Major & Important work of Jewish philosophy
R. Novak attempts to retreive a number of critical Jewish philosophic and religious notions in this work: Choseness, revealation, divinely imposed obligation. He works against the background of Spinoza's pantheism and critical approach. He is strongest in pointing out the weakness of the enlightenment arguements, but nonetheless makes a powerful case for re-intrepeting in contemporary terms traditionalist arguments. A necessary book for any serious student of the modern Jewish philosophic condition.

Elmer Blunts Open House
My Two year old Daughter loves this book. She is an animal lover and there are many animals in this book. She has us read it to her 5 or 6 times a day. The story is funny and the illustrations are great.

Excellent Information!
This book is filled with extremely useful info for anyone who is pregnant or has just given birth. Unfortunately, the book is now out of print, but I found out it can still be ordered directly from the author at JaniceNovak.com. I found the exercises to be extremely helpful and the tips on eliminating back discomfort as well as other common pre and post problems to be really useful. There is also a chapter on nutrition as well as one on helpful hints for everything from breasfeeding, bathing your baby, cribs and carseats for once your baby is born. I think I used this book everyday during my pregnancy as well as up to 6 months postpartum. Thank you, Janice.

What does anything mean?
If you are interested in considering meaning, the lack of meaning, what makes something meaningful or not, self-identity, the nature of reality and other trivial topics like these, this is a wonderful book and a small one, that will none-the-less take much time to read because of its density. By "density" I don't mean Novak is hard to understand... exactly the opposite. Many of his insights are so filled with meaning and implication that I, for one, can go but a few pages at a time.... writing notes all the while. Highly recommended, if you are a "thinker".

A wonderful book!
I really liked this. Lots of color reproductions of O'Keeffe's paintings, including several "fold-out" double pages. Covers her early mid and late periods. This is also a book about the museum devoted to her in New Mexico, The size of the book is nice too. A bit smaller than "coffee-table" huge dimension. A book you can browse through. Can be an introduction to Georgia O'Keeffe's art and life for somebody just learning about her, or can be extra fun for a real O'Keeffe fan.

The Glow-In-The-Dark Book of Human Skeletons
An absolute find! All my kids love it and are in awe when the lights go out. It glows brightly and amazingly lasts for awhile. The glow-in-the-dark parts are even textured, so you can "feel" the bones in this beautifully illustrated book. Reading this book would be a big treat for any kid.

An Excellent Resource.
I found this informative, well organized and cogently written. A Table of Citations documents all sources cited or quoted, and each chapter ends with a summary of key points covered which I found helpful. The authors do a good job of presenting the information in a balanced and objective manner. A good resource for anyone wanting to better understand the legal issues and academic landscape surrounding the provision of accommodations to students with LD or ADHD.

A valuable asset
This book is a valuable reference for RNs, LVNs and nursing students. I first became aquainted with Ingall's and Salerno's "Maternity And Child Health Nursing" as an LVN student, I am now an RN in a busy perinatal unit and still refer to it often. It contains virtually all the information needed to come to a basic understanding of this complex topic.

Innocence, a loss thereof, and Novaks best work yet...
Innocence, the latest novel by author Karen Novak, is incredible. But even incredible fails to fully describe the story she has so skillfully woven into these pages. Using already well-formed characters from her previous novels, as well as other references to her acclaimed Five Mile House and Ordinary Monsters (and a cute satire on American reality TV), she tells the tale of a kidnapping in a small town with a past full of dark secrets. Time bends, perceptions change, innocence is lost.
This is no mere follow-up to Five Mile. This book goes above and beyond what Novak originally accomplished to surpass all expectations.
Innocence is an incredible book, the next and best (to date) work of Karen Novak, and if you miss out on it, you may regret it for the rest of your life.

Everybody in my family read this book and although I am still apprehensive the majority of my questions have been answered. David Novak - the author of the book - writes in a way that makes it clear he knows what he is talking about. I highly recommend this book. I also highly recommend speaking with David (I was surprised by how available he was). As strange as it sounds speaking to somebody who has been there has made all the difference for me and my family.
