Winter Night
This book is an adeptation of the last half of Dragons of Winter Night. It is a very thick comic book that was written in 1985 after the original chronicles came out. I have only books 1,2,3, and 4 and all of them are pretty acurate in there interpretation of the original.

worth reading
i havent read it yet but i have a feeling that this will be an excellent novel

I've never heard of this
I have almost 80 DL novrls and Ive never heard of thes

Elmo Says Achoo

The Best Elmo Book
This is my Baby Daughter's absolute favorite book. I bought it when she was five months old, because she had the Chicken Elmo toy that she really liked. She just loves this book. She's eight months old and it's really the only book that captures her full attention. (The Hungry Caterpillar comes in second.) We've tried buying other Elmo books, but she's just not as interested in them.

Fun and Funny
My daughter (22 months old) loves this book. The main characteris Elmo, and features a couple of the other sesame Street characters. The book has a great rhyming pattern and my daughter loves when Elmo sneezes and as a consequence knocks thimgs down. My daughter loves all the Early Step into Reading books I've purchased. They offer alot of Sesame Street titles which are great. These books are wonderful for the next step in reading (going from picture books to longer stories with a plot).

Wonderful Book for little ones
This is one of the best books I've found for my daughter. At 21 months this is her absolute favorite book. She won't go anywhere with out "Achoo". She's giggles at every page and can identify all the people inside. We use it to practice colors and shapes. We love to sneeze whenever Elmo does. This is a must have for toddlers. I just placed several more of the Early Step into Reading series in my shopping cart.

I am new to the sport of fly fishing.
I started to fly fish about a year ago. I quickly mastered the basics of fly fishing. "Essential Fly Fishing" helped me learn the how to on fly-casting, where to fish, what flies to use for different kinds of fish, and how to put together a balanced system. This book also touches on how to tie basic flies and shows step by step instructions on how to tie a Wooly Worm. This is an exelent book for beginers. Although I know the basic principles that the book teaches, I still refer to it when I am fishing in new environments and using unfamiliar flies.

FANTASTIC FOR A BEGINNER!
This is an extremely clear, knowledgable, well set out book especially for a beginner like myself. Even my husband, who is not a beginner, really likes the book and uses it too.

This book gave me a very good idea of how to fly fish for a

Excellent guide
Excellent guide, color plates are great aids for quicky identification as well as colored maps explaining range of each specie, it also explains details of each specie in a very detailed way and suggest many tips in order to recognize particular species. I own many guides and honestly this is part of my favorites and best guides, maybe you wont find anything better than this except for the Audubon Guides, considering the extensive color pictures on those...
Sorry about my grammar, Im from Mexico.

Bible of Amphibians and Reptiles of this region
This book was my bible as a boy. For anyone who enjoys watching small creatures in their natural habitats, the life-histories of amphibians and reptiles can be very enjoyable. This book is educational and extremely comprehensive. Even after moving to Europe, I kept my copy of this book, purely for sentimental value (none of the species from back home are to be found over here).

The book is written for those who want a lot of information, yet it is accessible for anyone from a very inquisitive boy or girl, through to university students who want to identify species in the wild. (I know, I used my copy from the age of ten to twenty-five on countless field trips and excursions.)

It's sturdy and affordable, especially considering the amount of information it contains. There are many b/w illustrations within the text showing specific identifying features, and a nice set of colour and black and white plates. More useful than Audubon, if you like these peaceful little animals this book will be with you for a long time.

The most accurate and authoratative field guide available.
Beautiful color photographs, realistic paintings of each species illustrating diagnostic characteristics, and wonderful accounts on each form, from two of the most respected herpetologists to ever live. The color maps are not as good as the original black and white versions, but color photographs by the foremost authority on North American wildlife photography, more than make up for this. The maps are still better than those used in any field guide covering the same geographic area. Every kid should have at least one.

Fires of Darkness
Published in Paperback by American Book Publishing (01 March, 2002)
Author: Tom Buford
Amazon base price: $22.00
Used price: $15.75
Average review score:

Dispelling the Darkness
Tom Buford has not only written a very entertaining book, but an important one as well. There is a darkness sweeping across our land but there is power available to dispell that darkness. This book has it all - demons and warriors locked in a desperate struggle.

I loved it. Not because it's a spiritual shoot'em up, but because it is also a book of light, hope and love.

Delivered From Darkness Into Light
Thought provoking - soul searching - turn you upside down -life changing! Tom Buford, the author, has used his life experience, that took him beyond the gates of hell and back, to write a book that induces self evaluation from a new dimension. He proves with each page that Fact is stranger than Fiction! This story could take place anywhere and could happen to anyone of us. If there were more Mrs. Osborn's in this world, drugs, pornography, violence, and all things evil would not prevail. Each character walks in our day to day life and you find yourself comparing them to those around you. My thought process and perspective on many things are forever changed by this book. This writing reinforces that it is never too late to go toward the light, no matter how black the darkness!

Most entertaining Christian novel I have read recently
Mr. Buford has a real skill - bringing a very serious Christian moral issue to light in an entertaining fashion. I would feel very good about recommending this book to any young or old person as a novel to read over holidays or on a weekend. I couldn't put it down the first time that I read it. Great characters and a great plot. I hope that Tom writes another novel soon!

FireStorms

Author: Tom Baldwin

Riddled with great action
Baldwin is a master of eccentric characters and description. Reading this book is like a rollercoaster ride through foreign worlds, peopled with valiant, humorous, and evil characters. A great read.

Firestorms
A friend of mine gave me this book as a gift.
I must say, even though I've never heard
of Mr. Baldwin, I found this novel quite an
enjoyable read. It's packed with action in
addition to being peppered with interesting
humor. This author is definitely quirky, but most
definitely talented.

Page turner
I enjoyed this book immensely. The twists and suspense left me breathless. This writer draws you so deeply into your characters that you know them like your own family. You are so in the mind of the villian--a truly evil, but complex character--that you almost understand why he is creating such havoc on the City of Los Angeles. His hatred for our hero is only parallel to the cop's hatred for him. It is a true war.

The circumstances surrounding the ultimate explosion and fires blow your mind. They are real and feasible--that is the frightening part.

Can't wait for Tom Baldwin's next book.

Comprehensive tales of an Army Scout Pilot. Good Reading.
Tom Smith tells of his personal participation as a Scout Pilot. To those of us who flew in Vietnam, myself a Marine Corps, CH-46 Crew Chief, it is an absolutely true narrative of what was happening at the time. I did not find the book overbearing or boring and found it to be a good read. Some vietnam tales tend to be full of heavy head trips. Not so with this one. Congratulations. EASY TARGET:THE LONG, STRANGE TRIP OF A SCOUT PILOT IN VIETN
I GREW UP IN THE VIETNAM ERA AND NEVER THOUGHT IT NECESSARY TO READ A BOOK ABOUT THE VIETNAM CONFLICT BECAUSE I THOUGHT I HAD A CLEAR PICTURE OF THE VIETNAM EXPERIENCE.THROUGH THE EYES OF A SCOUT PILOT I WAS GIVEN A FASCINATING NEW PERSPECTIVE!

Hover Lover
Tom Smith's Easy Target is the best book of helicopter memoirs that I have read thus far. Finding direction in life by becoming a helicopter scout pilot in Vietnam, his story takes many interesting and often scary turns. I especially appreciated his description of the manoeuvres and skills aquired as his experience grew. This book played a major part in my decision to get my own pilot's license and begin a career in the civilian market.

A FITTING TRIBUTE TO THE MAN WHO WOULD BE KING
There have been 4,567 books written about Elvis, mostly by people who have never known him, but whose third cousin's sixth-removed niece might have once dated Elvis' former schoolteacher's third wife. Then there's "The Essential Elvis." What makes this book so different is that Samuel Roy and Tom Aspell trace Elvis' life and legacy through personal history as well as 112 of his most significant songs. The book doesn't proclaim to be an expose or definitive history (it's neither); what it is is a clear portrait of the Man Who Would Be King, told through behind-the-scenes knowledge that uncovers and pieces
together the story of a man, his times, talent and cultural influences. And the 20 photographs -- many of which have never been published --- add a nice touch.

A tribute to the King!
This excellent book is about what was most important to Elvis and his fans: his songs and music. One of the most significant things the authors said about Elvis is the following words: «The first and best thing that can be done for Elvis Presley is to lessen the emphasis that has been placed on his later years and focus on the talent and genius that define the King.....one of the reasons for his demise was because he cared and felt too much...it got to the point that being Elvis Presley was one of the hardest jobs in the world». I agree completely with the authors and, as a fan, my only wish is that this book will make the people, who don't respect Elvis, see the light...

An Essential Book
"The Essential Elvis" is an intelligent, thoughtful exploration of Presley's music from 1954 until his death in 1977. It's an important and much-needed book that concentrates solely on Presley's artistry. Authors Samuel Roy and Tom Aspell break free from the ill-informed mythology of most Elvis books by re-examining Presley's work in provocative, exciting ways. You may not agree with all of the writers' assessments, but it encourages you to track down the 112 Elvis recordings listed in their book. This publication is a valuable, long-overdue critical assessment of the King and his musical legacy.

Great for planning
This Eyewithness book is up-to-date and very practical. It contains a lot of pictures which is extremely usefull if you are planning a trip. When planning the trip it makes the book in a way easier to use than for example the Lonely Planet of Boston since you got a clear picture of the surroundings.

Beautifully Crafted Book on a New England City
I live in New England and this is another of my favorite books from this region of the country. DK has always published quality books in their Eyewitness Travel Guides and they have done an excellent job with this volume on Boston. Unless you visit Boston on a frequent basis it is easy to get disoriented. I really found this book quite useful and the colorful layout of this book with maps, illustrations, photographs and text really inspired me to delve into its pages and check out one of New England's premier cities. The historical information on Boston was invaluable. I never realized some of the things I used to walk past. I think it is also very informative, not only from a historical perspective, but also as a point of reference for sightseeing, travel and enjoyment.

Great guide book, extremely well laid out
The Eyewitness Travel Guide to Boston was recommended to me in a bookstore and it was perfect for a recent 5-day trip to Boston. The guide is laid out by area, so you really get a feel for what else is around you when you are at a particular destination. The overall maps are very good and well detailed and the book is chock full of great photos. It also includes great history and background info. My Boston friend kept asking me "how do you know all this stuff?"
