It's ok I guess
This is ok, but I did not find it keeping me on the edge nor I was breathless when I finished it. The truely best SV thrillers I've read are Killer at sea and stranger in the house, & Killer on board

Great one in the series.
This is a good addition to the SVU thriller books. Two guys hold Jessica, her friends and other customers at gun point in a restaurant. But soon, Jessica discovers that one of the criminals is from her school, and she tries to convince him to do the right thing.

The best thriller of all-time!
Wow! I read this book in two hours I could not put it down! Usually I hate the thrillers because they never tie in with the real books but this one totally changed my opinion on that. DEFINITELY read this book and just a hint- the guy on the cover is NOT Sam!

Secrets are not secrets in Sweet Valley!
In a little town (like Sweet Valley) people know what's going on with there and what's going on with here. They know each other's past and secrets. So, secrets are not secrets in Sweet Valley! In this book, Jessica wants to be the beautiful queen of the Sweet Valley Fall Dance. If she wins the competition, Bruce Patman will be in Jessica's arms. But Enid Rollins (Elizabeth Wakefield's best friend) is the only person standing in Jessica's way. When Jessica finds out a terrible secret of Enid's past, Jessica is sure that she will be the queen of the Fall Dance. Only Elizabeth can help Enid, but can she stop Jessica?

Liz should start considering Enid's friendship...
I didn't like the way Enid reacted to Ronnie's confrontation. I mean, why did she accuse Liz? If she 'valued' Liz's friensdship and trusted her, then she'd take Liz's word for it. If I was Liz I would have made Enid grovel for my forgiveness. Liz is too soft. She's also too dumb - I mean, it was sooo obvious that Jess wanted to be voted Prom Queen. Jess can be such a witch - it's great! I'd definitely want her as a best friend in High School.

Enid is my favorite character
This book was great! It revieals a side of one of the characters that is shocking. I feel bad for Enid though, Jessica had no right too do what she did, and makeing Elizabeth look like a lier was cruel. All I can say is some sister. If you can you should watch the tv show episode that is like this story, it's not 100% the same but it really good.

Um, all these reviews are for the wrong book!
Have you noticed something strange here? All the previous reviews on this page are for another book and another author, just the same title. This review is for Sweet Valley Twins #17, "Boys Against Girls". I hope that clears up some confusion. I Really liked this book when I was in the age group; it played out a lot of frustrations I had with my brothers! The twin's class has a new teacher who always taught boys before. He makes some unwelcome changes and the girls go on the warpath to prove they are just as good as the boys.
By the way, is there a place where I can review the reviews?

Boys Against Girls
I think this is a pretty good book overall. I doubt adults would like it, but kids my age would. This is a book for both, boys and girls. I liked how the book was written because there were three boys in a family and three girls in a family that lived by each other. I liked how the author put in both sexes so it's just not a boy book or just a girl book.
In a small town, there lived two certain families, the Hatford and the Malloy family. The Hatford family consists of three boys, the Malloy family consists of three girls.
The two families were neighbors and they loved to these each other, so the Hatford boys thought they had a great idea by going to tell the girls that the animal, the Abaguchie, exsisted and was spotted close where they live. The Malloy girls believed the guys, as the Hatford boys just keep on playing along with them like the animal really exsisted and it was close to their house.
(...)
Overall, I would say this book was pretty well written for a kid my age.

Boys Against Girls the book you should read!!!
I read Boys Against Girls for a book report. It is the best book I have read. Wally and his brothers think they are smarer than the girls when they built an Abaguchie( the monster in the town in the book) trap. But that night they herd the bell that they connected to the trap. Did they catch the Abaguchie. You should read to find out. I really enjoyed this book. There are alot of things adults wold laugh at. If you want a funny book, this one will keep you laughing for hours. Please read this book. If you think it dosen't look good from the cover. you should use the saying " Never Judge a book by a cover." I really enjoyed it and you will too. Read Boys Against Girls.

What is going on with Danny??
He's such a hypocrite - he goes around preaching about morals and ethics ('Cruise' trilogy) and yet, here he is - not even visiting his own girlfriend in hospital! Basically, Izzy gets sick and tired of being treated like a kid by Danny (who can blame her) so she decides to let loose at a Sigma party. Unfortunately, she picks the wrong guy to hang out with and ends up smoking a cigarette laced with PCP (a drug which makes you freak out). This drives her to jump off the balcony of the house and poor Izzy ends up with a broken arm and is in danger of ending up in a coma or even worse - having permanent brain damage. Meanwhile, Jess is getting tired of Nick - instead of the thrills and spills she experienced with him when she first met him - he's committed the ultimate sin (in Jess's eyes) and has decided to get a degree in Law. This means a lot of trips to the library for Jessie. Unfortunately, Jess being Jess uses her guy-radar to hunt for more hunks and immediately spots a greasy (my opinion) loser called Clay DiPalma (who looks like Adonis in Jess's eyes). Little does Jess know that Clay is a drug dealer but, luckily before she can get to 'know him better' Nick shows up and knocks the guy out (three cheers for Nick). The biggest surprise of this book is the fact that Tom has done the dirty with dastardly Dana. Unfortunately, Liz being the snoop that she is, finds a box of condoms under Tom's bed and realises that there are seven(!) missing - presumably used. Not only does this tell us that Tommy-boy sure had a wild time with Dana it also tells us that he's not as trustworthy as we all thought so. Liz confronts him after many pages of deliberation and fretting - only for Tom to laugh in her face and deny it all. Poor Liz - little does she know is that Tom is actually LYING to her - the little rat! Watch out for the next couple of books in this series!

jealousy and playing with fire
I really thought that this book was sad and exciting.
Now that Nick Fox has turned from Cop Hottie to Campus Book Worm Jessica has her eye on a sexy and dangerous new guy Clay Dipalma (little does she know that he is a drug dealer), but luckily Clay and Jessicas flirting doesn't go far cause Nick shows up and punches the leaving day lights out of Clay (thank god) Anyway Clay deserved it! No one flirts with Nick Fox's Girlfriend!
And Jessica was way out of line by flirting with him I MEAN SHE HAS A BOYFRIEND Nick Fox (remember).
Danny is getting reall possesive i mean he can't even stand it when Izzy is JUST talking to a guy, he thinks shes flirting with him. So Izzy decides to play with fire and she loses! she Decides to Flirt with a guy at a fraternity party but she chooses the wrong guy! Clay Dipalma (trouble) He gives her a ciggarette lined with pcp( drug thaty makes you go crazy) and she smokes it goes crazy jumps of a balcony and ends up in hospital with the chance of permanent brain damage! poor Izzy, but Danny's possesiveness is to blame!
To find out more read these books Sneaking In, The price of Love, Love me Always, Dont Let Go and You're Not My Sister.

ThIs BoOk Is So GoOd!!!
I loved this book!! It was just really good..Thats all there is to it. It is such a great sstory line. Thank you. Luv Ya PPL

"Finally, it's the day for their big adventure!"
Well, technically, it's just Elizabeth Wakefield's big adventure, but Liz, her twin sister Jessica, and their entire sixth-grade class get to visit Enchanted Forest for the day. While there, Elizabeth stumbles into a magical realm as she searches for her missing sister in Fairy Tale Land, starting with King Abelard's Castle. In this medieval kingdom, Liz befriends and helps Princess Charity, whose family has been captured by the evil King Nestor, who also captured Jessica. He later passes Jess off, though, to the Queen of Drudgery and her sorceress ally, Grisolda; both of whom keep her as a slave.

Liz follows her sister's trail, meeting various talking animals (Allegra, a mouse; and Sidney the sea serpent), visiting an underwater Atlantis, and even running into popular Sweet Valley rock star, Johnny Buck. Yet this fantasy adventure wouldn't be complete without a few other literary/fairy tale characters thrown in, like Tom Sawyer, Rapunzel, Thumbelina, Hansel and Gretel, Peter Pan, and even the white rabbit from "Alice in Wonderland" (which this book mimics somewhat in the "tripping", out-of-body sense).

"The Class Trip" (the first Super Edition in the Sweet Valley Twins series) is one of my favorite guilty pleasures from childhood. Even my younger sister, who doesn't like Sweet Valley books at all, reread this one just as many times as I did when were kids. Ideal for preteen girls and SV fans.

Good ol' Francine Pascal
I must've read this book about a million times! I love the way she puts so much imagination into it! The whole thing with Tom Sawyer is really good. I've grown out of Sweet Valley Twins now, but I probably read almost all of them twice! And this was one of my favorites.

Way worth it!
This is a wonderful story especially for imaginative children. When Elizabeth hits her head at a fun park, she is tossed into a weird fantasy world. The back cover of this book in fact describes it as an AliceinWonderland type adventure.Elizabeth meets many fairytale characters, some lovely, some evil.So if you or your child likes Enid-Blyton-type,magical adventurers, you cannot miss this one.One that is even better is The magic christmas(also in this series).

It was a very moving and sad book.
I have only read several books from this series and I find that Francis Pascal is a very good writer. I want to read more and more of the books on Sweet Valley University because I find them very intersting. This book I wanted to read from the moment I saw it, it caught my eye from it's title "Deadly attraction" I knew that it was going to be a great book, and it was!

GREAT, BUT SO TRAGIC
I cried my eyes out when I finished reading this book! It was so sad that Jess lost one of true loves yet again! This ranks alongside a few other SVU books as one of the best written.

One Of The Best SVU Books
Well I have about 145 Sweet Valley Books and I've read all of them.I prefer SVH series but I loved this book form this series. It takes your breath away and makes u want to read more and more. The scandal part is good but not that great altough Jessica's romance is perfect. The ending is so sad and this book is a once in a lifetime!

Downstairs, Upstairs
Max makes his move in this installment of the series...but will it lead anywhere? Vanessa continues on her quest, but is unsuccessful...Lavinia parades her wedding dress & extraordinary veil, to Liz's dismay, and everyone awakes the next day to find the veil slashed and ruined! Elizabeth is accused, but will someone save her before she is deported? The superficial sister Sarah has her sights set on another dog, classmate William. The book moves slower than previous books.

GOOD, but a bit slow
Ok, first of all I would like to say that this book was just a bit like the others so far. Where Vanessa is still continuing looking for proof that she is actually the earl's daughter, while Elizabeth & Max still has eyes for eachother never wanting to look away from one another, and Sarah who is still having little puppy loves, though she is no longing with Nick whom she found out what his REAL personality realy is like. She now has eyes on William,a boy that also attends her school. The only realy big event that happened in here was where Max could no longer take it and had the biggest urge to kiss Elizabeth. She knew it was wrong herself to wanna do the same, but in the end she gave in. They had the most passionate, dreamy kiss. But it cut short when they heard an angry voice coming near which was Lavinia's, the fincee of Max. So this was a good book but just a bit slow. Hopefully it will speed up a bit.

Cool Series
I really like this Elizabeth series. I read the regular Sweet Valley High for a long time, then the spin offs Senior Year and Sweet Valley Junior High. I started reading this series and now I am hooked. In one day I bought #3,4,5,6. I'm pretty sure that this is #4.

The story revolves around Elizabeth Wakefield who moved to London after a big fight with her twin sister Jessica and her parents. Elizabeths hopes of attending the University of London on the full scholarship were dashed when she learned that she had not responded to the deadline on time. By chance Elizabeth is hired as a scullery maid for the Earl of Pennington and falls
in love with his son Max. But Max is getting married to the horrible Lavinia in two months, and as a royal he would never be allowed to date a commoner, Elizabeth. The books just follow each other as this storyline keeps going.

Really entertaining books for light reading, I recommend them to girls ages 13-16.

Conner and Liz or Conner and Alanna?
Liz annoys me in this book. Throughout the book she is convinced that Conner still has feelings for her, but at the end when Conner goes after Alanna Liz goes home and realizes that she and Conner do not make a good couple. Please! She's probably only thinking this because Conner just ditched her for Alanna. If he hadn't done that she would have been all over him, but I don't exactly blame her ;) However, I did like the parts in the book where Todd and Conner both seemed a little jealous that Liz was with Jeff.

The Aaron/Melissa plot is really good. Also, I laughed at the name of the band Alanna and her mother went to see, "Boy Toy". Is that a real boy band?

I rate this book four stars only because I didn't care too much for the Jeremy/Trent plot. That was just boring.

Make up your mind, Elizabeth!
Elizabeth is together with her new boyfriend Jeff and happy with him (am I the only person who thinks Liz and Jeff are perfect for each other?!) when Conner and Alanna break up. Elizabeth is Conner's friend so she spends some time with him and realizes she still has feelings for him. She is torn between Jeff and Conner and spends the whole book trying to make up her mind. An interesting angle is that Jeff saw what was going on. The subplot was Trent and Jeremy making up from all the trouble caused in the book Troublemaker. I loved this book!

He's Back
This book was one of the best books in a long time. I read it in like a hour. Here's what happens:

Elizabeth becomes friends with Conner. She starts to think that she still may have feelings for him. Conner, though only thinks of Elizabeth as a friend. When Elizabeth is over at Conner's house Alanna comes over to apologize to Conner and sees Elizabeth. She gets mad and runs away. Conner, of course, runs after her and he cant catch up with her. I think he should have left her. I was hoping that Conner and Liz would get back together. I hate Alanna. She doesnt deserve him.

Alanna's mom tries to start spending time with alanna so she takes her shopping, a day spa, and a really lame boy band concert. She relizes that conner is the best thing she has so she goes over to his house to tell hime that. when she goes over there she sees liz at his house and freaks out.

Jeremy starts missing his best friend. Trent tries to apologize to Jeremy but every time Jeremy sees Trent he gets mad all over again so he wont forgive him. Later Trent hurts his foot and they make-up!

I hope i didnt give away to much!!! I really like this book and recomend this book and the whole svhsy series!

OVERALL A GOOD BOOK, THOUGH ICOULD USE A little WORK
overall i thought im so outta here was really good. however i think it could have focused a bit more on something aside from the twins' fight. that was the only thing that it talked about. i think it could have mentioned lacy, kristen, and damon some more though. if you are looking for a summery continue to read; the painters are going to paint both jess and liz's rooms, and the twins are going to have to move to the couch for an entire week. jessica at first didnt like it, but the more she thought about it the more she liked the idea of major twin bonding. she thought elizabeth was thinking the same thing. however, liz's first thought was -anna's house. jessica thought that liz didnt want to be with her and so she got mad, but didnt tell elizabeth why. liz wondered why jessica was being so mean, and got mad herself. they take their problem way to far and start blaming their friends, and accusing them of taking the other's side. how will they stop? thats for you to find out...

i hope this helped. i reccomend it for all sweet vally fans!

This was by far the sweetest book ever!
This book was very sweet. I think this book is great for every age. This book revolves around a giant dramatic fight between Elizabeth and Jessica. It was such a big fight, that they didn't even talk to each other at all. Though this is a great book, and i mean it, i think it's only fun to read once, so maybe buying it here isn't a very good idea, and you should get it from the library, but i'm definetly reccomending this book to all readers. It is by far the coolest and sweetest book ever. I hope this review is really helpful to you! ...(I'm sure i've read every Sweet Valley book alive!)

Great Book!
WOW! I love this book! Liz and Jess have a huge fight, but inthe end, they finally get back together. It's soooo sweet, it makesyou want to be a twin. Well, here it goes. people are coming topaint the wakefields house, and the twins will have to sleep on thecouch for a WEEK! Jessica is thinking "Oh Finally! Here is sometime for Twin Bonding!" and Elizabeth just blurts out and says"I'm gonna call anna and see if she will let me stay @ her house4 a week. Jess is furious but doesn't tell liz that she is. She justacts all mean, and liz has NO CLUE WHY! but of course in the end theyget back together, and become bff s again. Also in this one, i don'teven think that they MENTION lacy frells! they may mention her ONCEbut that's all. I hope that this review was helpful to u!...
