Its not worth paying for that toy bar which looks cute on paper, but doesn't really work well in practice. He has had this since 6 months old, and it is very difficult/close to impossible for my now 17 mo old son to work anything except the black and white roller. So while he does love the big peek-a-boo and other flaps inside the book, even I find it hard to push the triangle squeaky or turn that green dial or push the blue square, the toy is built way too stiff!!! he has done fine with similar concept toys like his crib activity center, so it is not for lack of know-how or trying.
The flaps in elmo's lift and look around the corner or one of the other big sesame street flap books are much more educational and just as much fun.

This book doesn't have many flaps, and the Busy Baby Toy part of it has never interested my 11 month old. We've since bought other lift-the-flap books with much more success.

My 14-month old son has enjoyed this book since he was 9 months old, but the flaps have torn off and the cover has become torn as well already. The activity bar at the bottom doesn't interest him and it's difficult to make the parts spin, etc. The idea for the book is good, but I would buy a good sturdy board book for a kid this age.

We bought this book sight unseen because our 18 month old enjoyed other "Peek-a-board" books. This particular entry makes very poor use of the "technology" of peek a board. I would consider a "good" use one that has a dog or cat peeking through the die-cut holes in the pages. None of the holes in this book have anything peeking through. The cleverness here, if you can call it that, is that the colors match up through the hole. I guess they're trying to hide the fact that the holes exist.

The whole point of these books is to "peek-a-boo" through the holes, and there's nothing to peek a boo in this book. As well, the colors are muted and the text is weak. I recommend you avoid this peek-a-board book if your child likes to peek-a-boo things thru the holes.

This is our 7-month-old daughter's favorite book. She screeches with delight upon seeing Grover. While the colors are soft, there are many interesting things to look at on every page. The message is also nice...it encourages children to appreciate the beauty of nature.

My son loves lift the flap/pull the tab books so I thought this would be a good purchase for him. But the tabs are really hard to pull. I couldn't get some to move at all. He just gets frustrated with this book.

This book is the story of some cute mosters who live in "Ovadare" which is just outside of the human world. They frequently find items from the human world and try to figure out what they are. It features lots of pull-tabs, pop-ups and flaps for lots of exploration. The book sparks the imagination of young people as they try to figure out what the umbrella is for. A great adventure to share with your kids

Very imaginative like Muppet Babies should be!
