THE *best* breakfast & brunch recipe book I have come across
This cookbook is top rate! It is extremely well organized into chapers such as Eye-Openers, Fresh & Fruity, Asides, Egg Dishes, Hearty Entrees, Muffins, Pancakes & Waffles, James & Jellies, Special Occasions, etc.....

This book has inspired me to make many of the recipes featured in the book. You don't have to use recipes just for dinner (as other books commonly feature) but you can spend time & energy to make great breakfasts & brunches. Also, it doesn't take a lot of time & energy to make this a.m. recipes!!!

The book is named after the Grant Corner Inn which was rated #1 by Sante Fe magazine. After reading the few pages of history about the Inn & the recipes I can easily see why!

Get this book and you will not be disappointed!!!

Max Ernst: Dada and the Dawn of Surrealism
Published in Hardcover by Prestel USA (1993)
Authors: William A. Camfield, Max Ernst, Werner Spies, Walter Hopps, Tex.) Menil Collection (Houston, N.Y.) Museum of Modern Art (New York, and Art Institute of Chicago

Average review score:

Max Ernst Pioneer of Surrealism
For all those who want to learn about the position of Max Ernst within Surrealism this is an essential book. Scholarly essays by Werner Spies (arguably the foremost authority on Max Ernst) and William Camfield, who writes in fascinating detail about the transition period when the artist moved from Dada into Surrealism. The period comes alive with rare photographs and anecdotes about the struggles of Max Ernst to survive in Germany after the first world war and his efforts to reach Paris, the promised land. Max Ernst, a true pioneer of many of the art techniques taught nowadays in artschools, such as frottage and collage, is celebrated in this book with not only almost 200 colour plates of many of his masterpieces, but also many lesser known works which show how he constructed his collages. Added to this are inumerable black and white illustrations of the sources for many of his most famous paintings. As Max Ernst never wrote an autobiography,a book such as this is a must for all those who desire to know something more about the artist who is quoted on page 28 as saying "A painter is lost when he finds himself." An artist difficult to know, but this book goes a long way in bridging that gap.

Artis for Mr. Bill in Space
I did the art for Mr. Bill in Space, with the help of NY art director (the Wizard) Jim Wilson, who designed the miniatures for the "movie version" Mr. Bill -- and Carl Waltzer did the amazing photo work. It was the most fun I've ever had working out the sluggo gags with Walter. The whole crazy book I think contains my best ever cartoon work.

The Praxis (Dread Empires Fall)
I'm sorry I'm not somebody for writing great reviews, I'd rather spend my time reading. However, I have to make an exception for this fine piece of space opera.
If you are feeling bored, because there is no new book by Peter F Hamilton to read, the old classics feel a bit too dusty, Weber and Banks haven't produced anything original recently, please, please pick up this book.
It has everything, story telling on a grander scale with a fascinating backdrop of a future universe, to the intimate details of the individual personae and how they come together. I won't give anything of the plot away, you have to read it for yourselves and find out.
