Excellent introduction to the field of allergology
This book is a fine example of a comprehensive work that gracefully introduces the reader to the basics of clinical allergy. Begining with the immunological background and a description of allergens, and ending with the common atopic disorders of the G-I-tract, skin, eye, nose, lungs, and systemic reactions. Each chapters summarizesthe key points in the following text. The language is strict, and the text is well supported by different types of illustrations (photos, drawings, , diagrams, textboxes etc). I find this book useful in many different contexts: medical students, general practitioners, internal medicine, or other who need a basic introducion to allergology. As a conclusion I can state that these 420 pages gave me more, than 1000 other pages in textbooks and papers did.

Roald Dahl: The Genious of Literal Arts
Roald Dahl is most definitely a master of the pen. In this book, he demonstrates this, once again. "My Year", written in the last year of Roald Dahl's life, would add greatly to your collection of Roald Dahl books, or is perfect for a first time purchase from the author.

*Rest in Peace, Mr. Dahl*

Roald Dahl's Final Bow
This book, like every other of Roald Dahl's writings, is a work of art. Dahl writes in a way that reaches into the very soul of whoever opens the pages and awakens the imagination to unlimited possibilities. He gives his work such an imaginative, joyful effect that I have only seen his wonderful writing. Roald spent his last days discovering and bonding with nature. This is a book about the last year in his amazing life.

Roald Dahl's Even More Revolting Recipes

Great fun in a cookbook
These recipes are presented in classic Roald Dahl style. Each recipe takes its name from Dahl's books such as Wonka's Whipple-Scrumptious Fudgemallow Delight and Spitsizzlers. Quentin Blake, who illustrated many of Dahl's books also lends a hand to this collection so the reader truly relates to the material as if these were the recipes that Dahl spoke of in his books. Also, each recipe starts out with a quote from the book that served as that recipe's namesake. The author is careful to note that several of these recipes require an adult's supervision as they are listed as part of the ingredients in those recipes that use heat. This will be a clever addition to the cookbook collection that may even inspire the reader to look into Dahl's books serving as the inspiration for these recipes.

3 IN 1
This 3-in-1 by Roald Dahl is very good. I recommend this book to all you readers out there! The BFG is a book where an orphan Sophie is sleeping one day. She comes across a Big Friendly Giant. They find out that this giant's fellow giants are plotting to guzzle the Queen! What comes after this is all up to you to read and find out! Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator just sends you into pieces. It's off to another adventure with Willy Wonka and Charlie! Ferocious monsters and close shaves they will find on this journey in space. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the sequel before Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator, is about Charlie winning a chocolate prize and wins a trip to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. Chocolate... and trouble is brewing when the other winners are met with mishaps and Charlie and Mr Wonka have to save them! What could be better than this fantabulous book? Maybe two of these books...

This is a vocal/piano score, not a reading book
If you're interested in learning or performing the Randy newman songs from Disney's movie, this is the book for you. I already owned this when I ordered it ...... (where it is simply listed as a paperback of reading level aged 9-12) thinking it was a version of Roald Dahl's story. Because I love music, I kept it and passed it on to other musicians.

Roald Dahl is truly a genius
Roald Dahl has done it once again! I don't think anyone on earth, or even the history of parodies could ever top this book! With his unimaginable ways of reversing children's fairy tales into more adult humor, and making a seemingly boring story come to life, he is truly a genius! I have more than 10 of Roald Dahl's Books and all of them are absolutely astonishing! It's just a shame he's not around to write more!

Hilarious!
This is the funniest kids book ever written! Roald Dahl twists the standard fairy tales in a most creative fashion. This book is definately not PC so you gun paranoia types will hate it. In one tale, the prince whacks off the heads of Cinderella's ugly sisters so he won't have to marry them since the glass slipper fits! Have fun using this as a read aloud (but only if you have tenure.)

Funny and Great!!!
I love this book it was so funny. I liked the way Roald Dahl changed popular fairy tales into funny shorts stories. I think everybody who enjoys laughing should read this book!!!!

CRUEL, BUT FUN
If you haven't read this book, where have you been??? The story is like the perfect childhood fantasy -- visiting a chocolate factory and seeing all the cool inventions!! Willy Wonka is a bizarre character who hides out in his factory, inventing candy with the help of Oompa Loompas (who only seem to show up when a naughty child is about to get into trouble!).

It's a great book, and it teaches valuable lessons about greed. Charlie is a good kid who follows directions. The other children on the tour get themselves into trouble by not listening to Wonka's instructions. They're punished in strange and surreal ways, and we really don't know whether they live to tell the tale.

That's why I'm giving this book 4 stars, not 5. I find it to be a little cruel, and I think Wonka is kind of sadistic toward children. For example, he shows everybody his brand new chewing gum invention that tastes like a 3-course dinner. Despite Wonka's warnings that it's not quite ready yet, a girl named Violet (who is famous for loving to chew gum!) grabs the gum and starts chewing it. When she tastes blueberry pie, her body turns blue. Before she knows what's happening to her and before she can spit it out, she starts blowing up and turning into a blueberry. While the poor girl is screaming helplessly, the Oompa Loompas surround her and start rolling her around the Inventing Room singing a song!!

All of this struck me as a little mean. Wonka never tells Violet that she'll turn into a blueberry if she keeps chewing. All he says is it isn't ready yet. And the Loompas don't seem terribly worried about juicing her. They're joyfully rolling her around and singing about how naughty she is! Instead of learning any kind of lesson from Violet's "situation," I just ended up feeling sorry for her.

Candy, Candy, Everywhere!
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is an awesome book. It is a ripping yarn full of interesting twists and turns. It is about a poor boy named Charlie Bucket who lives in a little house on the outskirts of a big town with his parents and his grandparents. He lives near Wonka's fabulous chocolate factory and is very excited when Mr.Wonka announces that he will be letting five people in his factory and giving them each a lifetime supply of chocolate. The tickets in are hidden in five bars of Mr. Wonka's chocolate. The first four ticket winners are obnoxtious brats. Will Charlie get the last ticket even though he is very poor? The inside of the chocolate factory is a child's dreams come true. Read the book if you want to find out what happened to Charlie. I very highly reccommend it to children of all ages, especially 10-13 (parents should read it too!).

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
"Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" is the, second best book, only second to The B.F.G. the author is Roald Dahl. The illustrater is Quentin Blake. If you're a creative wacky unrealalistic fiction lover, then you'll love this book.

At first Charlie and his family are very poor and can bearly afford cabbage for each meal. Charlie only gets one chocolate bar a year. Then, Willy Wonka, the famous chocolate and candy maker decides to put 5 golden tickets in 5 chocolate bars. Five lucky kids will get them and will be let into Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. Then, amazing things happen to Charlie's life. I liked the flow of the book.

All fiction lovers, if you read this book I guarantee you will be satisfied. Read this book and see what happens to Charlie!

Tracking your Power means also tracking out what you are not
This author know her stuff! And she teaches it so well! What left me amazed is the workability of her exercises and that she drives it home. Even if you are not familiar with the ancient Toltec wisdom, you shall find yourself very well versed as you get halfway into the pages. It has the cumulative effect of freeing you and leaving you feeling great. Easy to follow, yet you are left feeling you have come a very long way toward self improvement. Also look for the chapters on Intent and Secret to being happy. I enjoyed this book so much and would have even the pleasure of re-reading it.

You can change your life!
I just finished reading THE TOLTEC WAY, and I'm stunned by the vast amount of information that is packed into only 240 pages. It is a complete roadmap for anyone to transform their life completely. Of course, it is only 240 pages, however the journey may take years to complete. But, so what? It ought to be worth the effort to find happiness and freedom. Dr. Gregg has written a great book!

There is plenty of Toltec
This book has truly changed my life - it is practical and full of wonderful tools. I read all of CC books about Don Juan and loved the stories but was clueless how to apply the philosophy to my life - this book showed me how. But there is a price - you do have to actually do the work - this is not a book you simply read and put on your shelf - it is a book that will stay with you for a long, long time.

I'm from Missouri and I am a show me kind of person - this book showed me how to let go of my limitations, my fears, and connect with myself in a profound way - the writing took time but as she says in five years you'll be five years older - how do you think you will wish you spent your time.

Susan is a wonderful guide if personal freedom is your desired destination. I had a few questions and when I e mailed her she responded with gentle wisdom and warmth. I have already bought copies for all my friends.

Give yourself a gift and while you're at it by one for a friend.
