I purchased this book without realizing that it was 850+ pages, a full 7.5 lbs, jam packed with everything anyone could ever want to know about these vessels. I have read a lot of books claiming to be a thorough histories of a county's vessels of a given type and I can honestly say, there isn't even a book this detailed in the U.S. about the U.S.Navy's Cruisers! I cannot imagine how long this information must have taken to collect. For the current price it is a bargain. Japanese cruisers were not at the top of my list as far as interests go, and I loved it.
I highly recommend this book, not only as good reading, but as an example to be followed by any would be author that would like to write books on American, British, or German warship types.
Simply outstanding! If these authors collaberate on another work, I'm buying without waiting for reviews.

One of the most indispensible resources on the IJN
This book is one of the best English language works on a specific subject, that of the cruisers of the Japanese Navy during World War 2. During the early phases of World War 2, Japanese cruisers posted an impressive combat record. The authors are experts on the IJN and many of the sources are unavailable outside Japan

For the modeler and historian, all aspects of Japanese heavy and light cruisers are illustrated, including armament, profile drawings, and operational histories. Some of the successes and failures of Japanese design, including the Takao class, possibly the most successful Japanese heavy cruisers to the Mogaim class, which attempted to place a heavy armament on a lightly constructed hull and were considerably overweight and later rebuilt, are explained in great detail

The profile drawings are well detailed, albeit extremely small; however they are useful in showing the arrangements of the ships. For the modeler and naval historian, this is a must book. With the recent proliferation of better detailed IJN cruiser models, this book is needed in any naval library.
