A Must Read!
I am an avid reader and if there were 6 stars to give for this book it would deserve them! I couldn't put it down. This book is so well written that you feel as if you are right in the pages with them. This is the first book I have read by this author and will look forward to reading her other books!

A RARE BUT GOOD NEW BOBBSEY TWINS BOOK
Flossie Bobbsey enrolls in a skating contest with several other girls at the Lakeport Ice Skating rink. But suddenly, things start to go wrong. One of Flossie's mittens ends up in another skater's bag, and her brother Freddie gets caught reading a girl named Karen's journal. Flossie finds another girl's tape in her bag, and the other skaters think that Flossie is the one who's been messing everything up. Freddie, Nan, and Bert Bobbsey go to the rink in hopes of finding the real culprit, when a frightening note written in pink ink is found in one of the girl's bags. Flossie leaves the rink, saying she'll never come back. But her siblings manage to persuade her to come back anyway--and the pranks continue again. Amy's skating uniform is in tatters, and it looks like Flossie's to blame. The Bobbseys manage to clear Flossie's name--but you'll never believe who the culprit is! Even though this book is rare and out of print, I recommend it to any collectors and fans of the New Bobbsey Twins Series.

Exactly right!
For the past two years the Montessori preschool where I am a volunteer has placed this book on display in October. What a wonderful book for 4-year-olds! The illustrations are a pleasure and add their own content to the story. It happens that the families are Afro-American, and an adult reader might conclude that Tommy is being raised by a single parent, but neither of these circumstances is central to the book, which is about adults looking after their children in matter-of-fact, but nurturing ways. You can't finish this without a smile, and you'll not object to reading it aloud as often as a young child would consider necessary.

What a Wonderful Book
What a wonderful book. The Mystical Keys to the Book of Revelation touched me very deeply. I instinctively seemed to know that what the author has written is the truth. For the parts of the Book of Revelation that I already had some knowledge of, it gave me a deeper understanding; for the parts where I was confused, it cleared the blocks. This book also reminded me (again) of the importance of working against one's own ego, as well as of practicing self-observation and meditation. This is an instrumental book for all seeking understanding and guidance as we enter into this exciting and interesting period.

Inspiring Reading for Creative Youngsters
Creative youngsters of a somewhat higher age-range than the one recommended, about 8-15 years really, will find themselves inspired by the account of Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings' early struggle to find her forte as a writer, in this latest of the Creative Minds Biography series. Sprinkled with finely detailed, full-page charcoal drawings, it also draws an engaging parallel between the young Marjorie's life on a family farm and Jody Baxter's in "The Yearling." Marjorie's father Arthur Kinnan nurtured her love of nature just as Penny Baxter did for Jody, which gives us a fascinating insight into the true-life sources for Kinnan Rawlings' famous creations. The highs and lows of her life and career in rural Florida are then undramatically yet sensitively described: the book's tone is quiet and true, as clear and sweet as a brook in Rawlings' fiction.

Fantastic book
I should admit at the start that my mother wrote this book, and that I am biased toward her work.
This is the seventh book in the Adam Joshua series, and one of my favorites.
This book, and the series, details the life of my sister and I, plus a variety of other characters.
Despite the book being named "Nelson in Love," (Nelson is actually Scott, my best friend for the past 13 years) the book is actually about my first true love.
At the time Mom was writing the book, I thought it was romantic that my love was being immortalized in print. After all the years of suffering through her publicizing my periods of thinking I was Superman and running around in a cape, and my fear of monsters, and even my fights with my sister, I was finally reaping the rewards.
That lasted right up until the moment we broke up.
By then the book was already at press, and it was too late to change the girl's name. Some day my children (her grandchildren) will ask who Heidi was.
My mother's personal dedica

Really cute
Great early chapter book. The trouble Wizard and Wart get into builds to a humorous ending. Ending in the message that vacations are great but there is no place like home.

Cute and Fun
This is a clever book with great wordplay, silly jokes, and a very subtle message about not worrying. Wizard (a wizard) and Wart a dog) are concerned when Zounds (a vulture) announces that "Trouble" is coming. Some minor trouble does come, in a way, but the wizard eventually get things straightened out. And (Don't Look Cause This Will Give Away The Story) the "Trouble" that Zounds was talking about turns out to be just the name of another vulture! The pictures are very colorful yet simply done. A great book for beginning readers or for adults to read to kids. The book has 48 pages divided into 5 short chapters...lots of illustrations and only one to five (or so) sentences per page.
