A wonderful book
I really liked this book. It is very interesting. The Bobbsey Twins are going on vacation to New York. And while they are there, they are looking for a man's long-lost brother and sister. It shows that nothing is impossible and that you should never give up no matter what.

Funny, Adventurous and Exciting!
Bert was elected to be in charge of the museum at school. Then, the most valuable trophy in the whole museum was stolen! I really liked some of the details in this book, like the dog that could sniff out the bad guys and do really neat tricks! I recommend reading this book because it is funny, adventurous and exciting!

Good Book, needs work though
"The Case of the Close Encounter" was a very interesting book. It starts when Bert babysits Artie Houlihan. Bert goes outside to catch Artie while they play Hide-and-Seek, and Bert ends up seeing a UFO. Bert tells his siblings-Nan, Freddie, and Flossie-about what he saw, and they lauch into an investigation to find out about the UFO.
But someone doesn't want them on the track to end the case. Bert recieves a threatening tape warning him to back off from the case, A man in a scooter threatens the Bobbseys, and Flossie sees an "alien."
The Bobbseys are determined to solve the case--threats or no threats.
The book has a very interesting ending, an the Bobbseys are in for more than they originally thought.

The Case of the Crooked Contest (New Bobbsey Twins, No. 11)

Good, but dull in spots
The Bobbsey Twins are helping out with the Greenwood Cup, "THE gymnastics event of the year." Nan hopes to demonstrate, and Bert, Freddie, and Flossie are filming the show. Well, the book starts to go dull at the third chapter where things start to seriously go wrong: a gold coin is stolen from one of the gymnasts, someone's lucky hair ribbons are ripped, and someone douses a contestant's leotard in perfume. Then the videos the Bobbseys were using end up stolen, and Mary Lee Chin ends up the blame for all of it. I gave the book four stars because the ending is really nice, but the middle of the book lacks something. I really thought this book could have been better than it is.

Courage enough for all
An intriguing, entertaining biography. Reeve's story is a very powerful one, and the author does an excellent job relating it. The book is well researched, giving detailed information about Reeve's childhood, acting career and his life-changing injury.Black and white photos enhance the book. Here's an easy "A", kids!

great bobbsey twins book
A rather interesting book in the New Bobbsey Twins Series. Flossie gets a role in a movie because she looks like lead actress in the movie. I won't say to much more about the book other than the fact that this is one of the better books in the New Bobbsey Twins series.

A wonderful little book by a pioneer of Bee Venom Therapy!
This little book by Charles Mraz, (93 when he wrote the book), of Middlebury, Vermont, is a great introduction to the use of Bee Venom Therapy (BVT) in the treatment of arthritis, M.S. and other auto-immune diseases. Mr. Mraz began using BVT over 60 years ago, and has helped thousands of people, including myself, free of charge. In fact, what little he may make from the publication of this book is the only financial reward he has received from helping so many. The book is a personal account, not overly scientific, very readable. In fact, it may want for a bit more of his vast, albeit un-credentialed, medical knowledge. If you are the least bit interested in BVT for yourself or loved one, but maybe thinking it sounds absolutely crazy, (as I first did!), this book just might ease your fears and give you hope. Charles Mraz claims it works. I can tell you, he's right!

Lessons Learned from this Book
This is a good book. There's a lesson in this book that tells you that you shouldn't get upset over little things. Another lesson tell us that it's okay to get scared because a lot of people get scared.

In The Mood for Funny Characters?
I think this book is really good because I like funny characters. Some of the funny characters in this story are Elliot Banks and Adam Joshua. My favorite chapter is called "The Show-and-Tell War."
