Good Basics
This book is a good read for a CHENG to be. written in 1997, it came just before the major changes in training, but it lays the framework for a sound engineering department. The first chapter covering turn over is especially good. If this book can succeed at teaching you make it through an OPPE, it can help you get through E-QUAL.

CHENG FFG-29

APPLICABLE TO ALL NAVY LEADERS
I am in the Navy Medical Service Corps, and having served aboard ship know that nothing happens in medical without the good graces of our brothers and sisters in engineering. It is a behind the scenes job that has the respect of ever marine or sailor onboard. LCDR Bruhn's book although written for engineers has a few words of wisdom of leadership in today's Navy. It's a great read for any Navy leader, regardless of ones department within the ship.

A must for modellers of the WWII era and historian
A good source of reference to the chaotic application of paint schemes at war time. The color chips at the end of the book give good hints to those who are frustrated by the fraying color photographs. Focuses on the rules of application of different paint schemes and detail discussions on application of national insignia are of particular interest. It will be immaculate if typical examples of each paint scheme of all aircraft types are dipicted.

Whaling Days
Whaling days is a very good book to read. I read it to my children and they liked it alot. It did not give alot of information about what the whale was used for. I learned so much information about the past and new englad. The story was exciting, and I could barley put the book down.

Is Marine Biology the right career for you?
This book tells a lot of great information on how to start a career of marine biology. You learn about how a marine biologist decided to be a marine biologist and if marine biology is the right occupation for you. This book was very helpful since I'm planning on being a marine biologist. It also teaches you about the kingdoms of the sea and their Latin names. In addition to this great book there is a wonderful cd. It tells you all about this marine biologist and her life. Also it shows you pictures of what she sees when she dives . I think the cd is really the big learning help. It is full of facts. This is a great learning opportunity for youngsters. I give this book 4 golden stars!
