A Voyage on the Sea of Imagination
This is a gentle, captivating book, about a boy and his friendship with his busy mother. When Alexander's mother makes time for him, he invites her on a voyage into his imagination on a ship built out of pushed-together furniture. Their journey, the power of play, and the way shared imagination brings them closer, resonate with all those times my children and I have scraped together an adventure out of this-and-that and storytelling and laughter. We each identify with the characters in this book -- I with the busy mother, my children with Alexander. In many ways, it feels like 'our' story, conveyed with care and subtlety that make the book one to read over and over again.

Great Nonfiction KickOff for Beginning Readers
I am so impressed with this series. I hope my kids begin a lifelong love of nonfiction with stories like Amelia Earhart. Crisply written, with just the right amount of detail and TERRIFIC photos which capture the imagination. It's hard to fight the Junie B. Jones craze, and those books are cute, too, but I want my 1st grader to admire Amelia, too! She thinks Amelia "rocks". Highly recommend for 4-7 years.

If you love something let it go !
This is a great story that has been adapted from the Television series by Katharine Holabird. The story shows how Angelina the mouse finds a lovely pink butterfly that has hurt it leg. The story show how Angelina wants to keep the butterfly as a pet after its leg it healed, but begins to have second thoughts.
Colorful pictures on every page of this book help keep the readers attention, while the story really shows kids that maybe a trapped animal is really better if it is set free. This book shows a good moral lesson for readers of any age.

Aquatic Habitats: Exploring Desktop Ponds
This book is an excellent resource. Everything is laid out in so that it doesn't take a lot of time to do a lesson plan.
The activities are excellent for grades 3 and 4. The practice with observing, recording, and making predictions alone makes this book valuable.
The lessons in life cycles, habitat, and animal adaptations are excellent for any teacher. Easy for teachers who do not have a background in science to teach fresh water ecology.

The Art of Sensitive Parenting
It has helped us from the time our son was just little (2yrs. old) all the way up until now at the age of ten. It continues on into the teen years. Everytime we pick up the book it seems to refer to something we are currently experiencing with our son. It is a very good guidance tool!

great bedtime story for the little ones
I bought this book for my daughter around 6 years ago and hung onto it for her future siblings. Good thing I did, it's one of the first books that my son listened to as opposed to chewing on. He is 19 months and insists on reading this twice a night before he will go to sleep, as well as several times throughout the day. It's a nice and simple little story that gives the reader a chance to do some of the character voices. It's short and to the point, long enough for a little one, but not too long. It's a good size for little hands to grasp, with soothing yet colorful pictures.

Contains good skits and gags for magic clowns and MC's
The skits and gags in this book are workable and funny. It uses mostly props you can make. Some skits are very simple, and others require more complex props. Some are for just a couple of friends others are for large groups. I appreciated the visual quality of the humor and his sense of comedy

It's Okay to Read Easy Books!
After carefully digesting Buddy Reading and having implemented the program for four years, I truly believe that the suggestions and techniques that the authors had to offer helped to develop fluency, intonation, critical thinking, and a love for reading! There are many articles on the benefits of buddy reading and this book offers an excellent guide on how to successfully implement one. There are lessons for the teacher of older buddies as well as lessons for the teacher of the younger buddies. I highly recommend this book!

Can You Say Dinosaur? Now I can!
Simply written for budding paleontologists, this book explains the meaning of dinosaur names (for example, Tyrannosaurus rex means "king of the tyrant lizards"), as well as helps children (OK, and adults) with the pronunciation of these difficult dinosaur names. It poses questions, which are then answered on a child's level, and provides interesting tidbits of information, such as, the Ankylosaurus "was built like an army tank and was probably too tough to chew." Can You Say Dinosaur? is fairly easy to read, suitable for parent-child reading, teacher read aloud, or independent (grade 2+) reading.
