Bruce Lee's One and Three Inch Power Punch

Well Worth a Read
Despite its small size, this book has a wealth of information on one of Bruce Lee's most famous techniques. If you want to learn Bruce Lee's One-Inch Punch, I would wholeheartedly recommend this book.

Classical Wing Chun has a technique called the One-Inch Punch, but don't confuse it with the One-Inch Punch taught in this book. Throughout the book, the technique is refered to as the "Floating Punch" to avoid confusion. While the One-Inch Punch of classical Wing Chun is designed as a type of shocking blow, the Floating Punch is much more of a destructive blast.

In addition to showing the actual technique in depth, the book also covers the physical and mental development that helps maximize the potential of the punch. At around 30 pages, this book may seem rather thin, but every page is absolutely packed with valuable information. Anyone who _reads the instructions_ in this book and _spends some time practicing_ will develop a strong floating punch rather quickly.

At around five bucks, anyone can afford to put this book in their martial arts library.

A Seminal Book, this book changed my wife.
A really execellent read. A small but potent book.Be warned the one inch power punch, once mastered, must be used with sparingly and with discretion. After becoming a master of the science of powerpunch I was assaulted. I utilised the 'one inch' variant upon my attacker, I was severly beaten. However the book has some good pictures of slightly ridiculous behavior AND contains some Secret Bruce Wisdom, from the author who 'actually knew Bruce'. Enjoy.

A great early reader!
I picked this up while on vacation for my 4-year-old daughter. She is quite a good reader at this point, and enjoys reading this book. It is written with easy to read language, but not to the point of being uninteresting for the child. I am especially pleased that the featured character, Dizzy, is female. This is sadly lacking in many children's books. Look for "Wendy Helps Out" for an equally great book.

a great book for Bob the Builder fans
My son and daughter love this book. Filled with easy words and several pictures put into the sentences, it is a great book for early readers. My kids love that instead of just saying bird, there is a picture of a bird, with the word bird under it thrown into the sentence, with several other picture words through it. We give it 5 stars.

like eating pomegranates in a warm rain
wonderful simple poems of such incredible elegance. softer than his later poems, he is as likely to speak of the southwestern desert as of kashmir. his poems are like water, a necessity. i am really glad i searched this little volume of poems out, his ability to say so much in so few words always impresses me.

Beautifully nostalgic, luminous, intelligent.
I cannot forget the feel of these poems; they have taken on a life of their own in my mind. What a beautiful, empathy-filled voice! Ali renders in elegant, modest verse the complexities and, strangely, the beauty of an exilic, postcolonial existence. An arrow through the heart of modern cosmopolitanism.

A Glass family favorite
Now that the translations of R.H. Blythe (a highhanded old poem himself) are out of print it is a delight to find another edition with English, Kanji and romaji pronunciation guides.

Small but contains the universe..
Another treasure from one of the world's greatest-somewhat-unknown poets...more more more is all I can say! To see his translations in his own hand is the greatest thrill, as well as the brief but wonderful interview at the end conducted by the editor and publishers. A true touchstone for living dharma and freedom.

A bank, a bum, and a baseball bat
This is William Marshall at the top of his form, writing once again about the police officers of Yellowthread Street in British Hong Kong. Chief Inspector Pfeiffer, Inspector O'Yee, and Auden and Spencer are challenged this time by a locked room mystery, a mysterious assignment for O'Yee "from Headquarters", and by a congenial set of brothers who are into fantasy fulfillment as psychotherapy. Marshall skilfully weaves the three stories together; all 3 denouements are superbly done.
I can regularly be seen on the D.C. Metro, when reading a Marshall book, with my eyebrows way up my forehead, as Marshall either turns the tension up yet another notch, or describes some of the most bizarre scenes in crime fiction. This time, my facial muscles hurt from the scene with Spencer and the seagulls. Not to be missed!
Marshall is one part Ed McBain's 87th Street police procedurals, one part Janwillem van de Wetering's Gripstra/De Gijr existential police procedures in Holland and elsewhere, and one part Frederick Forsyth, in terms of the suspense involved. With ingredients like that, how can you miss?

Terrific Off-Beat Humor and Whodunnit
If you have not read any of Marshall's Hong Kong Police stories you have missed a real treat. Hard to find, but worth the effort. Makes you want to put Hong Kong back in the hand of the Brits today just to ensure the continuation of these characters. Wow!

The wrath of the Necromancer
Alright! Nothing else which claims to be a Renzor Biographycan even come close to this! In addition to the concert photo's andthe bizzare scribblings of Renzor himself, there is a 1 hour interviewCD where to put it bluntly, Trent lays bare his soul, in a way that only the dark master could be combing his dark genuis, rage, and intellect into a smouldering cauldron of death and despair. A must buy for any NIN fan and even if you aren't buy this, and you will be converted! Peace.

Uncle Duke Is A Riot
Doonesbury is a good comic strip though I am not a fan of Trudeau's political views. That aside, I find Uncle Duke to be the funniest character in the strip. This book is broken down by time periods starting in the 70's when Doonesbury first started. Then the book strictly follows the various Uncle Duke storylines (in time order) all the way through the Persian Gulf War. The book also came with an Uncle Duke action figure which stands proudly on a display shelf in my house.

My Valentine
I bought this adorable book for my 2 year old. Its of course very sweet and has pullout "valentines" that Raggedy Ann has made for all of her friends...some of which are stories, riddles, and even a board game to play (candy hearts and not included). Although its a bit above a 2-yr old's level, my daughter still enjoyed the story and thought that pulling out all of the valentines out was a blast. Raggedy Ann fans (big or small) will certainly not be dissapointed.
