A Child's Goodnight Book
Three generations of our family have used this book at bedtime and our current copy is taped together! A soothing, rhythmic book that talks about pussycats, kangeroos, wild things in the forest, sailboats and engines all getting quiet and sleepy. My grandson saves it as the last book to read and he falls asleep by the time we finish the little prayer at the end. A very special book indeed!

ONE OF THE GREAT BOOKS!
In 1964 I found this book in a library in Augsburg, Germany while searching for a way to explain to my 5 year old daughter the sudden death of her 3 month old brother. I checked the book out and read it to her that afternoon. The simple story of a group of children finding the dead bird and burying it with a little, sincere and heart-felt ceremony was comforting to her, and with the last picture of the children playing nearby and falling leaves beginning to cover the little grave she was able to understand the finality of death. She said, "And we'll always be able to remember Matt when we want to, won't we, Dad?" This is the only "real" Childrens' book about death that I have ever seen. It should be in every pre-school and kindergarten library; no, in every library!

The Dream Book by Margaret Wise Brown
A gently rhyming book of the dreams of a rabbit, horse, ...fish, bird,...little boy, little girl etc. And the reiterated reminder "Think of the world as it can seem,
Towards such a world first comes the dream."

The world can become a better place, but first we must dream the dream. A very timely reminder from a book written over 50 years ago

The In door noisy book
My husbands little girl used to say "noooooooooooooo" along with the questions in the book. She was killed by a drunk driver as a young adult and the memory of this book-
A Father with his little blonde haired angel in his lap laughing and reading together is priceless. It was great for interaction.

A Primary Colorful Classic
There is this storybook. It's the one you always want your parents to read aloud, over and over again. When you go to sleep, you want to become part of the poetry, and help the two kittens, Brush and Hush. Carelessly, and by no fault of their own, they transform the world by haphazardly dumping and mixing the colorful paints from their endless supply of cans. The pages in my old book from the 1950s are becoming brittle and yellow, but it still hold a special place on my bookshelf. The imaginative illustrations and charming story are an endearing part of my childhood. It brings back wonderful memories to this day.

Color My World.....
Come tag along with painter mouse and his apprentice, as they take the reader on a whimsical, color-filled adventure. Margaret Wise Brown's simple and lyrical rhymes are engaging and introduce each of eleven colors. But it's Loretta Krupinski's exquisite and imaginative illustrations that make this picture book a real standout. Each dazzling two page spread is centered around one color, and the bold, bright, and busy artwork invites little ones to linger and explore. With a creative summary of colors at the end, to help youngsters remember what they learned, My World Of Color is an interactive feast for the eyes, and a definite preschool crowd pleaser you don't want to miss.
