Penny Jordan is one of the best Harlequin writers...
Dominic acted as if nothing happened. As though Christy's adolescent advances had not aroused his anger and contempt. Thr humiliation of his words had haunted her since and stood between her and all other men.
Her career in London had come to a sudden stop because she had been unwilling to engage in an affair, so her ailing mother's need was reason enough to run home.
The last thing she wanted was to see Dominic Savage. She disliked and despised him. But in the end that proved poor protection against his desires and her own needs.

Like all other penny jordan books, this one is excellent! but im only giving it a 4 because 5 are reserve for my favorites (like payment in love). Penny jordan is one of my favorite harlequin presents author. actually, she's the best harlequin author in my opinion! i especially like her books that have plots involving the guy being secretly in love with the heroine right from the start.

One of the best Penny Jordan romances!
I have read Harlequin Presents series ever since I was 14, and this is one of my favorites. The main characters, Kirsty and Drew, are very likable, and the way they met is one of the most original I've read. The plot is very entertaining and sexy. The reason I didn't rate the book with five stars is that I seldom do so, but among Harlequin Presents series, it's one of the best.

Unspoken Desire-Penny Jordan
I have enjoyed Penny Jordan's books. This book, like all her others-depict stories of ordinary people believing in love and when love sometimes eludes them and how they find back the love.

Unspoken Desire is about Rebecca who fell in love with her second cousin, Frazer Aysgarth when she was eighteen but things turned sour when Frazer's younger brother,Rory had an affair with Frazer's fiancee and Rebecca became the scapegoat by letting Rory tell his brother that he and Rebecca were lovers. Rebecca sacrified herself because Rory made her believe that Frazer loved his fiancee and she wanted to protect him. Rebecca was subsequently banned from Aysgarth... Eight years later, when her Aunt Maud summoned her to assist her in taking care of Rory's twins at Aysgarth, Rebecca returned when she learned that Frazer was away. Frazer cancelled his tour and came back just in time to safe Rebecca from the weir pool where she thought that one of the twins fell in. When Rory came back for a visit, Frazer announced that he and Rebecca were engaged. Rory being jealous of Frazer tried to dig up the past but Rebecca could not tell Frazer the truth that she had never had a relationship with anyone, never mind Rory for fear the Frazer would want to know what prompted her sacrifice. When Frazer eavesdropped on Rebecca's argument with Rory, he learned the truth and revealed to Rebecca that Rory knew how he felt about Rebecca but he made Frazer believe that Rebecca had an affair with him and he let Rebecca believe thar Frazer loved someone else. All ends well in marriage... Penny Jordan is one of the most gifted writer of today and I will continue to read and enjoy her books.

Law of Attraction

Law of Attraction a Boring Affair
Penny Jordan's Law of Attraction left a lot to be desired. The book begins slowly and crawls along at a snails pace. Charlotte, is full of self-doubt and is entirely self-centered. Daniel tries to be noble which is unlike most of the male characters in the Harlequin Presents series. The two characters don't interact enough in the story for it to be a plausible romance. Ms. Jordan spends to much time focusing on Charlotte's self-doubts instead of on the relationship between the two characters.

Another Great Romance
Great book!! Good beginning and Good end!!!
Keeps you going all the way through. Way to go again Penny!!

Hardly a romance book
I like Penny Jordan's writing, but I definately believe she went overboard (almost the majority of the book) on how distasteful, the worst character of a man that she described as a hero. He was just too utterly disgusting and abusive to be able to redeem himself in approx. 20 pages left in the book- his complete turnaround. It would have been more credible, if he just sacrificed his love (because he was so undeserving) and Maddy ended up wth a caring man-Griff who was in love with her and her children. How about a sequel where she does end up with Griff, since Ms Jordan left the ending opened?

A dissapointment...
This is my first Penny Jordan book and the only reason that I'll read another one is because I bought two at the same time.

Max Crighton doesn't love anyone but himself. He doesn't love his wife, nor his two children, Leo and Emma. He's told his wife, Maddy, several times that the only reason that he married her was because of her money and the connections her family gave him as a lawyer. That all changes in a trip to Jamacia to look for his uncle David. While there, Max is brutally attacked and 'sees the light' where his wife and children are concerned. He even sees everything that is wrong with his relationship with his parents.

Maddy Crighton has her love for her children to sustain her. When Max leaves to Jamacia, she realizes that she never loved the person that Max truly was, just the illusion of him. When he comes back 'different' Maddy is unsure of whether to trust this extrodinary change that she sees in Max. It's true that he seems to really love his children, but Maddy isn't sure that she can risk her heart again, no matter how much he is changed.

The Perfect Sinner is a totally unrealistic book. Not even really a romance novel, these characters make me want to scream. No one as abusive and cruel as Max can 'reform' as quickly as he did and all of a sudden decide that he's loved his wife all along but didn't want to admit it. Even if he did love her, no one that loves someone treats them like Max treated Maddy. I could understand why Maddy stayed married to him, but I think that it took her way to long to get a backbone.

Overall, I was very dissapointed with this book.

Love this book!
I must say I disagree with quite a few of these reviews! I loved this novel! It was so great to read Maddy's transformation from a shy meek shadow to a sleek confident woman! Yes Max did treat her horribly and no he wasn't redeemed but that's why the ending was left open. So in the sequels you see him revolve more. I can't wait to read the sequels too this book!

poorest Penny Jordan I have ever read
I usually enjoy Penny Jordan's books but I wouldn't even loan this to friends before trading it. I thought it was awful. I thought the story was totally unbelievable and the characters unlikeable. Too much rough sex and too many kinky characters for me. It was a rough road to get to the happy ending.

Definitely different
To Love, Honor, and Betray is different. It is the story of a woman trying to come to grips over the betrayal of her husband. She is also keeping a secret from her daughter that could change her daughter's feelings for her. This book has a definite dark side that borders sinister.

This book has explicit sex scenes and subject matter. It tells of a love affair between two cousins and the trials associated with their love. There is also the storyline of a woman and her stepbrother, whose relationship is based purely on sex and the hatred of their parents.

One part of the book I wasn't satisfied with was the character Estelle. She is introduced early in the book and shows up throughtout with her stepbrother but she really doesn't play a part in the story. She does have a small part in Tara's life after she discovers the circumstances of her conception and birth. I think the author could have given her more of a part in the book or left her out completely.

This book is not for everyone. If you keep an open mind though I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it...

I liked it a lot!!
The beginning was a little hard to follow, because it jumped around a lot, but, definitely a good read.

Disappointment
I found this book unreal and unromantic. This is the story of the love of two middle-aged people (the heroine was 38 years old and the hero 42), a thing that makes the plot ordinary. The descriptions were monotonous and the outcome was not really sensual. The fact that the heroine was widowed at an early age and isolated herself for 15 years after the death of her husband makes her look boring and the whole plot even more unrealistic. Reading this book you realize that there is no climax. At no point does the book take you away.

one of the best works of penny jordan
the story has a good description. the characters are well defined. i would recommend my friends to read this book.

not one of Penny Jordan's best books
i love 2/3rds of penny jordan books but this one isnt one of them. plot: annie has lost her memory a few years back and she has forgotten about her life before the accident. she has been having dreams about a certain male that haunts her sexually. when she saw Dominic the first time, she knows he's the guy in his dreams. but the guy seems to know her but she doesnt remember a thing about him except that she knows he's on her dreams as her lover. little did she know, that he really was her lover for real. he's her husband! well, i like the plot but the story itself disappoint me. Dominic seems too arrogant. he told annie that if they ever get a child by accident, they will have to terminate/abort it. well, he isnt so much of a guy!
