a revelation of the cross
This sequel to The Wigglesworth Standard follows the same format as the other but what stuck with me was Madden's teaching on the cross. We all know we should love the cross and love to know nothing "save Jesus Christ, and him crucified" but I personally struggle to grasp the fullness of the cross. And I mourn that the crucifixion story bores me too much of the time. And so I was thrilled to receive a new revelation of the work of the cross in the life of the believer through this book. (It got me preaching the cross to my wife and just about anybody else I could get to listen. :)) So, if you desire a new look at the cross then I urge you to read this book. (It's a totally different look than Nee's Normal Christian Life, for example.)

A very useful book for expatriates
I am an expatriate manager & teacher, researcher in cross-cultural business issues, and teach international marketing and management at a university undergraduate level, in English, to students in non-English-speaking countries. This book is particularly useful to me personaly in assisting in my understanding and interactions with my studens, university colleagues & administration, and my neighbors. I have waded through many dense, poorly- written tomes in this area of study; however, the Smith and Bond book is refreshingly interesting, well-written and useful, with helpful inserts, cartoons, and comment boxes adding to one's insight. I exerpt and adapt frequently from the book in my courses in Managing the International Enterprise and Cross-Cultural Issues in Management. The book is useful for both university education, training exptraite managers, and for reading and reference by thoughtful expatriates.

First rate interdisciplinary approach to history.
In this very readable historiacl survey of U.S.-Latin American realations, Smith develops a template which demonstrates the logic of U.S. policy and Latin American response within the context of the global situation. To accomplish this, he breaks history into three general time periods: 1790s-Cold War, The Cold War, and the post-Cold War. In each of these periods, Smith develops the global context or "rules of the game", then moves on to the resulting U.S. policy. He finishes each historical era with an incisive analysis of Latin American options for response. This book is a must for students of Latin America and certainly for those individuals whose activities, whether they be commercial or official in nature, are shaping the book's next chapter.

Transnational Urbanism: Locating Globalization

Bringing agency back into urban theory
This book brings agency back into the discourse on globalization in urban theory. This is a particularly welcome addition to a field that has been dominated for two decades by unconvincing narratives of city life as an inevitable byproduct of capitalism's structural logic.

Totally new approach
I really liked this book. Rather than being your standard coffee table oversized hardcover (which is a lot of what you find these days about architecture) this book presents a serious and fascinating discussion about architecture and the modern world. Their new approach, looking at three clients, puts the architects in a new light, offering greater depth and understanding of what it takes to build a modern monument. Anyone with a more than cursory interest in architecture would certainly enjoy and learn from this book.

A more than complete guide to paintball.......
I bought this guide when I was just a newbie to paintball, and now I have been playing for about 6 months. The guide impacted my play so much, that I was one of the best players when all I had was a pump action gun. It taught me all about what to do in every situation possible, how to move, and what equipment to aquire. This guide was helpful then, and amazingly it is still helpful now! It helps me with gun malfunctions, ways to care for my gun, and what guns to buy. This is a great book and I highly reccomend it to all paintball players.

This is the best paintball book yet!
I would have to say that this book is the best resource forpantball, hands down. Sure big...companies have good websites, but ifyou want in your face interviews with the people who came up with thisgreat game, or if you want detailed tactics and stratagies on how totake out an opponent, this is the book for you.

In the firstchapter, it has information on what the game is about, it's rules, different games you can play, 3 interviews with the pioneers ofpaintball, explanations about all the equipment and what it all doesfor you, common mistakes new players make...it goes on and on...theperfect new player's resource!

If you're a new player or a seasonedvetran, this book will have something for you. For the new playerthere's all of chapter one and much, much more to get a grasp on thebackground and the way the game of paintball is played. For theadvanced player, an explanation of the front, mid a back players in agame, advanced playing tactics, and lots of great drills and otherinformation.

If you are thinking about getting a paintball book, then definately get this one because for $16, you get a whole overviewof paintball, drills, gun information, info on all the equipmentyou'll use, advanced tactics and so, so much more.

I really enjoyedthis book, and I hope you do too!

Paintball newbie-pro
This is a great book that i would recomend to anybody interested in paintball. It covers it all from the basic skills need for your first day of play all the way up through skills pro players work on everyday. Not only does it cover skills but many other things like equiptment, tactics, the history of this new sport, interviews with top companies like WDP Smart Parts and WGP, and much much more. This book is a worthwhile investment to improve your game or start it.
