Schuller Brings New Possibilities to God's Word
Robert H. Schuller is a man who knows about life. He has been through all kinds of struggles and heartaches. Yet he has learned much from the greatest Possibility Thinker whoever lived. His name is Jesus. And in this Bible you will find many links discussing today's obstacles and how you can rely on God to help you overcome them. This Book contains great study aids and wonderful articles to help you on your positive journey with the Lord. Most Bibles just present the Word and that in and of itself is enough. What the New Possibility Thinkers Bible does is embrace areas of thought that have been largely ignored in evangelical circles. Namely health, nutrition, attitude and destiny. This Bible will take you on a totally complete spiritual journey. Dr. Schuller is an American treasure and this Bible is thoroughly inspiring. God will be more real, more involved and more influential in every area of your life. Give this Bible a try!

Top Geneology Title
New York mustered the second largest number of troops for the war, in total over 50,000 men! From records in the NY State Comptroller's Office these volumes provide an unique source of information for the historian or geneological researcher. There is a convenient index to the first volume.
A must have!

The most comprehensive clinically oriented nuc med text.
There are several comprehensive nuclear medicine textbooks and I have used them all from time to time. This is without a doubt the most clinically relevant, and contains excellent radiopharmacy and basic science information as well.

One of the best literary magazines around
Open City consistently publishes great stories, poems, essays, and artwork. I look forward to each issue, because each one is so different, and because this magazine continues to be vital and relevant, esp. because many literary magazines are so staid and dull....

Postmodern Ethics Explained
Jim Anderson is the finest American mind in postmodern social science theory. This slim volume is an intriguing and manageable introduction to how pomo theories of self and subject may be used to negotiate the challenges which arise when we try to live decent lives with each other. Although written as a textbook, this work should be added to the shelf of anyone who is confused about what it means to be a caring and trustworthy worker, lover, friend and family member in the age of deconstruction. Useful for people tired of Marxist and/or French pomo theory. (khuck@cocc.edu)

Beautiful, original re-telling of Scottish lore!
The animals around the misty Isles of Scotland get to tell this tale of adventure as escape of Bonnie Prince Charley through the Highlands in 1746. He's now a Scottish deerhound, beholding to Skye terrier Fora MacDonald. Robert Hutchinson and Rob Brown join forces to tell and illustrate the story beautifully. I especially liked the way Flora communicates with "free" animals who bravely come to her aid. Such a talented lady--she speaks otter, owl, porpoise, marten, and deer! A lovely, lyrical journey sure to delight parents and children alike.

A Life Changing Experience
Born in 1951, I was a child of the JFK generation. The Peace Corps, the growing Asian war, the idealism of a few good politicians, protests in the streets greatly influenced my upbringing. All of this was a jumble until I met Dorothy Day and then read A PENNY A COPY. My encounter with Miss Day was very brief, but I do remember the intensity of her eyes. And that intensity flowed into her writings from the Catholic Worker which are contained in this book. The desire to be Christian was burned into every page. Because of this book, my great heros became and still are Peter Maurin and Dorothy Day. In great part I became a Catholic Priest because of A Penny A Copy. Voluntary poverty, Community, and communicating the Good News is what I have sought now throughout my life. Since reading the original, I haven't missed an Issue of the Catholic Worker, which still sells for A Penny a Copy. I am buying an extra copy of the book to give to a friend.

Best Pharmacology book
This has got to be the best Pharm. book I have ever read. I don't like to read that much and don't like all the big terminology that most books print. This book brings everything down to the basic level of understanding! I know that it's publishing date is old (1994), but I still think new Paramedic students will get great knowledge from this book.

A refreshingly biblical approach to worship
This is a wonderfully balanced, even-handed approach to the "worship wars" and debate over styles used in worship services. The small book is remarkably free from personal preferences and challenges the reader to examine biblical foundations in formulating opinions and thoughts concerning contemporary worship, especially as it relates to a return to God-centeredness in worship. Its direction and instruction may not be popular with those who prefer a market-driven, pole-oriented approach to what worship should look like, but its scholarship will be evident to all who read it. This is classic James Boice at his direct and insightful best.
