Spectacular!
Written to be a comment on what happens when socialist dictators take over it extends well beyond. It touched upon what it means to be a person, the rights all should have and a graphic depiction on what it takes for a man to give up his principles. A grand, grand, grand book. One of the best written in a good time.

Caspian Sea of Ink: The Meade-Sickles Controversy
Published in Hardcover by Butternut & Blue (1996)
Author: Richard A. Sauers
Amazon base price: $30.00
Average review score:

The most important Civil War Controversy
This is an excellent historical review of the events that surround the most important day in American History. July 2, 1863 in Gettysburg, PA. Mr. Sauer's concise history is a good beginning although many of the questions will never be answered. The Sickles-Meade Controversy is still vigorusly debated 130 years after the event. Most events are long out of the public memory by then but, I feel this one will last as long as there is an United States of America.

Cellular Aging and Cell Death

Authors: Nikki J. Holbrook, George R. Martin, and Richard A. Lockshin
Amazon base price: $170.00
Used price: $94.95

Average review score:

Human body is made of cells, its aging is important.
Cell of the body must have the proper environment. Developmental changes (age changes) can be explained better at the cellular level. Errant condition and failure to correct lead to cell injury. The greater the number of cells injured the more likely system malfunction would occur.

Highly recommended
The Charlton Story is a well-written and important tribute to one of America's greatest business entrepreneurs. Earle Perry Charlton, one of the five founding fathers who made the F.W. Woolworth Co. the most successful and well-known discount chain of all time, was also one of the most generous of men. His personal letters, many of which are reprinted in this book, provide insight into his strong business ethics ...his dealings with employees...and much more. This book is a fine addition to the library of anyone interested in business or biography.

cd format mac incompatibility fixed (for me)
Contacted Springer who manufactured cd in microsoft format incompatible to mac today (26Feb2002).

... These authors are masters. Each author, I find from surfing on the web, has a computer learning lab. The early reading introduces the fact that without the constraints of paper, undergraduates can learn to compose solutions to more realistic problems, eg. golf balls do not go on parabolas but do depend on your irons and crosswinds.

My last read text by the same authors, "Nonlinear Physics with Maple" edition 1 was a really inspiring book full of exercises. A master of solitons, Ablowitz, wrote (with) "Complex Variables" available at [Amazon.com]. Riemann Hilbert problems chapter 7 ought to further flesh out "Nonlinear Physics with Maple" last chapter concerning inverse scattering method in a to me readable manner.

Customer Service is treated as a strategy not a tactic
This book suggests that all business activity must be to delight a customer. Profit is the reeward for doing a good job. not the objective. The book has a number of worksheet that I completed and it really helped me do a better job at serving the customer. I wasn't just excited to serve the customer I had tools to make it happen.

Very concise and comprehensive description of land animals
The Encyclopaedia of Animals: Mammals, Birds, Reptile, and Amphibians is a milestone in concise scientific, and current description of animal species. Any amature(or professional), could only benefit by having this book in there collection. It is a shame it is no longer in print after only been in circulation for only three years.
