As Ever, Greatness From Moliere
Moliere (nee Jean Baptiste Poquelin) is the greatest dramatist of France, and certainly one of the world's finest. As a comic playwright, he is unparalleled. We all know the story of Don Juan, but mostly from pop-culture sources. Please read this play to discover the definitive Don Juan. As with most of his works, this shows an impeccable comic sensibility, a poignant understanding of human nature, and great skill in storytelling.

The Illustrated Concise Bible Handbook - Not Bad At All !
This is a big book. A Very big book. It contains overviews of the old and new testaments, background insights, archaelogical findings, maps, charts, illustrations and even photos. The text is separated into book, then chapters, then blocks of verses. There's even questions at the end of most paragraphs to make you think about what you've just read and how you can apply it to your life. For each Book, you get a summary, and outline of the main themes, then plain and understandable insights into each chapter with titled paragraphs. In the appendicies there's the meaning of names, records of miracles and parables, and even a list of trees and flowers of the bible - but what you'd need that for I've no idea. Written in plain language, this book is easy to understand and helpful in applying the truths of scripture to daily life. An asset to any biblical bookshelf.

A good, solid piece of scholarship
As one would expect from both Nelson and the OTL series, this commentary presents the results of a serious engagement with the text and context of Joshua in a lucid, readable, and not-too-lengthy format. Particularly commendable is the careful discussion and presentation of the text-critical issues relevant to the book. A good addition to the library of any scholar or scholastically-inclined pastor.

Getting To Know Lincoln
I would recommend this book to anyone interested in studying Lincoln or the Civil War. The author does an excellent job in presenting a mostly unbiased opinion. By stating in the introduction that he allows room for error in his opinions, he sets himself aside from the fanatics and characterizes himself more as a historian in search of the truth than as a man trying to paint Lincoln as he thinks he should be viewed. Moreover, the breath, not sacrificing the depth, of this book is incredible. It covers Lincoln's family and personal life and carries the reader all the way through his assassination. The Lincoln Nobody Knows presents Lincoln as both a down to earth man and as a complex, indispensable historical figure. It causes one to revaluate what he previously held to be fact about Lincoln and it allows room for interpretation-the author doesn't always give an opinion for the reader. Most are "inclined, quite naturally, to discover in Lincoln the beliefs that they themselves espouse," (57). This remains feasible since Lincoln will always be an enigma, but to his credit Current presents sound facts for his arguments and presents both sides, drawing upon many respectable sources. He begins by describing Lincoln's personal and family life-his mother's possible illegitimate birth all the way to Lincoln's relationships with women and Ann Rutledge specifically. It then goes into his involvement in the beginnings of the civil war, his policies and their changes, and the way he conducted the war. That being done, the author finishes by discussing his larger role as a politician, an emancipator, a commander in chief, a martyr and a myth. All of this does well in presenting the multidimensionality of Abraham Lincoln, and it makes one realize that there are not easy answers to questions about good old Abe. It is important to note that much of this text is controversial and a portion of it has implications beyond his contributions to American history-it attempts to define who Lincoln was as a man, not as an idol.

Be strategic and pragmatic, and get a great job !
Interesting jobs are not available in classified. Firstly most jobs available are not advertized. Second, you will work much better in a position that suits your abilities. This is precisely the starting point of the PIE method developed in this book.

Especially for long-term unemployed managers (as we have in Europe), one needs to pick targets, and approach them with a methodology to discover job opportunities after listening to the company's needs. Thus you are sure to value your experience rather than your knowledge, which can possibly lead you to change domain and/or job. Based on the match between one's strengths and a firm's hidden positions, the approach of Daniel POROT is destined to entrepreneurs and people who are chasing with method.

On the way, the process helps the person to rebuild confidence (part of the recommendations involve working out the approach of target companies with other job-seekers). The approach proved very useful to scores of job-hunter! s who questioned their own capabilities on the way. It works also fine for self-outplacement.

The method proposed by D. Porot is based on methodologies developed by Research institutions (such as Standford Univ.) along the years with large corporations. So one must consider the book as the surface of the iceberg, and be sure that the hidden part is solid, even if the methods described seem good-sense. This book helps to have a strategic approach, and at the same time it is full of pragmatic advices to develop each phase of contact with the company you intend to work for.

Yes, you guessed right, I used it! And I recommend it to my relatives, it works!

This book is OK!
