If you are looking for a book full of easy to follow instructions on how to make your own bath and beauty products this is it. It is straight forward and easy to follow. The pictures are great, and give you an idea of what your finished product should look like.

Essays, journals, letters, and an interesting piece of historical fiction tell this story of the young women who worked in the textile mills in New England. Timetable of the workday and Boarding House regulations of the day are enlightening - especially if you think life is hard today!

This collection of letters, journals, newspaper accounts and interviews of the young girls who worked in the Lowell Mills is balanced off by the thoughts of the Mill owners. Great background for the study of Lyddie, by Katherine Paterson.

I really enjoyed this installment of the series. There's always a risk when you set a mystery series in a smaller town. The author constantly has to bring new characters into the small setting and sometimes it can feel very artificial - sort of like the Ensign Smith of Star Trek - you know whenever a minor character is introduced he's going to be gone fairly soon. The small town college setting has allowed Dobson to bring in new characters in a believable manner - this time it's for a Women's Studies crime fiction seminar. Familiar characters do return, though they don't have roles as big as in previous books.

I liked how Dobson skipped ahead to Karen & Charlie already being in the relationship. I get tired of the will they or won't they dance so many book series and TV shows perform. I never would do that in real life, why should I expect the characters I care about to do the same? Despite the existing relationship, there still is some tension between the two, and I think it's realistic and well done. I LOVE how Charlie made up to Karen after they had had a fight!

There are missing books, a suspicious death and a man from Karen's past. I had many theories about how all of these were going to be resolved, and I was pleasantly surprised when I was mostly wrong. I don't know if Dobson needed a new publisher, but I'm glad that Poisoned Pen Press is continuing to publish this fine author.

Karen Pelletier is on the tenure track at Enfield College. She is assigned to escort a famous novelist during a seminar on campus. Sunnye is a writer of novels featuring a female private investigator and Karen has been a fan of her work for years. At the same time, valuable manuscripts and books are missing from the college library. A childhood friend is hired to look into the missing books. When a man is found dead in the library, Karen's significant other, homicide detective Charlie Piotrowski further complicates matters.

I have long been a fan of this series and couldn't wait for this one to be published. I read it in one sitting on the day it arrived. The main character in the series is a college English professor, yet she seems very real and down to earth. The film noir theme of the book is very well done and keeps sneaking in when you least expect it. This novel was and incredibly quick and entertaining read.

This book helps trombonists work on their tone, their legato tounging, sight reading, and playing in general. There is always a new etude to play and when you are done there is another on the next page!

This book teaches basic skills in which any student can pick up! Through 40 studies this book is great. I would recommend it to anyone.

I found this calendar while shopping during a Holiday vacation. My husband and I write down all the appointments and engagements... and have not missed one of them!!! Even our kids are starting to enter their own activities... We love it and are waiting for the 2002 version to be released.

When I found this it was a dream come true! THe spaces are big and lined and enough for the 3 zillion activities my family is involved in!

Really a great book. Mr Rose ability of writing in plain english without sacrifying the purity of legal language is unique. NetLaw is not an "how-to" book, but give reader a precise legal framework (that never become obsolete) of net-behavior main problems, useful both for professional and private people. We're waiting for the next edition, come on, Lance||

Although it's a few years old, NetLaw still does a great job outlining the various legal issues that affect Internet users and service providers.

Although most people will use this book as a reference, I really enjoyed reading it from cover to cover. Having done so, it makes a great reference.

There is no mistaking that shocked, disappointed, guilty, forlorn facial expression of a loved one visiting, and realizing for the first time that their family member is a nursing home resident. They say things like "I didn't know she'd be living this way", or "I hope I did the right thing." How comforting and reassuring it can be for them to have this wonderful tool to review the work they did. The book is awesomely user-friendly! Because of the simple language and extreme practicality of the content, anyone using it will experience a sense of satisfaction with the job well done. Family members will be able to objectify and regain perspective by reviewing what they have written. When details get foggy, as they often do when emotions surface, instead of being tossed about and doubting their decision, an anchor will be there for those who have done their homework. These authors have made the homework easy by providing the worksheets right here in the text.
I am delighted that someone has made a difficult task more palatable and praise-worthy. Now decision-makers will be able to elevate finding the right nursing home for loved one to it's true status-a loving, unselfish and noble act. The joy of doing what is right will make the decision easier. I have not found a text that so superbly and minutely details HOW to do the job.
Nursing-home employees, family members, and residents would all benefit from the content, and enjoy reading this book. I have worked in long-term care for over 15 years, and believe this book to be an answer to many prayers!

This book is a well-written, well-organized book which is great for all parents of babies and toddlers, as well as anyone else (grandparents, etc.) who would like to be well-informed about all aspects of the toys they buy their children.

I was looking for a present for my baby's first birthday and was overwhelmed with the choices in the store. I looked at the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio, 2003 and it greatly simplified the process for me. It not only told me which toys one year olds enjoy, but how best to use the toys from an educational standpoint. I can't imagine ever purchasing a toy for a child without first looking at this book. I would highly recommend it.

This crew never stops. Thankfully, there are people in this world who spend the time actually helping parents. Oppenheim Toy Portfolio, 2003 is as great as ever. I can't even imagine how they rate all these toys, books, videos, cd-roms, etc. Once again Toy Portfolio, 2003 is excellent. Their recommendations have become my bible. I share this book with every parent I know and I have yet to find any parent who hasn't gone out and bought it for themselves. Thank you so much and I look forward to 2004.

This book is the best book I have ever read. I really think it will help younger kids to learn about the dentist. It also shows that going to the dentist is not scary, and how it can be really a lot of fun. I think it is an extrodinary book. I highly highly reccomend everyone to buy it.

This book is wonderfully written and illustrated. It addresses all aspects of the dental visit. It is a great learning tool for young patients at dental offices as well as for teachers in the elementary grades during dental health education. This book also appeals to the preschool age child and is great help to parents who want to acquaint their children with oral health and what to expect at the dental office. I highly recommend it.
