The books written by Dennis Pagen were recommended to me by my first HG instructor. This book is very easy to read, even for people who do not fly themselves. It gives you information about the characteristics of gliders and why they work the way they do. There is also a section about thermals and how to make use of them. What I liked most about the book is that everything is explained from the source but in a very practical manner with a lot of simple, yet effective drawings. This book gives the beginning pilot a good insight into why the techniques he/she has learned are working.

Ruth Fishel has a simple yet powerful way of writing her books. They are thought provoking and are a joy to read. I have bought some as gifts and have received a few as gifts myself in the past. Ruth is a gem and I happen to know her personally. She makes you smile just being around her. I hope many more people will read this book and her others. It is guaranteed to make you feel good!

This book is packed full of information about sex. She has done much research and speaks from experience. When I read the book I thought I knew it all because I had been raised hearing why I should save sex for marriage all my life. When I read her book that was when I decided for myself that I would save sex for marriage. She gives true life stories and statistics that will shock anyone. (I hope) It made me understand more of the ways that men differ from women in the way that they think in relationships. I would suggest this book to anyone curious about relationships, any parents that want to inform their children, and any teachers that teach sex education in the schools. This book is honest, blunt, and to the point. Most of all you will enjoy reading it because of the authors great sense of humour.

I like the way this book makes me feel. Hang on, Hopper! is a very pleasant introduction into Pfister's mycological studies. I find it also gives great insight into his philosophical beliefs. I mean, Hang on, Hopper! Brilliantly, Pfister expresses a lot of the frustrations that encounter today's youth. He provides helpful suggestions for all of us, so that we can keep control, "hang on" if you will, and in the end, triumph.

I first read this book over 20 years ago after I had gotten a divorce and was as low as a person could get. It helped me so much and gave me a better outlook on life. I learned to laugh at myself and at situations that before would have devastated me. I still remember some of the experiences that he told about and they still help me. Through the years I have given this book to people when I thought that they needed it, and they usually did. I am so glad to know that it is still in print.

... I can not express how much I loved this book. I live in St. Augustine (where the story takes place) and I have never heard it more accurately described. The characters in the book are so beautiful and so demented, I was hooked in the first few pages. T.A. Louis is truly a great writer and I look forward to his next book.

This book has it all if you want to lear how to tow any aircraft that is towable! Want to know if your aircraft is towabe? read the book! Want to understand how winching works? Read the book! Want to make a winch yourself? Read the book! Want to lean how to... or improve your towing-skills. Read the book! Want to improve your flight under tow? Definitly read the book! I have been a paraglider under tow for over 2 years before reading this book, and i can tell you now that i have completely changed the way i fly under tow! Moreover i have a better insight in what happens when towing and i can share this knowledge with our new-born-tow-pilots and explain them a lot better what they are doing and better what to do when things are not going right! The only remark i have is that because the book covers all gliders, (paragliders, deltagliders, sailplanes...) you sometimes need to skip a lot of the pages as they may not particullary be of interest to you. My advice: If you fly under tow: read this book!

The reason I decided to do a book report about this book is because it tells you how to hang in there when you are not feeling your best. The other reason I choose this book is because it talks about how to handle anxiety and I just happen to anxiety. I wanted to read about how I could learn with my anxiety and I did. Here are some warning signs that you might be looking for anxiety 1. Mad 2. Sad 3. Angry. The reason some kids have axiety is because they either are trouble making friends, failing, and being rejected.
