terrible
i can't recommend this book. there are many other books which are much better. the authors of this book treat you like a first-grader.

totally worthless
i'm sorry, but this may be the worst med-spanish dictionary ever done. the authors treat the reader as first-graders. i would definitely not recommend this as there are many other books which do a much better job.

Best Medical Spanish Book Ever Written
Great book to keep readily available in ER, clinic, labor and delivery or wherever have Spanish speaking patients. Book focuses on key questions that guide patient management and which allow you to obtain relevant identifying information and to write a history and physical exam. Book also includes extensive sections on obtaining informed consent for numerous specific procedures, etc. The audiocassette that comes with the book is very helpful.

Good book, not very helpful for the QTsi
I was looking for a book which would tell me more about the QtSi. But what this book has is merely a rehash of whats there in the user manual for the book. SO , its not helpful in anyway. However, it covers the 8000Si, in detail, so it may be helpful for someone who wants to know about the 8000si. but fo rthe Stsi and the QTsi, its just a waste of money.

Good, wish there was more..
Have had this book since it came out. Believe Peter Burian did a better job on the 700si book than this one but still there is a ton of technical information to be gleaned from it.
From page 73 through 175 it majors on all the fine points of the 800si.
Don't understand flash ratios; Program Modes; Exposure Compensation; Custom Functions; Metering Techniques then get this book as it goes into much detail.
Of course when you're through reading the book you'll need to go out and experiment with film to see how well you've applied yourself.
Only drawback I find is that the book has no index, so I found my self marking the book up quite a bit for cross-referencing purposes.

For the money----- get the book.

Dont waste your money...
This book has one over-riding theme repeated constantly: The White Man is always wrong and the Indian is and has always been an innocent victem. I won't list details, but the lack of objectivity and obvious implications to the promote the theme are insulting. Although the book may contain some valuable and useful facts about Native Americans and their lifestyles, it is impossible to determine how authentic any of them are due to the overt propaganda that is being constantly asserted.

History in Pictures
A beautiful book that pleases the mind and eyes. Very authoritative and full of historical and anecdotal information relating to the Native Americans. Begins with pre-Columbus and continues through the ages to the 90's. A must read for anyone interested in Native american culture and history. The photographs and illustrations are priceless and well worth the price of the book. Add this to your history collection, younsters enjoy browsing at the wonderful prints of paintings and illustrations. An easy read whose pictures entertain and captivate the imagination.

the book is useless.
I regrear to buy this book don't spend any penny on it

Great Intro To Eiffel
This is a very approachable book on software engineering in the language Eiffel. Every aspect of the language is covered in great detail, and there are plenty of exercises and illustrations throughout to help readers stay on course.

Some of the material here is quite hard to find in other computer texts. For instance, there are chapters that discuss the theory behind Abstract Data Types, exception handling, the client/supplier relationship, and polymorphism in much greater depth than one will find in about 95% of the OO texts on the shelves.

No matter what the language in which you program, you owe it to yourself to read this book. And while you're at it, pick up a copy of Meyer's Object Oriented Software Construction 2nd ed.

Terrible
This book is laborious, overwritten and poor quality. It is as if the author is trying to demonstrate how many words one can fit into a sentence. For insight into Otters, at a child's reading level, choose a different book.

A scientifically accurate, highly enjoyable tale
Otter On His Own: The Story Of A Sea Otter is a children's story by Doe Boyle about a young otter growing up in the natural world. From learning how to eat sea urchins to exploring the underwater cove near where he was born and the world beyond, Otter On His Own is a scientifically accurate, highly enjoyable tale. Simple yet inspiring color illustrations by Robert Lawson add depth to the watery world of the otter pup.

Louise Bourgeois

Louise Bourgeois
If you are a fan of Bourgeois's (early) sculpture, you will definitely enjoy this book! The one drawback with this catalogue is that it was published in 1995 and doesn't show any of her recent work. (Since 1995, louise Bourgeois has produced some great pieces: sculpture, installations, drawing and prints.) If you are not yet familiar with Bourgeois Oeuvre, look at a recently published catalogue in order to get a complete overview of her work.

Peter's Painting

Creativity
White-bordered spreads that show a small boy painting alternate with full-bleed spreads depicting what he has painted: a bird, a snake, a fish, a star, all of which come to life. When he paints a door, it opens and he steps into the painting. Beautiful illustrations in rich colors enhance this tribute to the power of creativity.

Too detailed of questions, but the explanations atone for it
Although the questions sometimes get too detailed for purposes of Step 2 - type exams, the explanations are excellent and tend to cover more basic facts. This atones for the occasional question that states, "current research states ..." and puts it in the grasp of most medical students. This is a good book to cover (or at least sample) if you are taking NBMLE shelf exams.

Dancing on the Sand - A Story of an Atlantic Blue Crab
i am disappointed with this book as it was for my 5 year old and it contains way too much on the mating subject; more than i care to have to discuss with him right now. of 31 pages, there are 14 pages with text and 5 of these are on the mating subject. it's a shame, because the rest of the information is good and the illustrations are fairly good.

dancing on the sand - a story of an atlantic blue crab
i am disappointed with this book as it was meant for my 5 year old and it has WAY too much MATING content in it than i care to discuss with him right now. out of 31 pages, there are 14 pages with word content, and of these, 5 pages deal with the mating subject. too bad, as this is a fairly informative book with fairly nice illustrations. i am in the process of returning it to amazon. i guess this is the disadvantage of shopping on line.

Dancingon the Sand: A Story of an Atlantic Blue Crab
