A must for students of the Western Esoteric Traditions
Of all the many esoteric books published throughout the current Magickal Revival, there are none that can match the sheer comprehensive magnitude of David Allen Hulse's two volume The Key of It All, with Book One - The Eastern Mysteries published in 1993, and Book Two - The Western Mysteries published in 1994. These absolutely indispensable books catalogue, distill, and synthesize the true alphabet symbology of every Eastern and Western, Magickal and Mystical Tradition, including the Tarot. While it deals with many foreign languages and alphabets, even the beginning student will find this work easily navigable and accessible, for Hulse takes the reader step by step through the historic symbology of number and letter, transliterating the foreign scripts into English, and provides copious tables and illustrations, as well a very readable commentary with each of the world's 13 great Magickal Languages. If any one work could possibly serve as the catalyst to unify the many World Traditions into one singular Tradition, it would have to be Hulse's The Key of It All. Hulse essentially shows how each of these 13 World Traditions of alphabet and number in fact serve as a Qabalah or Tarot for each of the cultures they once, or still, represent. In many ways this book is a great Thesaurus of the World Traditions, allowing for a comparison of the synonymous metaphors which link them all in form and function. In fact, in Book Two - The Western Mysteries, Hulse offers His A = 1 code for the English Alphabet, along with some of the major Thelemic and Qabalistic proofs of its verity; and yet He wisely leaves the door open for further research into the possibilities of an English Qabalah. He also provides one of the most compelling studies ever undertaken to root out the true order and allocations of the Tarot upon the Tree of Life, and serves as S. L. Mathers greatest champion in revealing how this previously unheralded Master's work has formed the foundation of all subsequent Tarot symbology. His work with Mathers' Golden Dawn attributions, as well as Waite's Tarot symbology truly has no equal in the world of Occult literature.

Very cute
My little girl loves this book! This book features Cookie Monster as he prepares for a dinner party for some of his friends. The story is told in rhyme and it's full of pictures of Sesame Street characters. There are a few "interactive" parts whre Cookie Monster addresses the reader. This is destined to become a quick favorite.

Out of Print? Out of my Mind!
To Whom It May Concern: Buy this book! Or borrow it your literary neighbor, or steal it from the library; anything, just get you hands on it. Out of This World is a comprehensive lexicon of of the life of the infamous St. Mark's in the Bowery Poetry Project. From Ginsberg to Ashberry, from O'Hara to St. Francis, from the down and dirty free verse of Paul Beatty and Jim Carroll to the the luminous prose of Mary Montenegro, this book is finger lickin' good. While it is dissappointing at times not to have more that one or two pieces by each poet, it gives you a scope that few works do. Elegantly edited and sequenced by Anne Waldman, the project's long-time director, Out of This World is a five-pound gem worth dodging library security or the wait for an out of print copy. Dig it.

Pollution Prevention for Chemical Processes is an excellent
The book on Pollution Prevention by Allen and Rosselot is perhaps the best book on the market for chemical and process engineers and professionals as well as chemical engineering students. It has been used at several Universities as the text book for the senior/graduate level course on Pollution Prevention in the Chemical Engineering Department.

The book is well-balanced in its treatment of topics. The first part of the course covers issues regarding the various definitions of the term "pollution prevention", the extent to which data are available from different sources as well the issue of life cycle analysis. The treatment adopted in the book exposes the reader to several "ideologies" and one is amazed by the extent to which the authors have worked hard to collect data from as many sources as has been done by them-- clearly a herculean task.

The second part of the book covers: unit operations and processes and the different aspects of pollution prevention in these operations; primary, secondary and fugitive emissions from industrial and chemical plants. A large number of problems are given and many solutions are provided. Readers who are not familiar with the unit operations and processes will have enough materials for the purpose of self-study.

The last part of the book covers topics that would be of interest to engineers who wish to learn problem-solving skills on topics related to large chemical or industrials, or parts of these plants. The open-ended problems in Chapter 10 are excellent and should be a source of ideas for instructors who wish to assign open-ended problems, as is encouraged by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Teachnology. These problems could stimulate classroom discussions or discussions within student groups.

Overall , the book is a a "must-read" for all engineers and scientists who wish to learn about the heart-and-soul of pollution prevention within industry. The author is an engineering Professor who has used this book and has seen colleagues at other Universities use it with excellent results.

sibley 2003 calendar
This Sibley birds calendar is simply amazing. Each page includes a highly detailed rendering of a bird, along with facts about the bird and the bird's lifestyle. The images are stunning, and the facts will engage children and adults alike. The 2003 calendar is just as engaging and worthwhile as the 2002 calendar, without a doubt.

A calendar like this is educational and attractive. It would make a lovely gift to any bird watcher or birder; it would be an excellent addition to most kitchen walls!

Birdlovers and nature lovers will not go wrong with this Sibley Birds calendar.
