Trapped in the Ashes
The Ashes series has 33 books so far and all are wonderful. Infact you not only will get hooked but waiting for the next is hard. Ben Rains is a super star trying to put the world right after postwar anarchy. His adventures go from the USA to Europe and beyond. He gets in trouble where ever he goes and you feel like you are right beside him. All Americans need to read this series and clean up America. His problem solving would work today. Trapped in the Ashes is set in New York City where mutant cannibals (night people) have taken over and he needs to clean them out and save the few normal people who are hiding within. Great clean adventure.
New York, New York, the city so nice they destroyed it twice
Ben and his rebels are trapped in New York. Khamsin has arrived, along with Sister Voleta, to see to it that Ben Raines breathes no more. With the night People and the other two seemingly having Ben and his people trapped, ben makes a decision that will weigh upon his mind forever - do they lie down and die, or do they do the unthinkable and destroy the great city of New York? A brilliant strategic move helps to make his decision for him, resulting in the most amazing turn of events that will have you reeling! It seems that as soon as Ben's back is against the wall, help comes from the oddest of places. Perhaps the rumors about Ben Raines are true.......

A hard book to put down
When I first picked up this book and started reading it I had a very hard time putting it down. The story was well written, the pace was fast and there was rarely a moment where the story lags. I can only hope that Mr Johnstone will write a sequel to this book and continue the horror.
I have read this book in the orignal and the reprinted forms and I still love the story! My only one complaint is that a good character had to die. One good thing about his death was that it was a honorable one and he died saving a life. (I wish we had more people like this person in real life.)
IF you want to know which one I'm talking about you will have to read the book!! IF you have already read this book you will know who it is I'm talking about a probably will agree with me.
Good luck in finding a copy of this book. It is well worth the time and effort in obtaining a copy of this book.
GREAT HORROR STORY EVERYBODY HATES ROACHES!!
IF you are one of the lucky ones who picked up a copy of this book when it first came out.You have read it quite a few times by now.I can't tell you how many times i have, but every time i find something i missed..This book is well worth looking for. GOOD luck it is hard to find now.lol

Give us your tired, your poor, and please send Ben Raines!
Ben discovers that the stories of destruction were cover-ups so that the Night People could thrive and flourish. However, he has now begun the assault on New York City, the headquarters of the Creepies. However, it would seem that they have bit off more than they can chew this time because the Ninth Order, Khamsin, the new ..., and every other gang and punk have moved to see that ben and his rebels - the only thing between total anarchy and a free America - are destroyed forever!
WHAT ALL LIBERALS DO NOT WANT TO HEAR.
The Rebels and Ben Raines take New York by storm. No price is to great to pay for freedom and they will gladly make the sacrifice. This book is not for the faint hearted. The creepies will gladly pay the ultimate price to kill Ben Raines. Ben is only to happy to give them all of the opportunities the want.

another Ashes series great
all of this series are a tresure for any American who values his country and his beliefs... and not just a "his" book...this book has merit to all who can hear the message.. the philosophy of common sense and standing up for your beliefs are a delight in this day of political correctness..to enjoy this book better ..reading the original Out of the Ashes is very helpful but not necessary
Russians, Gangs, Cults...Why not Lybia!
Ben Raines and his rebels have fought tooth and nail against cults, Russians, Gangfs, and just plain filth. Now, an army of invading Lybians, headed by Khamsin (Hot Wind), are threatening the shores of America. Ben must finish the Russian Striganov, deal with Hartline, and still make sure that he has enough forces to deal with the new Lybian Leader who has threatened to make America the new seat of Islam. Riveting and frightening, which makes it that much better to read.

Good versus Evil in the stylings of William W Johnstone
This is one of my favorite novels by Johnstone. The premise is that a species of killer bats starts attacking an entire town. It is a suspense-filled story, as the heroes are afraid to go outside for fear the bats will get them. Nothing seems to affect the bats, and all hope seems lost. But in the end, one of the townspeople comes up with a plan that makes it all work out in the end.

Blood valley. Definately worth a read
This story, written in first person narrative, is pulled off beautifully by Johnstone. The young anti hero, Cotton Pickens will have you rolling with laughter and on the edge of your seat with plenty of mystery and excitement. A must read if you read western fiction at all. In the book, Cotton becomes a sheriff in a small cowtown, restores order, finds a girlfriend, foils a take over of the town, stops greedy landgrabbers, kills several night riding farm burners, and keeps the peace while keeping you in hysterics. William Johnstone is at the top of his game with this book.

Makes you think twice
I love this book. It has made me look at people and carnivals in a whole new way. Mr. Johnstone did a great job with this. Good vs. evil is his favorite theme and why not? He does it so well.

Heroic recording
I picked up this audio cassette and enjoyed the dramatic presentation very much. I've listened to a few books on tape but this was the first that I've heard as an audio drama. I'm looking for more now because of this tape. I'm not familiar with the Mountain Man series, but I have become a fan through this recording.

One of his best
Preacher during a trip back East to visit family encounters some pompous [people]. He will not back down from them but choose to fight on his own ground. As he heads back west to the High Lonesome he leaves a trail a blind person could follow. Now he is home, comfortable and knows every sq. inch of ground. He is ready to make objects that go in a GRAVE.
