This brings back memories.
Man, I read these books a while ago. I loved them! I wouldsujest them for any young reader that's into Sci-fi!

Intelligent, Stimulating, and Innovative
I LOVED this book. I've reread it millions of times. Bruce Coville has these genius children explore the abstract ideas of intelligence and existence. Each child is talented and shows kids can do ANYTHING! It makes computer science interesting, fun, and creative while including mystery galore. So read this book and meet Ray, Trip, Wendy, Roger and Rachel as they attempt to create an Artificial Intelligence of their own.

cool
I thought of this book a couple minutes ago and I said to myself, this book was okay, but i think it was a little boring at parts. mainly because Blork didn't get to go into space at all. he was on Splat the whole time.

Watch out for the EXTREME content of this book!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Space Brat 2: Blorks Evil Twin is written by Bruce Coville. It is about an alien from the planet Splat. In the first book Blork had lots of tantrums, but then he went on a trip where he learned to control his temper. There are lots of other weird names in the book. One day, the class goes to the museum where they see some inventions. Something bad happens there, but if I tell it would give the story away. I recommend this book to people who like interesting books. I would not read this book before the first book. There are more after this book , so I would read those too. I would also recommend other Bruce Covill books. By:Benjamin Goodman

This book is very cool.
So far this book is a bout a kid that has a baby brother. He also thinks he is a real monster. this book is a really cool and I wouldn't want to be in his position right now.

It is a cool book with a bunch of cool stories in it.
Bruce Coville has gone and brought some of his short stories and other peoples about monsters together. He has some in like My Little Brother is a Monster and his mom finds a little baby on the front step and they take it in. Then the boy sees that it changes in the light of a full moon. Pretty good book, but some of the stories are kind of lame.

This book is a great Science Fiction Book!!!!!
I liked this book a lot! I would only suggest it if you like Science Fiction. It is the first in the series, so if you read this one be ready to read the next in the series beacause it's a real cliff hanger. One reason I liked this book is it has lots of discription!!

AN EXCELLENT BOOK!!!!!!!!!
I have read this book, over and over and over again. It's very descriptive. And Wendys attitude is so funny. She is my favorite. And I find myself saying some of her sayings.

The Monsters of Morley Manor: A Madcap Adventure
Published in Paperback by Magic Carpet Books (01 September, 2003)
Author: Bruce Coville

Good companion piece to "Pure Dead Magic"
This month is the month of funny dark kids' fantasy, with both "Pure Dead Magic" and "Monsters of Morley Manor" coming out and eliciting chuckles of dark mirth. The cliche are twisted into originality.

Anthony and his little sister purchase five figurines at a garage sale--little do they know what will happen when the figurines get wet. (Add water for instant life!) The figurines not only come to life, but to life-size, and the seven are promptly dragged into a truly madcap adventure worthy of the title.

It appears that the barbarian horde of the planet Flinduvia has sinister plans in mind for Earth. In a highly original dastardly plot, they plan to strip all the dead ghosts from Earth, reanimating dead warriors who will then proceed to take over the entire galaxy (of course *wink*). Anthony, Sarah and the five ex-figurines must been the Flinduvians at bay until the Coalition of Civilized Worlds can show up.

"Monsters of Morley Manor" gives the impression that focuswise, this book is similar to "Pure Dead Magic." Such is not the case; this one is far broader in scope, given the weird mix of SF/F/H. We have galactice alliances and invaders from another world for scifi; we have wizards, vampires, werewolves and others for fantasy; we have reanimation of the dead and lawyers for horror.

However there is a sufficient amount of that kind of humor to satisfy those who liked "Pure Dead Magic," including a creepy mansion; and the kind of weird originality that Coville fans crave is quite present. (I personally think Coville is improving his writing with every book) His writing style is brisk and a bit underdescriptive in places, though admittedly he can't get too darn descriptive, given the wide range of the plot and cast.

For those of you who grinned at "Pure Dead Magic", grinned at the other (non-Unicorn) Coville books, and laughed yourself silly at the overwrought "Shattered Mirror," this book is a nice read.

Another Sci-Fi Monser Masterpiece
This is a GREAT book! It had humor, action, adventure and mystery! Bruce Coville writes MANY Science fictions, and this is a monster one, too. Alot of mystery, too. I would reccomed this to readers 10+, though i am twelve and loved this book. The only problem is that its 244 pages, with small writing. Thats is WAY TOO SHORT! For me, a least.( I DID get the biggest reader award...)So in all, this is a great book!

Fun!
A whole book of frog fiction: Who thinks of these things? Nancy Springer, apparently, and I, for one, am glad she did. These eight stories are a hoot, each focusing in some way on frogs. The majority of the stories are humorous, as one might expect, but every once in a while one of the authors throws us a curveball. Stephen Menick's take on the Exodus story as told by Pharaoh - plague of frogs included - has as much power as any short story I've ever read. What a nice surprise. Janet Lisle's story of a little girl who enacts revenge on a cat-eating coyote by making up a tale of mutant frogs in emminent danger has a delicious dark edge to it. And fans of Brian Jacques' Redwall books will get a kick out of his contribution about a blustery frog king whose lazy pond receives a surprise visitor. Illustrator Tony DiTerlizzi clearly has fun with these stories, producing a Rockwell-like charm with his black-and-white art. I am withholding one star for the simple reason that the stories begin to feel a bit repetitive, but that doesn't change the fact that this book is a frogful of fun. Give it to the frog fan in your life, or simply enjoy it yourself.

Well named!
This is a whimsical collection of daft and not-so-daft stories about - well, yes, OK, frogs. Nancy Springer, the editor, has brought together a terrific bunch of writers and the results reflect the quality of the contributors. Springer's own story is a delightful heart-warmer with a good twist. Robert J. Harris' creation, Jim Croaker, deserves a series of his own, and the story is reminiscent in some ways of Mark Twain. Janet Taylor Lisle's contribution is a lovely piece of work, the central character is so very endearing, if very humanly prickly! And Jane Yolen, America's answer to Hans Andersen, delights as ever with a very different kind of Green Plague, and she manages to weave her serious points invisibly into the fabric of her tale.

All in all, this is a wonderfully quirky slim volume - slightly outre in places, but well-written, clever, hugely enjoyable and, yes, I found it - ribbiting - sorry - YOU try reading this and NOT making frog jokes for days!

Romeo and Juliet Review
I have recently read "The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet" in school. I enjoyed reading this play as I felt it provided me with a different outlook because of its vocabulary. The plot of the story was very romantic, but in the end the play became dramatic. It tells a story of true love between two resented families, Montague and Capulet.
Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet risk their lives to be together and nothing could get in the way of their feelings of true love. Even though their families hated each other, they still found a way be married, although it was not easy because of all the tragedies throughout the play. Romeo's best friend, Mercutio and Juliet's cousin, Tybalt both died. Also, Juliet's father was forcing her to marry Paris, another man. There were many more tragedies, which kept the two lovers away from each other. The name of both houses was the main reason why Romeo and Juliet could not be together. As Juliet said, "What's in a name?" If it were not for the significance of the names there would be no tragedy.
Without William Shakespeare's acts of irony, love, hate tragedy and pride the story would not have been worth reading. The way he twisted the story when they got married was unusual too, as getting married can make life different in a good way, but in this story, not.

Exeptional
This book is a story tells a story about true love. The characters Romeo and juliet has been a role model for many people in their love life. This story includes all the elements to prove that love that Romeo and Juliet had was true love. William Shakespeare uses tragedy, love, hate, pride, and irony.

Romeo, from house the house of Montagues,is best described as a love. He does things for Juliet even though it risks his life. But no matter the consequences, he went with hs feelings. Juliet, from house of Capulets, is a lover at will. She had never loved a man as much a Romeo. But though they were from opposing families, she finds a way to marry him.

There were many tragedies. Two being Mercutio and Tybalts death. There were many more tragedies that happened and one main reason why they happened which was the fact that the two house were against each other. This caused all the tragedies because if they were not, both lovers would live happily. One thing that kept the family against each other was the pride in their name. If it were not for the name then all would not end in tragedy.

One ironic part in this story was when the two lovers got married. Getting married usually makes life better but in this marraige, it made thing worse and turned the story into a different direction.

This story must have been the best story i have ever read. It is love story that makes me think of how far i would go for a girl. Though it is hard to read, I enjoyed it very much and i suggest the book to all the lovers out there but could be enjoyed by all.

Romeo and Juliet, a truly love story
Romeo and Juliet are the two most known lovers created by William Shakespeare. Their love story is one to be cried for, and it really shows the true meaning of what love is. Many people have claimed and agreed it is the most sad but romantic play ever written, and it really is.
They're a pair of star crossed lovers, who fall in love at first site. Their hopless love is denied from the very beginning: their families have an awful hatred towards each other which has been everlasting. They go through many tests for them to prove they really love each other: Romeo's best friend dying; Romeo's exile after murdering Mercutio, Juliet's cousin; and finally Romeo learning his dear lover's "death".
Although it has a tragic ending, many people say this story is actually happy, for they both die at the same time, and their love is kept together, for eternity.

Goes a bit far for me...
I love a good light-hearted sci-fi. (I like Star Wars for the droids and aliens, but the battle planning scene bores me) Space Brat was a bit much. The book was written for a younger audience and the Blork character isn't developed well enough for me to like him. "Aliens Ate My Homework" is a better Coville choice as far as I'm concerned if you want to get wrapped up in a good bizarre tale of outer space.

Review for Space Brat
space brat Recently I read a book called Space brat, by Bruce Coville. In this book there is an alien that is labeled a "brat" when he was born. He is known throughout the galaxy for being the best at throwing temper tantrums. One day in his school , it is show and tell day and the brat decides to bring in an animal that he had found. He doesn't know that the animal he found grows really fast . The next day he decides to bring in his pet. When he gets to school the poodnubie(or his pet) is so big that it knocks over everything in the class room. His teacher got all mad about it and yelled at him. That night, Brat decided that he and his poodnubie should go out. when they were outside they saw a weird figure, so they decided to follow it. They followed it to a different planet. when they got there they had to hide because they didn't want anyone to see them. they were discovered the king an d he brought them with him. The king asked them why they were there. they told him the story of how they got there. after the story the king was hungry. He was sick of the meals that he had been eating lately so he wanted to try something new. What the king wanted to eat was Brats poodnubie. the brat wouldn't let him have it so he through a big tantrum,( since he was the best person in the galaxy at throwing tantrums). The king was so impressed by the Brats tantrum that he made a deal with him that if he taught him how to throw a fit, then he would not eat the poodnubie. Brat didn't tell him because he wanted to be the only best. The king kept threatening Brat but he wouldn't give in. Finally, when the king was about to eat his poodnubie, Brat finally let in. he figured that even if he taught him, he would still be the best on the planet. A few days later they decided to go back. I thought this was a very strange book. it was kind of fun to read. I guessI enjoyed it.

Space Brat
This book is about an alien named Blork who throws big tantrums and gets what he wants. He brought his poodnoobie Lunk to school and then Lunk destroyed the whole classroom. The teacher called the Big Pest Squad. They turn things into dust. Blork saved Lunk and then went to another planet. There were lots of Things on the planet. Blork and Lunk almost never got off the planet but they did.
What I liked about this book was there lots of things I liked in this book, such as aliens, a creature that looked like a dog, and space. I would recommend this book to other readers because it's an interesting book.

WHAT A GOOOOD BOOK
In the book 'The Dragonslayers" there were 2 witches who made a dragon who caused a lot of trouble. My favorite character is the princess because she wanted to kill the dragon but her dad would not let her but she did any way. My favorite part was when the witches were arguing about what to put in the mix to create the dragon. I would encourage any body to read this book if they like witches that argue and mean dragons. Its a real good book.

Great book!
I was a huge fan of Bruce Coville in 4th grade when I read the "My teacher is an alien" series. That series got me hooked to his style of writing, so of course I got my hands on every book of his I could. I read this book in 8th grade, 4 years ago. It is definitely an easy read, but I was completely carried off by the story and read it straight through the first time I picked it up. Then I read it through again, the very next day. I believe I've read it about 4 more times since then, just because it's such a great example of a rollicking, fairy-tale adventure. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants an entertaining, captivating read. I only gave it 4 stars because I think it could use some more description in places plus the simplistic language. It's still a beautiful tale, though.

This is a book about a dragon that threatens a village.
What would you do if a fierce dragon were to come to your village to destroy everything you knew and loved? In The Dragonslayers, a book by Bruce Coville, King Mildred faces that situation. Stuck in this situation, he goes to all costs to slay the dragon. After his knights turn down the offer, King Mildred deperately promises to give Princess Whilhelmina's hand in marriage to the slayer. Elizar, a squire, takes on the job along with Brian, a young page boy. Despite her father's offer, Princess Whilhelmina goes off to kill thedragon before Brian and Elizar do. In the end, Whilhelmina, Brian, and Elizar team up to kill the dragon. The characters come together with the plot to form a good story. The characters play an important role in this story. They are well described, which makes them very realistic. I liked how each character had his/her own hopes and dreams. Brian wanted to prove to the others that he is more than just a page boy. Elizar hopes to find his long lost son and wife. If you want to read an adventurous book, read the Dragonslayers today!
