Pastor Albertin certainly has a gift for telling us about God's word. I feel very proud to have him as a pastor and be his Catechism class as he is my instructor. This series of books give you an excellent explanation of what Martin Luther was explaining about The Apostle's Creed and The Lord's Prayer. Buy this book!

What a wonderful and enthrilling book. Doc Martin really managed to let the reader feel like he'd be part of the whole story. From the beginning of the book the reader feels like standing right next to Stonewall Jackson, the tactical genius who rewrote military history during the Civil War. It is an absolute pleasure to feel and see the numerous photographs in the book become alive with the words of the author. The fact that beside Stonewall Jackson the book offers an exclusive view on all the other important personalities behind the scenes of the war and around the map-table makes the reader finish the book with an exhausted - because of the many details shown - but satisfied impression about this time period and it's heroes. I highly enjoyed analyzing the movements of the opposing forces on the charts and maps and I can only recommend Mr. Martin's other campaign books 'The Peninsula Campaign', 'The Chancellorville Campaign', and 'The Philadelphia Campaign', as well as 'Confederate Monuments at Gettysburg' and 'Gettysburg July 1'.

David is a man, tortured and tested, blessed and reviled, diabolical and divine. You will take every step with him and, right or wrong, you will understand the reasons an outlaw becomes King, and why a King falls from grace. Martin enriches the time-worn story with historical social details. Extra-biblical elements add a swash-buckling excitement to the life of a King you thought you already knew.

I cannot say enough about how well this lab manual is written to coincide with the textbook, Hole's Human Anatomy & Physiology. Being one of the most challeging courses I have yet to take, I found this manual a tremendous help, especially with the visuals. The diagrams are fabulous and helped me tremendously to memorize the parts that were crucial on tests. The chapters on dissection were written very clearly and well organized. I found this book to be a great aid in helping me achieve an A average for my class.

It's a shame this book is out-of-print. It took Amazon.com a few weeks to find it and ship it to me, but it was well worth the wait. Billy Martin is the type of subject who causes a potential biographer to salivate. He was one of the most remarkable characters the game has ever produced and it's amazing that there aren't more books about his turbulent life. Given his limited talents as a ballplayer, Martin overachieved on the diamond and made a name for himself in the 50s as the scrappy second baseman of Casey Stengel's New York Yankees. In the sixties, he managed in the minor leagues before making it back to the majors. In his very first year as a big league skipper, he lead the Minnesota Twins to the American League West title and was fired despite the strong showing. Almost everywhere he went he won at least one division championship, usually with the type of ballplayers who would have sent most managers to an early retirement. As a stategist, Martin was the most brilliant manager of his time, considered the greatest captain ever by no less an expert than the Elias Sports Bureau. Unfortunately, Martin's attachment to booze and his violent temper marked him everywhere he went. He was too prone to outbursts and alcoholic rage to suit the tastes of his employers, most of whom eventually grew tired of his constant shenanigans both on and off the field. Despite his amazing abilities as a manager, he was fired from every major league job he ever received. Most noteworthy among his stops was the New York Yankees. He could never get along with owner George Steinbrenner, who hired and fired Martin a ridiculous five times. Martin was too obsessed with being a Yankee to ever let rational thought keep him from taking over the reins of the team. His much-publicized bar fights were the stuff of legend and he never admitted to starting a brawl; it was always someone else's fault. He died tragically in a drunk driving accident in which he may or may not have been at the wheel (depending on whose story you believe). One of the reasons this book is such a fascinating read is that Falkner doesn't outdo himself in telling the story. He doesn't try -- as many authors surely would have -- to add his own personal touch to Martin's legend, but instead allows his readers to form their own opinion on the subject. Only in the epilogue does the author give his own opinions on Martin's career as a baseball genius. All of the controversies from the on-going feuds he had with Reggie Jackson to ordering pitchers to plunk batters to punching travelling marshmallow salesmen are reported in sufficient detail. It's a shame people don't have better access to such a fine book.

Laura C. Martin's book about Southern Garden's is published on a fine high quality paper with wonderful color photographs. All of the South's wonderful public gardens are included. The book does a fabulous job of educating the reader about the gardens but is so complete it truly serves as a travel guide for the must see gardens of the South.

Lisa Fonssagrives was the first true supermodel. She had a cool easiness to her modeling, she was almost surreal. Her beauty was perfection. I do not believe there has ever been a model that can compare to her. The supermodels of today, Cindy, Naomi, Claudia are all beautiful, but not in the same way that Lisa was perfect. Its so nice to see her images captured in a book. I hope that in the future more will be done to regenerate her place in history.

I checked this book out of the library, and my two-year-old wanted me to read it every night (sometimes several times!) I renewed it, and she still wants to hear it every night. After two months of nightly reads, it's about time for me to buy the book! I'm not (quite) tired of the book yet, and that's pretty high praise considering how many times I've read it.

Little Chicken Chicken doesn't go along with the crowd, and doesn't get intimidated by others who tease her. In the end, she impresses them all with her courage and creativity. I would hope for the same for my own children.

David White delves into this difficult territory with a great deal of clarity and logical rigour, which, unfortunately, is not all that common in commentaries on Heidegger

As a wildlife photographer I was very keen to find out where were the easiest places in Australia to see wildlife. This was the only book I have been able to find of this kind. The guide lists the best locations to see wildlife by state, often with very specific details. It also provides a brief description of some of Australia's most popular wildlife and what are the hotspots for viewing that particular species. This guide is not designed to give detailed information on wildlife behavior or physical makeup, it is designed to tell you where you can see wildlife and it does that brilliantly!!
