Some funny stories from 1971 comic strips
This is the 11th book of the CARLITOS collection published in spanish by Burulán in 1970s. It contains 25 pages of coloured Peanuts daily and Sunday strips mainly from 1971, but with any from 1960. Woodstock get in love with an earthworm, Linus hides his blanket from his grandmother, Pepermint Patty and Marcie go to a summer camp to see Charlie Brown. The friendship between Peppermint Patty and Marcie is beggining, despite the different characters they both have. A nice book for introduce children to Peanuts as they learn spanish at the same time. A curious piece for collectors. A book difficult to get as it was published in 1972.

Poor Charlie Brown
This is a great book for Peanuts lovers - young and old. Once again Charlie Brown is feeling down and out. Who else would he ask for advice but Lucy at her psychiatric help stand? Charlie Brown is advised to sign up for dance lessons. He loves it! A cute blond headed girl picks him for her dance partner. Just when he can't belive it's real, she asks him to go to the Sweetheart Dance. To find out what happens, you need to read the book. This book is also great for beginning readers. It will hold their interest while they enjoy the thrill of reading to themselves.

The journal is very adorable. It's big enough to fill more than half a year's worth of memories in it, unlike other journals which can only hold about three months. Like I said very adorable.

Another Great "Peanuts" Gift Book!
This another great "Peanuts" gift book, although it has the same problem that I've had with all "Peanuts" gift books - I find them too short! There is a huge supply of love-themed "Peanuts" comics out there, and I'd love to see Henry Holt put out a new edition with more of them. Still, even at this size, this book is a great buy for $7. Kind of like a "Peanuts Classics" book, it features comics from the '60s/'70s through the early '90s. I would recommend this to any "Peanuts" fan wanting a Valentine's Day, or just love, collection.

Snoopy¿s nightmare
This cute little book (40 pages, excluding the title page and so forth) is another excellent example of the work of the incomparable Charles M. Schulz. In this book, Charlie Brown sets out to make a sled dog out of Snoopy, which ends in utter disaster. But, that night's meal of three pizzas, coupled with Charlie Brown's stories of sled dog life, produce a horrific nightmare for poor Snoopy. But, Snoopy is made out of tougher stuff than you might imagine...

When I was a child, I absolutely loved the Peanuts, and I am so pleased that my own children have now fallen in love with those same funny characters. This book is large and attractive, with brightly colored pictures that are sure to please the young reader (and Peanuts fans of all ages)! My children and I highly recommend this book to you!

More of a love of self, vs a love of Peanuts collecting.
I was greatly disappointed in the book. While it has lots of Great pictures and information, the editor, freddy Margoline has to let us know time and again how big her collection is or how she has personally met Mr. Schulz and stuff like that. I just never got a "Happiness is" feeling from this book like I got from the Andrea Podley and Derrick Bang book. That book (Peanuts Collectibles: Identification & Value Guide) really does give the "Happiness is a Peanuts Collection" feeling in the spirit that Sparky would appreciate. So if you can only get one book on Peanuts Collecting, get the Podley one - it has a "Happy" soul.

A Must Have for the serious Peanuts Collector!
This is the best Peanuts Collectors' book ever! It contains excellent pictures and the price values are right on target. These Peanuts collectibles are organized by where you might find them in your home, so it is user friendly. (i.e. Peanuts in the kitchen, bathroom, playroom etc.) It has been very helpful for shopping at auctions on the internet. I have even been able to find items by their discription when the seller has not provided a picture. This book is great and well worth its price.

The Ultimate Peanuts Collector Guide
Freddi's book is a MUST HAVE for anyone collecting or dealing in Peanuts memorabilia. The layout of the book is fabulous and you only have to go to the index to find exactly which page you need to be on unlike other guides that give you a ballpark topic. You want bobbleheads, look up bobbleheads etc! The pricing is fair and not out of this world. Some folks like to charge outlandish prices for Peanuts items but this book gives you the real scoop on what something is worth, so don't be fooled by those who tell you an item is rare and worth $100 when this book will tell you it was made yesterday and on;y worth what was originally paid for it.

The pictures are great, lots of them and clear and concise, not to mention they show the item as it should be, in pristine condition.

The Collectors Corner in the back of the book is great too because it gets you up close and personal with others who are just as crazy about Peanuts as you might be. You are not alone in your craziness!

BUY THIS BOOK!

Re-Drawn Book Adapted From the TV Special
I almost feel like a traitor saying anything less than praise for this book featuring the Peanuts Gang created originally by Charles M. Schulz. I, like millions of others, grew up with Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, Violet, Snoopy, Pig Pen, Schroeder, and Sally. Every year at Halloween I looked forward to seeing the story of sincere Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin in the pumpkin patch. This book contains all the characters and it re-tells essentially the same story but it has been illustrated by Paige Braddock rather than Schulz and adapted by Justine and Ron Fontes and seems to have lost something in the process. The Peanuts gang always was kind of surly with each other, calling names like Blockhead, pulling footballs out from each other and laughing at one another's expense. In this story, of course, Linus is the brunt of the teasing because he has undying faith in the mythical Great Pumpkin. For years I loved watching the Charlie Brown cartoon specials, the catchy piano jazz theme and the short, big-headed kids with their flat feet and funny facial expressions. Who could help loving Snoopy as the Red Baron or little Woodstock? These cartoons have always had a decidedly adult sense of humor, sometimes rather dark humor even though children the world over have loved the cartoon kids themselves.
This book doesn't work, in my opinion, precisely because it is NOT the TV movie. As a picture book it is placed directly into the world of children's literature and as such, the innocence of the readership makes satire seem inappropriate and it comes off as bad-tempered, impatient and indifferent to the feelings of others. This is not something I want to convey to children and it is not something I like to see done to a classic. Most of the pictures show facial expressions on the kids that are either discouraged, sad, taunting or angry. There's even anguish on one little face. There are only a few smiles.
It is touted as the 35th Anniversary edition but it really doesn't celebrate much of an anniversary because it is an off-shoot of the real thing...sadly not too close to the real thing, in fact. I got this book because I had feelings of fond nostalgia for Linus and his vigil in the pumpkin patch but it made me question why I ever liked it in the first place, and that's sad.

Re-illustrared for your displeasure...
Um, don't really know who Paige Braddock is, or what she's doing here. When I was young there was a book adaptation which featured artwork from the tv special itself, including Snoopy's wild dogfight with the Red Baron. Tough to support a "newly re-drawn" version, especially one that's done after the creator's passing.

Essentially the Same.
Even though this 35th Anniversary Edition is illustrated by someone else, it's essentially the same story book that appeared years ago. True, the story has been trimmed down some. But most of the elements are still there: Linus' desperate hoping, Charlie Brown's holey costume, Lucy putting her brother to bed. The illustration look almost identical to the drawings of the beloved Schulz and if it weren't for the fact that Paige Braddock's name appears on the title page, one wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Besides, this is a great Peanuts's story and one of the best Halloween stories around.

Good, but not big enough
A very cute but very very short book - keep in mind it only has 32 pages and it is one long strip, as opposed to most other books, which are nice collections of daily strips.

Adorable!
This is a great book for five year olds who are starting to learn about the use of sarcasm. Very funny and engaging. My son actually quotes this book!

Uh, it's okay?
I thought Mr. Schulz's lawyer said "no" to any depiction of his characters ever to be done by the other artists after his death? As a result, this is a rather pale copy of the original art style and thus it looks a bit weird. So I think I'll go tell the lawyer on Paige Braddock.

A Keepsake!
I don't know, the book is a bit too wordy to read to a class, but it gives me memories of a wonderful TV special. I like the book for that reason.

Good Grief!, It's Christmas Everyone.
This delightful book successfully adapts the wonderful, classic television special of A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS to the page. The book is filled with many pictures from the special and most of the televised story remains intact in written form (about the only thing missing is Snoopy winning the decoration competition). The words and text to "Hark! the Herald Angels Sing" are even printed on the inside back cover. Children of all ages love this book and it is sure to be a family holiday favorite to read every year.
