Maurice Pledger's works are all great. The illustrations are beautifully done. Pledger uses a strong vocabulary which I have found helpful in stregthening the vocabulary of children.

Excellent true autobiographical story of a Holocaust survivor from Warsaw. The author then became a KGB agent until defecting. Then he went to Israel and has interesting comments on that. A must read for those interested in this subject. I found this out-of-print book in a used store in Ginza (Tokyo) Japan

This book is an amazing look at the true horrors of the russian army during world war ii.

The nazis were bad enough. Then to read about the russians who were supposed to be our allies and they massacre innocent men women and children. Wow! And the author's amazing autobiography was the best story I have read in my adult life! I recommend this to everyone who has a keen yearning for the truth. Read it. You will believe it.

I use this book in my classes that I teach on witchcraft it is a very practical book

This is a great book for introducing children to a variety of textures. It does this by incorporating typical seashore elements with textures a small child can feel. In addition the reader has to hunt for hidden treasure throughout the book. This provides a fascinating learning experience for young children. Our one year old absolutely loves it!

In addition, an in-depth discussion of his life, including cultural and socio-political influences, is discussed concurrent with a review of not only his major masterpieces, but his minor, early works as well. An absolute must for anyone who has become enamored with his work, or the work of other similar sublime, landscape artists of the period.

my dad told me to read this book and I looked at him like he was crazy. I hadn't read a book any harder than Harry Potter and MAD magazine for the last few yeats. I agreed to give it a try and sat down and read the back, this sounds like an intersesting book so a started to read. After about an hour of reading it I realized that I couldn't put the book down. One thing about Cats Cradle is that its a very well writen book but it doesn't have a high diffucuty of reading, so a boy like me who could read and enjoy it. I wonder Voneguit knew that his book would apeal to such a large audience, and I wonder what age group it was ment for. If their is 5 books that I think everyone should read in their lives Cats Cradle would deffenitly be one of them. The book is funny, it makes you think, and it is very very well written. So if you havn't read this book, jump into your car or bike or whatever and go to the library and get Cats Cradle, by Curt Voneguit. It's a great book.
