Cliff's Notes to the JFK assassination theories
some drawings may seem cartoonish, but the actual literature of this book is good.
it covers over 20 of the major assassinations theories, not in great detail, but just an overview, like Cliff's Noes.
good book that covers the Warren Commission, Ford, the FBi and CIA, Cuba, Oswald and his life, just an overall good book.
if you want all the details and names, then get the actual JFK book like Crossfire by Jim Marrs.
if you a summary of the theories like Cliff's Notes, then get this book.

The best superficial overview to orient you to the genre
Of the dozens of works I have read on the assassination, this one is better at orienting the reader to the thousands of books, many, many of them useless. If you read only one, this will be it. You won't read only one, after you finish this book.

Wow, a one stop who shot JFK shop!!
I sat down and read this book about two years ago and I couldn't have enjoyed a book more. They have articulated all the great theories into words and idea's that the average reader can grasp without having to know too much backround info on all parties involved. I am now getting ready to take a survey history course on the subject so I am looking to get my hands on this book again!! If you can find a copy of this book, don't let it go!!

Super guide to American casinos
I first purchased Mr. Bourie's annual book many years ago, andlook forward to each new and expanded edition of his work. He tellsyou practically everything you need to know about casino gaming, then describes the basic offerings of every casino in the country, and then provides coupons that will save you hundreds of dollars when you visit many of the casinos listed. What else could you ask for? Any casino player who doesn't purchase this book every year is missing the boat!

Gambling--Yummy
Like to gamble? Me too! This guide tells you where all the casinos are in the good old USA. There are maps, plus detailed city maps of Las Vegas, Tunica, Biloxi, and others. It has strategy tables for blackjack and coupons for various discounts and freebies. You'll find me at a video poker machine--see you there! Good Luck!

Batman Beyond To The Rescue
Terry McGinnis patrols Gotham City as Batman. Drawn to an attack on a building, he flies down and sees Shriek. While they fight, Batman has to save a young deaf boy from falling rock. Batman tracks Shriek down, but their fight again involves young Tommy. Part of what makes Shriek evil is his own deafness, and Batman knows that.

Scott Peterson has written and edited several Batman stories for DC Comics. He's also written another Batman Beyond book for young readers: BATMAN BEYOND: NEW HERO IN TOWN.

BATMAN BEYOND: HEAR NO EVIL is written like a comic book. The use of panels and word balloons draw an early reader's eye on, and the layout makes the story fun to read out loud. The art is really well done, showing lots of action and color.

This book is recommended for young fans of the BATMAN BEYOND cartoon.

Batman: The Complete Knightfall Saga [Full Cast Audio Drama, Two Cassettes]

The Power Of Radio
It's a misnomer to call this an audiobook, because it's something far more interesting. KnightFall is a a full scale radio play with sound effects, character readings and brilliant editting that surpasses even the fantastic National Public Radio production of Star Wars.
This book is brilliant and after listening to it, I felt more like I'd seen a really great movie than listened to an audiobook.
It's simply fantastic!

BATMAN: THE COMPLETE KNIGHTFALL SAGA
This full cast audio drama was originally released on BBC tapes. Michael Gough had reprised his role of Alfred from the recent movies. The story features the Joker, the Riddler, the Mad Hatter, and Knightwing.

Thank You!!!
I can not say enough good things about these books. My 6 year old daughter has struggled with reading for a while. She would get frustrated and discouraged with other books. The BOB books are easy for her to decode, The illustrations are simple and not distracting.

she feels a sense of accomplishment when she completes the books. She brings one or two books with her where ever she goes and has started reading to everyone, she even calls her relatives out of state and reads them the stories over the phone! This is the best reading program I have ever seen! Thank you for developing this program!!!

Terrific Series for Emerging Readers
This is the same series as "More Bob Books," but it has been repackaged. It is a series of eight readers focusing on short vowels, consonant blends and compound words. My five year old started with "Bob Books First" and has progressed to this series. He finds the stories much more interesting but sometimes struggles with the new compound words. By the third time reading a book he had mastered it sufficiently to be anxious to begin reading the next. We could not be more pleased with the series.

An entertaining and insightful look at true Texas history.
This is a great book for anyone interested in the cattle business, Texas history, or the politics of big business in the middle of this century. One need not be a rancher or cattleman to enjoy this book. I would highly recommend this book to anyone from any background.

unique insight to modern-day, multi-national ranch boss
If you have an interest in the King Ranch, you should read this book.

Teaches kindness towards animals
I don't know what it is, but I cry every time I read this!! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that the illustrations make this book. The sheer joy on the faces of people who help and love this little dog warms my heart. I think this book truly teaches kindness and empathy towards animals.

Great Bedtime Story w/ Wonderful Illustrations
This is the type of bedtime book which will be remembered fondly twenty years from now. Even when covered with blue paint, the truly likable character of the lead dog shines through.

Like a Complete Unknown: The Poetry of Bob Dylan's Songs, 1961-1969
Published in Paperback by Stealing Home Press (23 October, 2002)
Author: John Hinchey
Amazon base price: $15.00
Used price: $10.51
Average review score:

Tells You How It Feels
A fine addition to your Dylan library. One of the few books to deal with Dylan's output with the respect and insight it deserves. Thankfully the book is on the songs rather than the life of Bob Dylan.

With the insight of an academic yet using fully accessible, virtually jargon free, prose Mr. Hinchey's takes us on a journey through Bob Dylan's 1960's work answering the question "How Does It Feel".

A convincing thesis is laid out in the introduction and expounded in the following chapters. You don't have to agree with all the interpretations to still get a lot out of them. Having said which I have rarely agreed with as many.

Superbly illuminating!
It's great to finally read a serious, subtle reading of Dylan's evocative but often mysterious lyrics. Hinchey regards Dylan as a major poet, and his book provides powerful support for that view. Classics heard many times like "It's Alright Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)" take on richer, brighter colors after reading "Like a Complete Unknown."

Best photographic Sinatra book, ever.
This is the best-looking coffee table book on Sinatra, with most of the first half based on an excellent essay by John Lahr. For a thorough look at the music, you want Will Friedwald's book, but this one is a classic photo tour of Sinatra's career from Hoboken to the world. I could spend a 1000 words on the pictures, but you can travel back to the 1950s with this one. The large format photos bring home the personality of the subjects, who include Nat Cole, Ava Gardner, Dean Martin, Count Basie and other music icons of the last century. Very enjoyable evening read, also.

Superbly illustrated profile of Sinatra
Of the plethora of books on Frank Sinatra that have been fighting for space on the shelves since his death, this is the best.

A wonderful essay by John Lahr chronicles his life, from the tough streets of Hoboken to a room in Beverly Hills shortly before his 80th birthday. A now well chronicled life, but captured by Mr Lahr in all its complexity and contradiction.

At the heart of this life was his great gift - singing. At the very end, in the Beverly Hills room, surrounded by Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan (what were they doing there?) Steve Lawrence and others, he insisted on singing the solo. It was his right then, as it had been his right throughout his life. And he was undeniable.

A beautifully designed and produced book, it is adorned with a perfect selection of photographs to complement the essay. Look at the faces on page 102, completely transfixed by "The Voice" and see what James Agee called "an erotic dream".

A must have for Sinatra fans, and anyone fascinated by popular culture.
