So glad to see this book in finally back in print!
I've never read another book to my middle school students that they enjoyed more. There is alot of exciting ghost action, a good intriging mystery and the students especially enjoy the realistic teen-age dialogue. The main characters quickly become the reader's friends and students beg "To just read us one more chapter!!"

Eyes of the Tarot

I personally think that the book was a waste of time.
In the book The Eyes of the tarot, a woman by the name of Bonnie, finds an ancient pack of cards hidden in the pannel of the wall. To her suprise, she finds out that she knows what the symbols on the cards represent. Throughout the course of the book, she is called upon to tell other individuals their future, and becomes completely oblivious to the fact that the cards are telling her that something terrible is going to happen to her family. After she finds out that her family is in danger, she warns them, and protects them from their enevitable fate. However, later she also finds out that she is the next one on the cards, and she knows that there is nothing she can do to save her self from the death that she is about to endure. The reason why I think that the book was a waste of time si because I don't like books like this. However an individual who does enjow books of this nature would most likely enjoy it to the fullest extreme.

This spooky series deserves to be re-released!
Eyes of the Tarot was an excellent book about a girl in high school who realizes she's developing psychic powers. Why is it happening? She soon figures it all out, but has a hell of a time along the way. For instance, when her friend asks for a tarot reading at school, she blacks out and the fun begins. I won't say much more, but I suspect if you're looking for this book, you probably owned it back in the 1980s. This is one of my favorites of the Dark Forces series. I believe it was released around 1983, give or take a year, and as a young child of 8, I was enthralled with this series! I only wish these were available today in my local library - they'd sure give the Goosebumps series a run for its money! This series and the also-loved Twilight series were both the Goosebumps of my day (early to mid 80s) and I would argue that these books are actually MUCH better and more readable as an adult than Goosebumps books are. I find Goosebumps to be quite cheesy, where these books are somewhat more believable and have that classic 70s/80s horror feel that just can't be beat. Between Dark Forces and Twilight, there are at least 80 books that I owned - all of them have a special place in my heart! C'mon, guys... re-release these wonderful series so that kids of today may benefit and be scared senseless! ;)

Yuck!
This book stincks! Its so corny! What a flop! That's all I have to say about this weird book! I mean, Aliens! Come on, write something good!

Tim and Pleskit must deal with a hamster army
Tim Tompkins had waited all his life for aliens to make contact with Earth. When Alien ambassador Mennom and his son Pleskit arrive, Tim has an extraterrestrial for a best friend. The Revolt Of The Miniature Mutants is the tenth and highly recommended volume in Bruce Coville's "I Was A Sixth Grade Alien" series and continues the adventures of this pair of unusual friends when Pleskit's alien vitamin supplements for Ms. Weintraub's classroom hamsters makes the little fellows unusually intelligent -- and aggressive! Tim and Pleskit must deal with a hamster army while unraveling a plot against Ambassador Mennom!

Average for scary stories
I liked the stories in this book(although they were not as scary as they were cracked up to be) only it made me mad when I found out that one of the stories (the main one) was a continuing story. All it gave was a small section about what had happened in the book before, and it did not go into great detail. Other than that, and the fact that the stories are not too scary, it was pretty good. I do not recommend buying it unless you have the first book.

Not a spinetingler story in there.
Story one was sad. Letters from... was weird. Grendel was boring. What's a Little...? was good but not scary. Past Sunset was sad and dumb. I never liked that author. Vampire for... left me yawning. Jenny Nettles was sad but not scary. Basilisk was good but not scary. None of the stories was scary.

Very weak. Not worth the time to read.
The worst thing about this book is the fact that the ghost is not a frightening figure. Also, there are gaps in the plot.
