Good Grief!
All of Sparky's strip from 1997 in full color! Plus 2 from 1996 as an added bonus.

Included are strips where: Rerun gets suspended from kindergarden *twice!, the Literary Ace geting help from Lucy, a look at Valley Forge and WWI, Olaf and Andy's quest for Spike, Charlie Brown getting a love leter...

Let's face it: Charles 'Sparky' Schulz was great. This book belongs in any fan's collection.

Big World: Peanuts 1997
This book covers the Penauts gang and a whole year's worth of strips in color, the year being 1997. This is another example of the same great humor he has given us for fifty years, and I will always miss him.

Another gem from Sparky
One the best books with Charlie Brown's failures, Rerun's attempts at getting away from school, Snoopy's encounters with General Washington at Valley Forge. Its a good collectible. One of the best peanuts books. Although its like Peanuts 2000, only 2 or 3 strips are the same.

Finally good Peanuts-strips collections !
It is hard to believe that the most popular comic strip characters in the history have been treated so wrongly in the past. You could buy tons of merchandising, but the true essentials, being the strips themselves, were published at random... until now !!! Thank God that this editor is publishing complete and chronological runs !!! A full year per book, and the "sundays" in colour : what else do you need ?
I only regret that only 2 books are published every year : at this rate it will take 25 years to complete this edition !

Classic
How can you go wrong with Peanuts?

In this set from 1996 you get: Rerun's first day at school, Reruns first dog, protests against fishing, what happened in WWI, Charlie Brown going to a dance, the revelation of Woodstock's royal lineage, and much more.

Keep your nickle. This bit of advice is on me: This is a bit of great humor. Do whatLucy says, and get this book!

More info about this book
This is the next installment in the regressing yearly strip reprint series. These are from 1996. The dailies are un-colorized (unlike the previous book) and the Sundays are in color.

The world is better with Charles Schulz
The familiar little round-headed Charlie Brown has become a world-wide cultural figure since his creation, as has all of Schulz's other characters. The Peanuts gang not only brings laughs to its readers, but every comic has a deeper profound statement. His comedy more than simple slapstick, Schulz brings to life the pains and joys of childhood; messages of inspiration and hope and illustrated through loveable characters like Snoopy and Linus. Charlie Brown (based on Schulz's own childhood) is a perfect demonstration that no matter how many times things mess up, you should always try to kick that football or write that letter to the little red-haired girl.

The World is Full of Mondays is well-arranged, with enough comic strips to keep you laughing (with sometimes a tear or two in between) through many readings. With a tasteful mixture of color and black-and-white comics, along with sections arranged by subject, this is a beautiful collection that should be transcended from generation to generation (and not always in order from oldest to youngest.)

Charles Schulz, you have made the world a better place for many people. We will miss you.

The World Is Filled with Mondays...and Baseball!
This has Peanuts comic strips from 1994. When I first read this book, I laughed for a long time! It was also my first Peanuts book and now I am hooked!

Great Bag Full Of Peanuts!
More Peanuts classics featuring Charlie Brown and the gang. This is a great series because it contains a full year's worth of strips in a single volume. Highly recommended and they should put out more of these books, especially one that cover the years 1955-1970.

You Don't Look 35, Charlie Brown
Being a Snoopy's fan for more than 20 years, I really enjoy knowing the insight of Charles M.Schulz's comics. This book tells you the motive and reasons behind his work. A very enjoyable book!

It's A Wonderful Life
If you are unable to spring for Peanuts: A Golden Celebration (which, by the way, is worth every penny), try this one. This has a lot of Mr Schulz' favorite strips and he intersperses these with a number of comments about them. Now that Mr Schulz is gone, it is a memorial to how much he has accomplshed.

the book is neat
i think it is a pretty good story that provides comic strips as the drawer talk. I expecially liked the art

Same as always
Pretty much the same as the special,(except for the Pawpet Show),
Charlie Brown waits for valentines with pie in the sky hopes. Snoopy makes a music box out of paper, while Sally makes a diamond and a club, and Charlie Brown watches his "something that is very nice" fall apart.

anonymous ...
This book was really funny. Charlie Brown, Lucy and Snoopy are probably the best charaters.

Absolutely great!
This wonderful collection of Peanuts cartoons was originally published in 1959. As with other Peanuts books, this one has two strips of four frames each, all of then from 1957-59. This means that these stories include Lucy, Violet, Pig-Pen and Schroeder, but not Sally or Rerun.

As with all of the Peanuts books, this one is absolutely great, and if you can get it, then do so! In it you will see Linus as a wild-eyed fanatic, Lucy as a bug-enthusiast, and Snoopy as a vulture!

As an aside, it is in this book that Charlie Brown first revealed (to his pencil-pal and us) that his father is a barber and his mother a housewife.

7th ever Peanuts reprint book
This book is the 7th every reprint book published by the Holt, Rinehart, and Winston company. This classic Peanuts book features strips from 1957-1959. You can also find these strips in a newer book titled "Fly, You Stupid Kite, Fly."

A must-have kids book. Too bad its out of print.
My brother and I had all of the Charlie Brown Super Book of Questions and Answers books. They were great! Too bad they are out of print. I would recommend trying to find them used because they are wonderful books. Educational and very fun to read.

A must have for any child - if you can still find it!
All of the Charlie Brown Super Books of Questions and Answers are a must for any child's library. Unfortunately they are now out of print. My sister and I each had two of the five books and I read all of them over and over again until the bindings fell off. They offer unique insight into the world around us from a child's point of view by asking and answering questions that kids are curious about. My sister and I still remember these books fondly - too bad they are out of print. They are definitely a classic in my book!

Peanuts 1959-60: Linus in the spotlight and Sally is born
"Go Fly a Kite, Charlie Brown" contains "Peanuts" strips from the years 1959 and 1960 where in addition to his travails over flying a kite Charlie Brown becomes a brother with the birth of his sister Sally. However, it takes a while for Sally to actually appear in her first strip (playing spin the milk bottle with Snoopy), at which point she almost costs her big brother a chance to be the goat in yet another baseball game. However, the real star of this particular collection is clearly Linus, who spends his time throwing rocks in a vacant lot, fretting about the future and the peace of the world, falling very hard for his new teacher, Miss Othmar (he does not worship here, he is just very fond of the ground on which she walks), and teaching Charlie Brown about the Great Pumpkin. Then there is the great danger Snoopy faces when he wakes up one morning and discovers a giant icicle poised perilously over his doghouse; fortunately he is actually sleeping IN the doghouse instead of ON the doghouse. There is also the appearance of Pig Pen, Snoopy's conversations with leaves, and yet another Beethoven's birthday to be celebrated. You will also be pleased to notice that several of these strips made their way into the first animated "Peanuts" television cartoon, "A Charlie Brown Christmas."

9th Peanuts Reprint Book

Happiness Is Seeing This Back In Print.
This was my favorite book when I was little my Mom would read it to me all the time and when I learned how to read I read it all the time, the cute book just gave you a happy warm feeling! I wish I still owned the book but unfortunately it was given away but I would love to find this book again not only for me for sentimental reasons but also for my niece! Please reprint this book!

Worth searching for
I remember this book so well that I can even recall how it smelled as I read it as a preschooler. This is a great little book--not outdated in the least, even almost 40 years after it first came out. My childhood copy disintegrated years ago, but I was lucky enough to find it secondhand for my own kids, who like it as much as I did. The wildly-colored pages are a precursor to sixties "groovyness," but the text is years before its time. I think children need to be taught to appreciate the little things in life just as much as adults. It is possible (and maybe necessary) to find satisfaction in daily situations. One of my favorite pages in the book shows Linus working on a jisaw puzzle. "Happiness is finding the little piece with the pink edge and part of the sky and the top of the sailboat." How true!

"Happiness is a Warm Puppy" is as genuinely appealing as it was years ago. It's easy to see why the book is still sought out at online auctions. This is a little book of endearing philosophy that will survive another 40 years.

A neat collection
This book is great. It shows most of the Peanuts strips for the year of 1992. It has some awesome strips, like the one where it shows Marcie without her glasses, something I had never seen before(her eyes look just like everybody else's). The only complaint that I have is that it doesn't show most of the Sunday strips in the year. But other than that, this book is a great collection for any Peanuts fan!

Not Your Average Blockhead
Another great collection of Peanuts strips. A single year's worth in a single volume. Hundreds of laughs that will tug your heart.
