A Pentecostal Must-Read!
I cannot recommend this book highly enough if you are a member of a Pentecostal type church. It gives a lot of information on how to have a revival leading to a real "end-time" victory for your church. Gives hope in these last days to those who may be wavering in their faith. There's even a great prayer on page 103 that I do not recommend you try unless you are -serious- about battling against "princes and principalities". A absolute must have for every true believer.

Superbike reminded me of my childhood daydreams & happiness
This novel stirred up spirit in my stress-worn heart that I had not felt in eons. I forgot how good it was to imagine or focus on hopes and goals. I had lost track of all the happiness in the pile of debt and things to do that never seemed to be done. I had forgotten that this is all a journey and we have an option of running a race, taking the senic route, or flying head on into the horizon.
this book is an inspirational gift to the world of readers
I think every child should be read or encouraged to read Superbike. It is truly a beautiful story filled with a unique humor that makes your heart smile. It is unique in many ways, for example, it's pages contain examples of having hope and doing right. Superbike is filled with childlike imagination adults could get enwrapped in. It is a clever and well written peice, and should be on every child's bookshelf.

Great Catalog
I thought this book was great! The pictures of the objects are beautiful. Where a picture could not be obtained there is usually a detailed sketch of the object. The descriptions give not only insight into use of the archaological object but also surrounding information like similar objects and archeological context. Then the essays descibe the time period and unknown/debated issue of Egyptian Archeology. As a newbie to Egyptian Archaeology I found the book easy to read and felt that things were explained well.

A must for teachers
This book is a must for anyone who teaches. This book provides the teacher so many different approaches to testing. I had taught for four years before ever studying this book (and taking Dr. Payne's great class), but I was amazed at how much there was to know and use on a daily basis. Dr. Payne is a great lecturer and a fantastic writer...I highly recommend this book as a guide for creating a good test and being able to evaluate good and bad points in testing.

Fun, Exciting . . . It's a Book?
This book is fun, interesting, catchy and leaves a big question mark in your head about what will happen next to Bernard Wheel and the Lake Elsinore Boys. This book also reminds you that you can do anything if you believe, or in other words, you can do anything with mind over matter. The book hypnotizes you to read more and more. It is the kind of book you can read over and over according to my son, who is a fifth grader.

From Kliatt, Volume 34 Number 6, November 2000
This informative and entertaining book about recent discoveries surrounding ten types of brain abnormality is the result of collaboration between a Ph.D in cognitive science and the founding editor of Games magazine, Bragdon and Gamon look at topics that will interest most readers (and personally touch many): ADHD alcoholism, autism, dèjá vu, dyslexia, handedness, perfect pitch, photographic memory, seasonal affective disorder, and synesthesia. Sidebars, whimsical illustrations, brain diagrams, reader "tests", and "where to learn more" sections at the end of each chapter all make the book reader friendly and enticing. Although the book is aimed at older readers -especially teachers and parents(e.g., the section on photographic memory contains a visual test entitled, "Is your child and eidetiker?") some middle schoolers will be intrigued by pertinent sections. (This reviewer's 6th-grade son, a lefty, was fascinated by the section on southpaws-although mildly disturbed by the notion that left-handedness is due to an atypical brain condition.) While presenting lots of fun facts, the book also manages to convey a great deal of solid brain research.
