A delightful romp for Shifty in his beloved Italy. Surrounded by his favorite things, fast horses, flashy women, and fine food, Shifty finds himself once again unable to walk away from trouble. He meets up with a enchanting series of characters; a wealthy magaician "wannabe", a struggling American model, an elfish "papparazza", a self-centered playboy of enormous wealth and power, as well as a sly and crafty female district attorney with a very special agenda. Shifty has a chance to turn the tables in a no-limits poker game but soon finds the tables turned on him in one of the best surprise endings in the series to date. Even though Shifty leaves all his cronies at home for this trip you'll find that they're not even missed. Another fine installment in a thoroughly entertaining series.

Laura's Rose is a really great overview of the life of Rose Wilder Lane. Of course it is more of a booklet, so you don't get a great wealth of information, but still it brings up lots of details things that dedicated Little House fans will find interesting.

I am disappointed. This book didn't (first) come out until WELL after I had read the entire series as a child! 8-) I would have loved to have had access to this book (and others like it) when I first read the Wilder books. I wanted to visit where Laura grew up but was unable to do so. With this photo guide you can, without having to make the physical trip. And now there is a new edition (which I haven't seen). Lucky, lucky new readers!

Again, William Anderson (who would have to be considered one of the premier authorities on Laura Ingalls Wilder) outdoes himself with this unique collection. This features not only Laura's pre-Little House writings from the Missouri Ruralist and other publications, but a real treat for Ingalls fans - writings from the other Ingalls family members - poetry by young Laura, Carrie and Mary; young Grace's diary, and more. All of this is tied together by Mr. Anderson's editorial commentary and photos. Very nicely done and a good read!

Pre Hospital Management for the Geriatric Patient
Published in Paperback by Prentice Hall (01 September, 2003)
Amazon base price: $33.33

This book is written in an accessible and practical format. It assumes nothing but at the same time treats the reader as an intelligent participant on the journey to understanding evidence based practice.
It is up to date and I was especially impressed with the web address it gives to ensure the reader is kept abreast of any changes since publication.
It systematically explains the need and use of 'evidence', how to find it (the search advice is comprehensive and includes details such as search terms and the best search engines aswell as web addresses) how to evaluate it and also how to act on it.
All in all this book was great, and I would reccomend it to anyone involved in evidence based healthcare practice as it will guide you through the thorniest problems.

Although this is an outstanding series, I thought I was ordering the teachers version of this book. This is the student workbook. It is still a great series though.

This book was recommended to me by a staff member of the Delaware Solid Waste Authority, and I can see why. First off, the author is a retired officer of SWANA, which is the top membership organization for solid waste professionals. When I found that out, my expectations were high - and I was not disappointed.
This book is well organizationed and well-illustrated. It hits on solid waste management legislation to combustion, recycling, and sanitary landfill.

A fine account of a most interesting and crucial series of Civil War battles. Stackpole treats everyone very fairly. Broad in its scope, audacious in its execution this book analyzes the Confederacy's third and final invasion of the North. A very excellent work that is well worth the time.

This is a great resource for information on the Wilder family. Anderson does a good job mixing easy readability with lots of info in a nice little booklet.
