touching!
This book has touched me well, actually beethoven,... what interest me in this book was that I played piano and I have always like beethoven,.... His music has a deeper feeling that compare to mozart to me,... mozart always has lighter tone in his,... Anyway,...that is why I found this book and the history about his life really touchy and it is correct that this book has information that I have never known about beethoven,... overall, I think it is a great story and I think if you want to know about beethoven this is a great book,... I play and hear his music in a different way now,...

Enlightening!
This book is excellent. Ms. Altman deals only with the facts and does a great job digging in to show why her information is correct. The other aulthors have done a lot of embellishing, but Ms. Altman obviously worked hard to find the truth. It's well worth the money. You'll learn things about this composer that you never knew before. Thank you for bringing a fresh new concept to nonfiction, Gail -- TRUTH!

An intriguing read! 5 STARS!
Texas Treasures is a great book about lost treaure, and adds some history of Texas too. It's an excellent book, and he tells you about where the gold might be located. W.C. Jameson also gives treasure stories about his close calls to where he almost found the treasure. It's organized and a quality print!

Best read in a long time..
Jameson does a great job of making the legends of Texas' buried treasure come alive. His facts and details made me want to grab a shovel and get to work trying to find some of this stuff!! I would recommend this book to anyone interested in learning about Texas or treasure anywhere. Jameson's dry wit made the book enjoyable. I finished it in one night!

Captain's Command
When Gail's father is missing in action in World War 2, everyone in town believes he is dead. But Gail's mother wants Gail and her brother and sister to believe he's alive. Gail's Uncle Ned was blinded in war and has pretty much given up on everything. Captain, Gail's dog, seems to be the only one to get Ned to believe. This is a sad story, but I liked it a lot. You will have to read Captain's Command to find out if Gail's father lives or not, and why Captain's name is in the title.

My Favorite Book Ever!
When Gail finds that her father is missing in action in WWII she's convinced he's still alive. Her Uncle Ned, who was blinded in the war, believes he is dead and is very depressed. He goes out to a creek in a blizzard. It is up to Gail and her golden retriever, Captain, to save him before it is too late! I really liked this book because it kept me on my toes. It was so suspenseful I could hardly put the book down! I would recommend it to anyone who likes historical fiction and action.

Aesthetically Pleasing
Year Round creativity is the goal when purchasing a greeting card book. This one delivers 30 inspired ideas! Christmas, Festival, Good Luck, Romance and Birthday ideas are followed with templates you can photocopy onto thin card. The ideas are literally amazing!

As someone who was seduced into attending a card party a few times, I can tell you the ideas did not come close to the creativity in this book. We were left to figure out our own ideas and while that can be enjoyable, the sheer pride you will feel when you make some of these more intricate designs is superior!

Your friends will enjoy displaying these during the holidays. The Christmas Hologram Bauble, Holly and Berry Card or Golden Bell will brighten up a tree or table.

With today's multicultural society, Susan has included a series of cards designed to celebrate festivals of faith from the Muslim and Jewish calendars, as well as Easter and Kwanzaa. I am especially impressed with the Star of David card you could give on any Jewish festival.

You can find everything you need at your local craft store or online.

Sure to impress if you make the cards
or give this book as a gift.

Can't Put It Down!
I love rubber stamping! "Susan Attenborough" has MANY beautiful ideas I and many others can use too to making beautiful cards. I've read thru it twice and can't wait to go and have the templates sized. She cuts to the chase and I love books like that. I truly enjoy it and brought to work and co-workers loved it! A must on a Christmas list for the paper crafter!

Second part of an important book over Aztecs' civilisation
Here is the last part of Aztecs' History in CHIMALPAHIN's compiling. It's followed by a precious kind of calendar by CHIMALPAHIN himself. A prime material to understand Aztecs' meaning of life. I'm waiting for the 4 other books of this exceptional collection of indigenous testimonies (Please excuse my bad English: I'm an usual French writer)

An important book over Aztecs' civilization
There are many "Codices" about MesoAmerica. This one is presented as a translate of primitive nahuatl compiling of Aztecs' History. An important contribution to Mexican History. The total collection counts 6 books; two are now available.

The Einstein Gold (or God) Age
All the Einstein life is very intersting! For the 20st centuryworld life the 1900-1909 Einstein period is the apex of his scientificcontributions, specially for three papers: those about the Brownian Movement, the Photoelectric Effects and Eletromagnetic Effects when there is a referencial change. All three papers brought to ous news interpretations of those phenomena and revealed the Einstein interpretation capacity of visible and not-visible world. The paper about Photoelectric Effects presented a new quantum views of ligh and material interaction while the Eletromagnetic Effects showed the principles of Special Relativity, a theme that transverse the 20st century and arrive at 21st century without popular technology applications. This book brings a opened, stimulant, and helpful explanations - great lectures - about the principals Einstein ideas. Maybe this book is the first to point closely the life and thinking of a science men.

An extraordinary collection
Readers-

One might question why you might purchase a book such as this. Well the answer is quite simple. Logic. Now when I say logic I don't mean the logic of the words themselves rather the logic that you might read such an impressive work.

Einstien was a genius in his time, a genius yet to be surpassed (in the authority of Science that is). His works are timeless, classic examples of the scientific process and this particular is a well-balanced example.

Written during the years of the 1910s this volume's works depict a dedication to science even through the war in Europe.

A Must Read!

History of a Proud and Unique People
This is an outstanding history of a country and people that deserve to be better understood and appreciated. The Hungarians are not a Slavic, Germanic, or a Latin peoples; their language and heritage are alien to that of their neighbors. In many ways, both historically and culturally, Hungary has been at the crossroads of the events and movements that have shaped the history of Europe. Yet Hungary has also been a forceful shaper and mover itself, its modest current size belying the fact that it was once a potential superpower on the Danube. The history by Miklos Molnar is excellent in every respect and highly recommended.

Hungarian History
This is a complete and comprehensive history of the Hungarian land, people, society, culture and economy from its nebulous origins in the Ural mountains of Russia to the elections of 1988. It was written by a Hungarian born, Latin educated, French speaking, Nazi persecuted Swiss historian. The book tells the story of a once upon a time great nation that went into decline following Ottoman, Austrian and Soviet occupations at the same time preserving its unique language and European culture. The author links Hungary's political decline to its social, economic and cultural deficiencies. The country was under Hapsburg domination for four centuries and achieved its independence only after World War I, after having lost two thirds of its territory and half of its population. Now free of Soviet domination since 1990, Hungary seeks its place in the European Union of nations.

Cookie See! Cookie Do!
This book definitely lives up to the Sesame Street reputation. I found this book in a bookstore when my daughter was 17 months old. She is now 21 months and it is her favorite book. The colors are brilliant, the pictures are large and not busy. They are able to hold her attention. The story is one she can now read to me.
Another great thing about it is the sturdy yet flexible pages. Definitely able to withstand a baby's hands.
Thank you Sesame Street and Random House. Make more PLEASE!

My Daughter's Favorite Book
The sesame street folks have hit the jackpot again! My daughter (one year old) loves this book. She enjoys flipping the pages and seeing cookie see, cookie do! A must have for every parent and child!
