classic "must have" for any avid golfer
The dual story lines and time frames keeps the reader interested. This is a keeper for any golfer, especially father-son combos. The main character's love for the greatest game was portrayed brilliantly no mater what life offered him.

I can't wait to get my hands on it again!!
I've read this book several times and still find new details each time. The author is brilliant in his format of two story lines...it truly keeps the reader hooked. William Hallberg provides wonder images and is obviously both very passionate about his writing and his golf game.

This book is good enough to read over and over again.
I read this book several years ago and have been trying to find a copy ever since. Even wrote the author, William Hallberg. I am so please it is being republished.

Ms. Ottman's writing style is easy and clear. Her points are timely and actionable. As packaging designers, we recommend it to all our new clients to help them get the most out of the design process. Green Marketing Book Review
"In recent years most books about our environment have been dismal. Advertisers have struggled with their reputation of deviously twisting public perspectives. How refreshing it is to read about ecological, honest marketing! As an environmental fashion consultant, I consider myself knowledgeable in materials and derivative uses. Yet I learned from this book about utilizing milkweed for pillows and how natural scrap fabrics can be applied as garden mulch. I'm hoping for a third edition." -Delia Montgomery, Chíc Eco Directory Author

The definitive work on the subject
"It [Green Marketing: Opportunity for Innovation] will help you become better organized, recognize your company's strengths and weaknesses, and work toward the changes that should improve your company's environmental performance" -Journal of Corporate Environmental Strategy Summer 1998

"...an illuminating book, full of ideas, lessons and case studies." -Warmer Bulletin UK May 1998

"I am certain that I will be able to utilize this book, with its practical examples, as a guide for providing information to our customers on the environmental quality of our products." -Thomas J. Dagon Director, Health, Safety, and Environmental Affairs Worldwise Business Units Eastman Kodak Group

E.T.: The Book of the Green Planet

Bridge to a new adventure on earth?
I bought the paperback edition in late July 1985 and, beleieve it or not,I have read it more than a hundred times over and over again. It's an astounding story, many clues are given while you read the book on how E.T. can solve his problems. The keen reader can easily predict the outcome of the plot. The way the author connects the two realities, one on the Green planet , the other on Earth is nicely blended through the introduction of the telepathic beam, naturally off course, 'cause et's a little mixed up.This gives way to many funny situations. The book can be read at many levels; Et's worried about elliot becoming grown up.According to et's point of view, people on earth grew up to become violent so his mission now is to save his friend. This is a great message of peace. I think the book is not indicated for children too young, to which I advise reading the illustrated storybook instead. To conclude I always ask myself why in these years Kotzwinkle didn't write a sequel to this book due to its open ending. In an interview, spielberg said that his movie ET is a "gem the way it is" so a sequel was not necessary 'cause it would currupt its magic.I think a new adventure for ET would be great indeed!!

Great Sequel! Should be a movie.
This novel is a joy to read. It leaves off where the movie ended, starting with E. T. watching the Earth slowly disappear out of the porthole of his spaceship. Kotzwinkle has a wonderful imagination and provides a heartwarming tale about growing up, memories, love, friendship, and best of all - adventure. This is a great read. It should be made into a movie. I give it a 5!

The Best One Book Encyclopedia of Fighter Planes Ever
The pictures and text really compliment each other. More
drawings and info packed into one book than I've ever seen.
If you've ever wanted a book that covers every fighter, this
is it.

A must-have for aviation enthusiasts
Twenty-five years ago I bought William Green's 'Warplanes of the Third Reich' and still consider it the best aviation reference book in my library. This book doesn't contain the same extreme level of detail of the other book but is still quite impressive. With a photo and brief description of 1700 fighters this book will excite any aircraft enthusiast.

Green Saxon Darkness
Published in Mass Market Paperback by Disc Us Books Inc (01 January, 1999)
Author: Pamela Cottrel
Amazon base price: $19.95
Average review score:

A Norman Conquest, but a Saxon Victory!
A superb first novel from Pamela Cottrel! An exciting historical adventure with a colorful cast of characters: Alyce, Hereward the Wake (her cousin), Robert de Arne, Simon Giffard and many others. It is 1069 and many Saxon English such as Alyce are a part of the resistance against the Normans. She fights back quite literally against the Norman invaders. However, her fate is about to change when she finds out that she is the real daughter of the deceased but famous Erica the Wild and her much alive father Earl Walthorp of Rosemeade Castle. Unfortunately, a prearranged marriage to a Norman is in her very near future as well.

Along the way to her marriage and Rosemeade Castle to meet both her betrothed and her father, many perils including trying to escape the marriage occur. After meeting a mysterious and handsome Norman stranger she saves from certain death, she finally arrives at Rosemeade. She becomes involved in a love triangle with her father's stepson Simon Giffard and the Norman Robert de Arne. Also, much intrigue, secrets and murder abound in Alyce's new home. She must eventually make a choice between the two men, but her choice is not easily or obviously made.

This book was a wonderful surprise and I'm glad that I ordered and subsequently read it. It made me laugh unexpectantly and really care about the characters. The lead female character is a genuine heroine who will take you on a wild and unpredictable medieval journey.

Green Saxon Darkness
I have read many historical fiction and this is one of the best. Green Saxon Darkness grabs you from the opening line to the last page. You are drawn into the story and experience what the characters experience. Herewood the Wake is a hero of epic preportion as is his cousin Alyce who is one of nine women who are doing their part in the rebellion against the Normans. The women do not play second fiddle to the men in this complex first novel by Pamela Cottrel. I look forward to reading the rest of the trilogy

Little Green Men

Couldn't put it down
Little Green Men is a great sci-fi action-adventure love story that holds so close to the possible one could easily imagine Henry O'Malley, the hero, doing battle with the crazy general in charge of Project Bluebook. The characters are likeable, the story possible and probable, and the plot very exciting. I see this book being a movie in the near future. Imagine Sleepless in Seattle meets Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

Sarah and O'Malley
Excellent description of these two characters; Sarah is an alien, but she is also a woman who is desired and connected to O'Malley. Neither character realizes just what is happening to them at first during the landing of Sarah's spacecraft. While she is saved by O'Malley and his crew she has already defended herself on the spacecraft from some of her enemies.(Also aliens) She is very near death when it crashes in the mountains near the VLA (very large array)in New Mexico. Both Sarah and O'Malley have led very colorful lives before this encounter--and both want out of that past life. This is a book that has to be read when you have the time to just do it, cause it was hard for me to put it down.

The book is written in a simple pattern:

3. [noun]

Students of English as a second language can easily follow this.

Excellent for new readers and beginning scientists

Modern Commercial Aircraft
Published in Hardcover by Portland (1988)
Authors: William Green and Gordon Swanborough
Amazon base price: $42.00
Average review score:

Outstanding Reference
This is what I dream about commercial aviation book! I have detaild deskription of each aircraft, technical data (although it's not a complete as I expected but it's okay), cutaway and three-view drawing. The articles are well written and very usefull and quite up to date on the date it published.
Sadly, there's a minor but signifiant error on page 126, the article on that page was cut out half and wasn't finished. There's also some errors on the airlines section, which some photos and the caption are not correct. Despite of those mistakes, it was not reduce the value of this book.

I also have the successor of this book (ISBN 0760311250), but it was quite dissapointing. I hope that the next edition will reverted into this format again.

Excellent addition to any Enthusiast's collection
This is an illustrated book with substance and very informative. Full of pictures and info about the fascinating aircrafts of the world, and has also the history of the foundation of the different airlines of the world and fleet data of every country which are covered in combination with pictures and section on orders, deliveries, numbers in service makes this book a must buy for any aircraft enthusiast.

An in-depth and up to date guide on Commercial Aircraft
This is an incredible reference to just about every commercial aircraft in the world. With superb color photographs, cut-out drawings of the major planes, and a great amount of info on the planes this is just about the best you can get in this subject. This jam-packed commercial aircraft encyclopedia even has special sections on the anatomy of a flight, the flight deck, the cabin and accomodation, design and manufacture, engine technology, future developments, and the major airlines. The reason why I feel that this book is so fantastic is the cut-out drawings that are so incredibly detailed and that show almost every tiny feature right down to the overhead compartments. I recommend this book to any airplane enthusiast and anyone who just wants to research airplanes and see the technology and details of them.
