Reassurance - Should I Worry About My Heart Skipping Beats
Peter John Raposa takes us on a adventure on how it feels to sudddenly be out of control of ones body. His anxiety consumes his every thought and daily activities when he first experiences a heart arrythmia (benign skipped beats). I found this book by accident, looking for advice on how to cope with the same condition. PJR conveys his feelings, fears and eventually his acceptance and coping techniques through easy to read pages. Highly recommend this book. Also references other books and nutrition.

A life of an extraordinary man
This is a well-done account of a most important figure in Counter-Reformation history, and anyone interested in that period should read it. It may be that those of us who are of Germanic descent and Catholic owe our Faith to the work he did.

Excellent combinations of basics & updated research
Before this book was published, Wolf & Tauber's book was the only good reference I had. Plummer's new book has a thorough review of basic principles, very well updated parts on current manufacturing equipments (Wolf's book also has extensive coverage in this respect). The best part in my opinion is oxidation & diffusion parts where the authors are one of the leaders in current research. The book not only focuses on the specific details, but also gives an integrated view of the whole CMOS fabrication process, which I enjoyed a lot.

I strongly recommend this book for students who want to learn basics of IC fabrication and also professional engineers who needs a good and well updated reference.

Exceptional counter-argument to all dialectic-based agendas
A fine exploration and description of the perceptions and experience of reading the Wake aloud as a mimetic act which transforms the reader's sensibilities.

delightful story
This book tells the fascinating story of Peter Pan, Tinker Bell and the Darling children and their adventures in Never-Never-Never Land. They fight with pirates and enjoy their freedom. Some of the original illustrations by Alice B. Woodward are included here as well as modern plates. A nice book especially for young readers

The Sunken Kingdom: The Atlantis Mystery Solved
Published in Paperback by Pimlico (1996)
Author: Peter James
Amazon base price: $
Average review score:

Condensed Information with an Air of Mystery
This book, as you may know, is about Atlantis. But it provides a generous amount of information about a variety of related topics which is bound to amaze the reader. This is not really pro-Atlantean, in other words the author doesn't believe that there once existed a super-civilized continent that disappeared into nothing. So, no science-fiction or whizzing hover-cars or much about the story-book Atlantis at all. Instead you get a purely scientific account which can be a bit hard to get used to, but which ends up as an extremely interesting piece of work. Recommended.

This Time Let's Not Eat the Bones: Bill James Without the Numbers
Published in Hardcover by Villard Books (1989)
Authors: Bill James and Peter Gethers
Amazon base price: $22.50
Used price: $52.49
Average review score:

Smart funny writing on baseball players, teams and strategy
As a baseball fan, Bill James speaks his mind entertainingly, and as a student of statistics, he puts evidence where his mouth is, convincingly. This collection brings together excerpts from a number of his earlier books, with the focus on the entertaining and opinionated writing, rather than the statistical analysis. The intelligent baseball fan will find this, like his other books, to be unputdownable reading.
