Review by Alice
I found this book very interesting and informative. It has helped me to see how the mind works in sickness and how difficult that life must be. It has helped me to understand that a sick mind has no control and to be patient with people who have mental illness. I think this was a very good book. Alice B.

I found it a gluing read, and would sneak back to it each free moment to unravel what Justin and Antonio had come upon..." Andrew Jackson Polk (age 12): "I can't wait for the sequel."

Samurai based Self-Defense Book has Enduring Appeal
I have been studying Jujitsu for a little over two years. Antoher student recommended I get a copy of a book on Lessons from the Samurai warriors by Fred Neff that is really helpful in getting not only the foundation of Jujitsu, but strategy for its use in a fight. After buying and reading a copy, I was very impressed. I took the book to work to show a friend of mine, who is far more advanced in his knowledge of Japanese fighting arts. He has been studying Japanese martial arts for years and related to me that Fred Neff's book was what originally caught his interest in the Japanese martial arts. I have read and reread Lessons from the Samurai. My practice now includes an increasing number of fighting techniques taught in this practical book. It is a book with enduring appeal.

Math Activities for Young Children: A Resource Guide for Parents and Teachers

Great Parent and Teacher Resource
This book is packed with activities that you can do with your children before they enter kindergarten, and progresses through to money and time skills. I have used this book with my children, aged 4 and 6, and have found it a great resource, requiring materials that are readily available around the house. I imagine it would also be useful for any elementary teacher. The activities are simply written and easy to follow and each is accompanied by an illustration.

Good for a beginning homeschooler for science
This book has very many things to do for science, but we have been homeschooling for 10 years, so there was nothing new in it for us! If you are new to teaching or homeschooling this may be just what you need though. It is very nicely laid out and easy to understand.

this is an extremely erudite political science text
i was privileged to edit bob young's new book and find myself mesmerized by his theory of the "root concensus." i've been trying to de-bunk it ever since -- but cannot. the r.c. holds water, even in today's erratic political climate
